That's a selfish, myopic view. As a US retiree, the right person in the White House makes my life easier, the wrong one may really screw things up. Republicans want to privatize Social Security. I'm a retired civil servant, basically Social Security on steroids. My pension is directly aligned with Social Security, and if the Republicans tank it, as they are salivating over doing, this could hurt me and millions of others in the same boat. You better believe I take someone messing with my income seriously!
