  1. Me simply waking up, and hanging around a few more years, after a minor health scare last year at this time. The simple things... life itself 😎
  2. I can say the same about most things over a 3 yr period. ... Died of old age ... Has cancer ... Is an Alky/druggy ... Chain smoker ... One of Alphabet folks ... Cis male/female ... Rich/poor ... Bought an EV, truck,MB ... Died of few things, not COVID Chance of dying from ... least of my concerns...IMHO
  3. Putting it in print, or actually seeing & hearing it ... ... which is more believable ? I don't believe or trust most things I read, especially when from 'source stated' ... 😂 Kind of eliminates people asking for a link, or source, and of course, has to be one of their bias MSM entertainment sources. Or worse, they didn't look at the link ... vids are hard to ignore, especially short ones.
  4. Same down here/PKK, as all new meters (inclusive, 14 month on) seem to be digital. One builder, having new houses nearby, about 15, this past year, and all have new digital meters.
  5. Nah ... Rainy season knocks it down, and makes things too wet to burn. Less cool temps let the hot smoky air dissipate to higher altitudes. We only get a couple months of bad air down here/PKK. More coconut & pineapple farms, than sugar & rice, so less burning to maintain. Pineapples alone take 2 yrs to yield fruit. Along with, very thin, long province 10-15 kms wide, with hills to the west/Myanmar border, and Gulf eastward. We get a break in that aspect. As things widen up, northward, it gets much worse. Hua Hin (1 hr North) usually much worse than us. Then as you go Northward, it just gets horrendous, for about 6 months, (Nov-June), as the news-blip points out. Till rainy season starts again, end of May.
  6. I usually only do COD, as I don't want them leaving anything on the doorstep when I'm not here. We're O&A locally too much. If not home, I'll pick up & pay next day their office.
  7. IF just knocking around town, my unnecessary morning cruise to the park & surf, with numbers of total after return home, and a bit faster driving. To; 10.7kWh per 100 kms = 432 kms per charge Total: 11.7kWh per 100 kms = 395 kms per charge. NEDC rating: 403 kms per charge WLTP rating: 320 kms per charge To park & surf: Total morning cruise: We really don't need a car, but IF we did that everyday, <5500 kms a year. Along that route, I pass Makro, 7-11, PEA/PWA, BBL & Post Office, Along wth morning fresh market, coffee shops & restaurants. Too lazy to uncover the MB this morning, as my usual transport for morning cruise. When exploring locally, a bit more mixed driving, and on Hwy #4 (Phetkasem Rd) @ 90 kph, and side roads @ ~60 kph, we get 360 kms per charge. On straight hwy driving, @ 90 kph, averaging 80 kph at end of the day, we get about 300-320 kms per charge. Usually topping up after 3-3.5 hr/250-275 kms.
  8. Air too unhealthy for students to exercise in, or be outside for long periods of time. What's wrong with that picture ... ðŸĪĢ " .. a city-wide shutdown may be imposed until safe conditions are restored" When's that ... next May ... ðŸĪĢ
  9. The same WH that doesn't want a cease fire now ... 😂 Why stop the killing, where's the fun in that 😎 "23 hours ago — The White House has refused to call for a cease-fire but has signaled that the Israelis should consider humanitarian pauses to allow civilians to receive aid and for foreign nationals trapped on the strip to leave Gaza" continue the war
  10. Too funny ... 😂 ... explains quite a bit 900+ Pages, Do you think any Dem actually read it:
  11. "“The 16th Long Boat Battle for the River King” will take place from 18-19 November at Khao Tao Reservoir." I'll be in Krung Thep ... oh well ... next time If interested, not exactly in town ... plan wisely: IF adventurist, there is a nearby RR station
  12. Dual track doesn't equal high speed. Compared to highs speed lines in other countries, TH will be like driving a car though a school zone. About as fast as their planning to completion has been. "In October 2010, the Thai Parliament approved initial proposals for a high-speed rail (HSR) network. Five lines capable of handling 250 km/h (155 mph) speeds would radiate from Bangkok" work in progress ðŸĪĢ
  13. Appears I was correct the first time ... it is a Chinese vehicle
  14. People not paying attention is a bit scary. As it appears driver wasn't, and only loss control after he realized he wasn't, and over compensated trying to avoid the MBs. Getting rear ended (not in a good way) is scary here, especially at traffic lights.
  15. ACA benefitted so few. Just another corporate scam the masses fell for ... ... hook line & sinker Simply raised the cost of health care for those that pay, with less coverage, larger deductible. IMHO
  16. I really should start getting stoned before reading the forum, it may be less painful
  17. Your ignorance shines ... 😂 ... higher cost - cheaper than Toyota Cross (made in TH) .... ins ... less than the ICE version, also 25% higher insured value ... resale, now has a higher insured value than a new one ðŸĪĢ ... lowest maintenance & operating cost of any ICEV ... expect 500k kms, trouble free from motor & battery bank ... thermal runaway .... that's funny & BS ... 3-4 hrs on Thai roads is all I want to drive at 1 time. ... have no desire to sell, why would I ? Trolling a 2 week old thread ðŸĪĢ Have a nice day, troll on bye bye
  18. I need to start selling bread ... 😂 😎 Cost me about āļŋ30 to make a loaf of white bread (870gr)
  19. Need ... NO ... but nice to know. Insecure is something I'm definitely not. Hard to say that about anyone that leaves the safety net of their home country. Planned wisely or not, which would be a different adjective. EU/UK ... no thanks. Czech Rep (Pilsner area) ? S. America, too much negative press, though I did speak Spanish. Anywhere else, and either ignorance of, or not weather friendly, including USA.
  20. Thanks ... ... reassuring to know, I chose wisely 😂
  21. 45 yrs living in USA, and really didn't experience much of what you wrote. People I know there, complain about inflation, but that's about it, going on with living, and quite enjoying themselves. TBH, I can see many of them, a couple maybe, moving to TH and being happy here. Too 3rd world and economically depressed (slum-ish). Like their comfy lives there. I just got bored with the place. 25 ish adult years was enough. Same here, almost, 23 yrs, but too lazy to move one. I'm flexible, and could live in either, I think.
