You seem to have forgotten who couldn't accept defeat and to this day STILL denies he lost a fair election, proven about 60 times in the courts. It's fine to "rah rah" for the candidate of your choice. It's unacceptable to cast shade on a party for the act of a would-be killer.

You are probably right there Ralf. It has happened before, but with the older notes, I thought they just disintegrated. These new notes are quite pretty, and are not paper. A plastic pollysomething, so they didn't disintegrate. I had some of the older 20 baht notes that got wet, so I tried ironing one - make a nice, crisp, dry note. Well, there is a pouch that expands like a little balloon when you do that, rendering it useless. I can't stand those new 20 baht notes. Nasty plastic pieces of garbage. Just something wrong with them.

For years I've been using Photoshop to fill in the blanks then sign the extension form. My handwriting is abysmal on a good day. This year Chanthaburi immigration wouldn't accept it. They handed me a blank form and said it had to be filled out by hand in blue ink. There was also a new (to me) form acknowledging that I was aware of the overstay penalties. Last year they had me make a map to my condo. I used Google maps and gave them extremely accurate directions which resulted in a visit from immigration officers. This year, I hand drew a map that will send them into a canal. I know it's easier to maintain a visa here than in some countries, but some of their policies are still an illogical PITA.

There were several very viable candidates, and if the Dems had pulled their heads out and started working on name recognition for these challengers a few years back, we wouldn't be having these ridiculous discussions. As it is, I honestly think the Dems were in a severe state of denial, hoping no one would notice how far Joe's cheese had slid off his cracker, and now we're going to pay a very heavy price for THEIR incompetence.

Two weeks ago I asked the Chanthaburi immigration officer if they ever allowed agents. They said they never see any agents, so no, there aren't any agents in Chanthaburi.

Be VERY CAREFUL about being misdiagnosed. For obvious reasons I can't name and blame. A doctor in Pattaya performed an ultrasound then recommended a procedure (can't remember the name but it's basically shoving a steam cleaner up my urethra and blasting away a portion of the prostate). Would have cost over 200k baht. I have health care in the US, so during my annual family visit, I got a very thorough exam. They told me I was NOT a likely candidate for this procedure. That would have been money and 6-12 months of suffering/bleeding for NOTHING! Get at least another exam, maybe two. This is not a thing you want to get wrong.

I just went through this nonsense this morning. I had to upload a photo of my passport, then a selfie. The way the passport photo is framed made it look like it recorded ONLY the passport. I didn't realize it also took in the surrounding area. I took this photo with the passport lying on my desk in my birthday suit. I inadvertently sent them a dick pic. There was no option to try again. I was just making a typical xfer the same as I've done for years. I boycott anything from Nestle's. No large corporations are pure as snow regarding their ecological impact on the globe, but Nestle's is in a horrendous category all to themselves.
