  1. i'm sure the family and friends of the victim are overjoyed at his last moments being broadcast on the internet.
  2. it doesn't cost anything. and i don't need a printer. 😁
  3. back on the uk for a visit, contactless payment is so quick and easy, don't understand why thailand has implemented the faffy QR system when a much more efficient and effective payment system is available.
  4. top 50 should be achievable, it's not a great airport, but it's not bad. anyone who travels widely and regularly will know there are many far worse airports around the world.
  5. oops, that went right over your head...
  6. not sure he's allowed to criticise or complain about thai airways, or anyone or anything in thailand, without opening himself up to being sued, regardless of how true and valid the criticism or complaint is... only been on one thai airways flight, and that was only because it was a flight share, and none of the seats reclined, never before or after traveled on an airline with non reclining seats. will never knowingly travel on thai again.
  7. ridiculous photo accompanying this piece. where on earth is any QC, or do the people running this site simply not care.
  8. if only more threads could be as pleasantly amusing as this one.
  9. i have a friend, well acquaintance, here from the uk. he has been involved in the sex industry for years, had thai and filipino gfs and even married, for a while, a filipino. he has always slept with prostitutes when in relationships, and saw nothing wrong with this. however, when i asked if he would be ok with his gf/wife doing the same he replied; no way!
  10. the authorities need to stop the songkran 'seven deadly days' nonsense and realise that every day is a deadly day on thai roads. and when they've realised this, do something about it.
  11. if the motorcyclist had been going at a reasonable speed and/or paying attention he would have been able to stop.
  12. I must be a Aussie because they don't teach basic grammar at Australian schools?! 🤣
  13. you have to wonder what was going through their minds. anyway, plenty of contemplative time now.
  14. good points, for basic users you get what you pay for, i've had HP, lenovo, acer all pretty similar, for sure check keyboard ans mousepad, and screen size and weight if that's what's important.
  15. It appears they put a hot 🔥 candle in your ear and it apparently melts the ear wax I was tempted but decided not to very wise. https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/earwax-build-up/
  16. not a bad price, if it works. buffering does my head in so i've gone down the robust nord vpn route and mainly watch uk tv, and download other stuff from tpb. i managed to get a three year deal with nord for something like 70GBP for the three years. sorted. bargain.
  17. i like gifts i'm ok about sharing food my family is extremely important to me this one difficult as i'm happy snogging in public i have been known to have a bit on the side. am i so different from other foreigners here?
  18. will we be able to see it from space?
  19. a report out in the uk today, charging points have become considerably more expensive as the providers look to fleece the ev drivers, who are now, if not charging at home, paying much more per mile than petrol/diesel owners. 😏
  20. totally disagree with your generalised TIT thai bash comment, i have absolutely no issues with my home or mobile internet in thailand, whatever site i'm visiting.
  21. Every April in Thailand young men take part in a lottery to determine whether they will be forced to do military service. Pull out a red card and you are drafted for up to two years. A black card means you are exempt. only those who haven't had the foresight to do the boy scout/cadet training thing while at school. very easy to avoid military service, no need to get involved in the lottery.
  22. but personally I don't trust Thailand (or Thai people in general) to strictly adhere to laws in the same way Europeans do. this criminal free paradise you refer to certainly does not extend to the whole of europe, in fact i can't think of any criminal free country in europe, though i haven't been to finland. or, is this just an excuse to thai bash, which is surprising given you seem to have chosen to live here.
  23. he's far more amusing than Trink, not obsessed by the sex industry (yawn) and, importantly, he's original, he doesn't cut and paste other people's writing.
