    To be fair, if the driver had had a few, and/or was on his phone and/or lighting up, he might not have even noticed what happened...........people are too quick to jump to conclusions claiming he just drove off.....NOOdle heads I call them.

    We have a medical centre about 250m away. The patients sit just outside the clinic, under cover. A girl comes out and uses a PA system to call them in to the surgery.....she is stood in front of them.................. and we can hear clearly ever name that's called.

    I hear you......but only just, through the constant din that consumes Issan. Just to add to the constant noise the burning season is upon us......I would agree.....do not retire to Thailand. Even a twenty acre estate will not protect you.

    Are there not 100's of these buses sat in Malaysia or Singapore or the like for decades........reject over a big argument about taxes........and whether they were classed as made in Thailand?

    Told this story before, but it bears repeating..... Wife took her first driving lesson on the Monday, past her test on the Tuesday.

    Funerals, weddings, praying for the village (whatever that means), 'special days'......the list goes on and on. There are three things that Thais like more than food and drink..... burning stuff, modified exhaust pipes and PA systems. I bet the school was going full blast day after day on their PA system.....it would not have just been the noise from a few kids that drove this guy over the edge.

    Read a number of these cases recently.....dumb as rocks...... ........turn the music down or even better, off...........Don't annoy the locals and make sure you pay the right amounts to the right people. Job done.

    Scary. I always make a point of photographing the plates and the driver if the wife is catching a taxi by herself.

    There seems to be some confusion here......... power is a measure of the rate at which energy transfers....and is measured in Watts or, if the numbers are big kilowatts The amount of energy transferred is measured in Joules, or if the numbers are big kilowatt-hours. Kilowatts = Power Kilowatt-hours = Energy Appleogies if I am teaching anyone to suck eggs.

    There is/are? no end of kids.......12 to 15......careering around on motorbikes (modified exhausts obvs) all day long where we live......never in school. I asked the wife what happens when they don't turn up at school......she shrugs and says nothing happens.

    Absolutely horrific...............but we have all be so, so close to being in the same situation......lorry drivers simply don't give a flying........driving too fast in bad weather and too close to the vehicle in front.
