I wish I had known that....I went for the short stop over (90 mins or so)......damn!!!

I am lucky that the level of tinnitus is such that unless some asks, have you got tinnitus, or posts a thread on tinnitus, I tend not to notice it too much. I do get the occasional burst which about 10x louder, but it lasts less than a minute. That scares me!!! If it were that bad I genuinely could not cope.

Quite excited about the Q suit.....used to fly regularly with the wife and four kids....so it was cattle class every time. On my own this time so splashing out.

Agree 100%......it is a fine balancing act for individuals and/or governments. On the edge of struggling, but with the hope of better things to come in the future .........one reason for governments of all shades to also have an enemy for the populace to focus upon.......immigrants, Jews, Communists, Wokists, ANTIFA.

You are right......once you start, boom (or rather fssssss)...that's it. I first noticed mine wearing noise cancelling headphones. With nothing playing I could hear a continuous, high pitched note and assumed the earphones were faulty.......oh dear...nope!!! Twenty years in heavy industry has destroyed the finer hairs at the entrance to the cochlea......no remedy I am afraid.

Same here....got by for three months on just a fan in her village.....before other things persuaded me there is more to life....especially as time is running out.

100%.......I guess everywhere is the same, but I seem to be more conscious of this mindless selfishness here. Ha.....a guy has just driven into the 'resort' we are staying in and parked across the access road, blocking four cars from moving in or out. Unbelievable. They just don't seem to think or care.

Staggering isn't it that people are allowed to do something like that? A beautiful beach, waves lapping onto the shore and the sound of a PA system blasting out.......criminal. I will never understand why people find it acceptable to disturb anyone else's peace in anyway.

Agree..... for true tinnitus that is! There maybe occasions where something triggers tinnitus like sounds that can be treated, but there is no hard and fast remedy for 'true' tinnitus. Sad, a farmer in Wales committed suicide last year......said he couldn't tolerate his tinnitus anymore. If a cure is developed I would happily stump up a good deal of money to be put on the waiting list.

Most memory you can afford. Not a fan of Apple, but the iPad is a nice piece of kit. I was torn between the iPad and a 13" MacBook Air .........having used both extensively I prefer the MacBook on so many levels.
