  2. Yea, we're a wee bit abusive with the AC. One is basically on 24/7, the other, at least 8 hrs a day. As stated, we use 20-30kWh a day. Still leaves plenty for the EVs though.
  3. No, not during rainy season, as we use 7 or 8 kWh overnight, not being conservative. We've also had krap days, where it took all day to almost top up the ESSs, while using conservatively. We need 6kWh a day, even if we are not home. not a good production day Actually sized it just about right, though we did add a second ESS, just for longevity. Instead of taking it down to 35%, now only down to 60% at worse.
  4. Spot on. Our system will easily generate 50kWh a day, even on a partly cloudy day, and we only need 20-30kWh day. Leaving a hell of a lot of excess / free energy we don't need. He ignores the part of us buying a new ICEV at the same time. Which of course, nobody would buy if installing solar and planned on buying an EV, when their old car was running just fine. So fine & trustworthy, we gave it to our daughter. We've driven about 10k kms, locally on solar in 10 months. So 1000 kms a month, 360 per charge, 3 full charges per month = 138.9kWh/30 days = 4.63kWh a day. That's FREE energy in my world.
  5. 2 scenarios; ... now, retired, don't need extra money, so that would add 50k USD to the play budget, for the next 20 years, and highly unlikely I'd live that long. ... If 30 yrs younger, still working, then I'd buy 15 rental properties, Section 8 them (USA govt housing), net at least $750 a month, each X 15 = 11k+ a month income, then stick with original plan, visit all the Nat Parks in USA, and anywhere else, then after those 5 yrs, deciding where to live, with nice $135k a year income. And .... still have over 1 million in RE equity ????
  6. Repeating yourself in red doesn't make it true. Apparently you have some reading comprehensions issues. Have a nice day, BYE BYE
  7. Physical therapist (maybe does adjustments also), at Bangkok Hospital. Massaged away my carpel tunnel, never to return vs my brother (in USA) having surgery about the same time, for the same thing, and it returned ???? USA, what a joke. That was some time ago, she was mid 20s maybe, so now knocking on 40.
  8. That little tidbit surprised me, when I read it way back when, as having a thread discussing fresh vs milk powder.
  9. That's silly, as age is irrelevant. I've never cared or asked how old someone is when meeting, How old they feel or act that matters. If I acted my age, I'd never be in a relationship with people that I can laugh with.
  10. Surprising, as even our local Makro had DutchMill the other day. Obviously I got there on a day of so after they restocked as only three 2L left, but a huge empty area, so had the normal restock. Plenty of the other milk/dairy options. We're not exactly located mainstream or large, and an hour below Hua Hin, which also was well stocked a few days ago, at the Gourmet Market. I would think we're on the last stop southbound from Krung Thep warehouses, and Chumphon and Surat Thani have local distribution centers stocking them. Almost 200 kms below us.
  11. That would depend where you actually live at those location. They're far from small. All the silliness happens at the beaches. I live in a 'Thai' tourist area, get the weekenders and occasional tour buses. But I don't live where they are visiting. Had a friend with a house on Kamala for years, and he never went to the beaches where the tourist were. All is avoidable, without much effort. Most people don't venture further than their '15 minute' city anywhere, the majority of the week.
  12. Been here 23+ yrs, so had my fair share of GFs & wives. Also ignore more than my fair share of smile pointed my way. More than a few wouldn't mind or tried to latch on to me. Easy to find like minded lasses, no need to pay, well, I don't. Not being overweight & perched on a barstool has it's advantages.
  13. I wouldn't rely on those filters too much. Always call to verify, or have a Plan B-C-D available. We travel with dog, and so many 'pets allowed/not allowed listing are the opposite. Booking site state low price guarantee, and have rarely had one in the past 17+ yrs that was cheaper than the wife calling. This being low-mid priced accommodations <2000 baht, usually 700-1500 baht. Many listed on Agoda & Booking.com w/price guarantees. Best thing about Gmap is access to ph#, or link to a FB page for ph#. Verify info via photos of visitors, and streetview.
  14. Nyet Complete opposite of the one I met recently on Phuket, young, fit, w/brunette GF/wife. If he hadn't said from RU, I would have never guessed.
  15. Why would you even want an app for the forum, the mobile site is bad enough..
  16. Away from the barstool, and back to the experts Source: NOAA w/added notation by ME Some of you may need to Google the definition of; ... higher ... lower Take as much time as you need, don't hurt yourself. Is the trend since pre 1970 now going upward ... YES Has it leveled off ... apparently. Will it get worse or better, higher or lower ... nobody knows
  17. Is there any other ferry route in the world that has more oops than ferries getting to Samui? I might visit after the bridge is completed ... or not.
  18. No. A will would work, or POA easier, but sign 2, leaving one blank (but do reference car in blank one). Signing blue book might work.
  19. You can simply take the photo yourself and use the 'how to' instructions on the PP renewal site when submitting PP renewal. No need to go to a shop, and guessing you'll have a quicker turn around if you don't. 1 less step they don't have to do.
  20. Oh krap, now I have to actually read the OP ... along with crawling out from under that rock. Didn't watch the vid, as too smart to. Remember, IQ simply measures your potential ability to learn, and with all things, if you don't apply yourself, you'll remain as dumb as the rock I'm going back under.
  21. I'll use it for Inthanon coffee & treats. Actually accumulates points faster, every 20 baht spent. Half the 'soon to be' liter price. If not @ MG, we top up @ PEA Volta, BangChaks if more convenient than PEA offices, depending what's near by.
