  1. Same here, and why I ignore MSM weather/climate doom & gloom.
  2. Produced by SIAC-Wuling motors, and has a LFP battery bank, considered one of, if not the safest battery chemistry for EVs. SAIC-MG motors safety record for EVs is excellent ... IMHO ... so no worries, IF I was buying. Bring the price down to 350k, and I might pick one up. For those iffy weather days when I can't use the scooter. Not the best specs though, and Neta V is a few baht more. Depends on one's needs, and fine tuning research of the alternatives. This might be insightful, to Wuling products: "GM’s Wuling MINI EV Ranks Well In J.D. Power 2023 EV Initial Quality Study" source Although, not sure I would want to take a hard crash in anything that small. But if knocking around my little town, that doesn't seem to be a problem, as haven't seen 1 accident yet, in 5 yrs living here. Unless on hwy #4, which is easily avoided, and have seen no accidents on the stretch bordering town. Amazingly so.
  3. Depends, a small or large investment (relative), small IMHO, with very quick ROI, depending on individual needs & use. Living comfort level of a nice cool house, 24/7 ... priceless. And at no cost once ROI realized. For us, 5-7 yrs should be ballpark, less if used more.
  4. Total fires ... 1 EV fires that didn't involve the battery bank of the EV ... 1 / ALL Is there enough bandwidth to start listing all the ICEV fires? Apparently ... IMHO ... it happens so often, it's not news worthy. This will amount to an empty & useless 'database' 9 months in to 2023, and NO FIRES attributed to the battery bank of an EV. THANKS for pointing out how safe they are ???? One less thing to concern yourself about when owning a BEV ... thank you CH. "Leaky Fuel System Usually cited as the most common cause for cars to start fire, leaks in the fuel system are dangerous. A car accident or poor maintenance can lead to a fuel leak, but a leak can also emerge spontaneously as a car ages." source
  5. And continue to happen. Just collateral damage for a non-eco friendly energy source. Profits are all that matter. Cleaning up (hiding spills) seems to be cheaper than operating with proper equipment that prevents oops. Petroleum product are needed, but profits are more important than ethics. Sad indeed.
  6. I like it, and wish they, all vendors would pass the fees to the user. Instead of raising their prices for everyone, to cover that overheard. All people do that use CC for purchases is raise the price of goods, and give the fees to banks for an unnecessary service.
  7. I've been riding scooters for 40+ yrs, and not knocking "them" at all. Just the idiots that ride without helmets. Which, TBH, I don't care one way or the other, if you wear one. Prefer not to be lopped in with you stupidity, just because so many farang (per capita) seem to go without. You want to risk your life, please, go right ahead ... ENJOY the afterlife. What I do mind, is if you commit suicide on my car, then I'm charged with vehicular death, when it could have been easily prevented by using simple common sense. Nobody should be charge is the dead person is helmetless. Som naam na
  8. As people get older, I wouldn't be surprised to hear they've stopped thinking for themselves all together.
  9. Damn, and I was just up that way yesterday. Almost drove past it on the way to a coffee shop ... but changed my mind. If only this was posted a couple day ago ... next time ???? "Build it, they will come" Just off hwy #4, and seems like a nice enough spot to sip you coffee and enjoy you pastry. And a 7-11, less than 2 kms away.
  10. I remember seeing that in the theater, back when released
  11. My observation is, most people get sun cancer on areas of the body, they put sunscreen on ... hmm "Two different carcinogens, benzene and benzophenone have been found in popular sunscreens. These cancer-causing compounds are not listed on labels." source
  12. Living together for over a decade, and they would move to TH, just for a piece of paper. That piece of paper doesn't give straight couples any benefits, worth uprooting your life for. If anything, it's a negative when you decide not to be together any more. If you don't get married, then there is no worries about an expensive, life changing divorce. They should count their blessings.
  13. Let's start with cis-ICE. ICE - Internal Combustion Engine ... they all are. Use a flammable fuel, this is ignited by a spark, in the engine, with way too many parts that can malfunction, and emits exhaust. What's not to understand. Only difference is some cost more to operate, maintain, and pollute more.
  14. Good reason, started selling only 14 yrs ago. Batteries for your calculator can be found on LAZ. "From 2008 to 2012, only 2,500 were produced and sold in 30 countries. Today, it's estimated that only about 1,500 Roadsters are still on the roads in the U.S" source
  15. Oh great, a news blip for every car fire now.
  16. Someone buried R2D2 in the sand ... ... damn kids ????
  17. Another scare you into buying sunscreen op-ed. "Most Merkel cell carcinomas appear on the face, head or neck, but they can develop anywhere on your body, even on areas not exposed to sunlight. Causes It's not clear what causes Merkel cell carcinoma. " paraphrased from
  18. I think he should go to the USA, seems a bunch of folks over there waiting for hand outs could use an inspirational talk. I see a lot of folks here/TH with the desire to work and or start businesses for themselves. Same with USA, but they never make the news. News has to be doom & gloom it seems.
  19. OK, so I finally read the OP I thought they were going to offer tourist or retirement discounts for the alphabet folks. Hey, I can say I'm a trans woman for 25% discount at the hotel or condo sale. So I'm living with a women, guess that makes me lesbian .... cool. I was wrong, news-blip is implying, A-folks must be more prone to HIV & STDs, as they should have better access to healthcare. ???? Healthcare here is already easily accessible, and one of the perks of living here. If I was part of the A society, I'd be pissed about the 'they're diseased' implication. W T F is up with that. Insult me, then tell me they are here for you ????
  20. .... nuff said Then PLEASE STOP replying to my post, if you don't believe anything I post. edit: never mind, issue sovled.
  21. Thais seem to be heathier than citizens of most other countries: source of that opinion, via 'Health Score'
  22. Why wait till you crap out ... how much fun would that be ...
  23. Didn't get pass the first sentence ... ... "which kind of treatment is to be preferred, a root canal treatment or an implant." Bit of a apples & oranges comparison.
  24. From a distance, preferable in a rented car, with full insurance/no deductible.
  25. Not even a little bit ... ... was curious about the battery chemistry, and apparent a moot subject, as apparently, not even involved. So 4 pages for a big nothing, as usual.
