What on earth is TM30 ?!
KhunLA replied to AndrewMciver's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
@AndrewMciver I'm thinking easiest would be, IF landlord is allowed to rent, is backdate a lease, then have landlord submit the TM30. Pay the fine (฿1000 or used to be), to give landlord motivation to. Really no bid deal for anyone involved, unless of course the landlord is renting illegally. Can't hurt to ask. Lease <3yrs and landlord doesn't have to worry about registering it with land office and being taxed in advance. -

That would have a few variables, as to cost. Come in all different sizes. Most are not chargers, just thicker cables to provide more kW output. MG supplies them installed for free. I see them on LAZ, different price and output, some variable, so can adjust if wanting. Most cars (MGs) will accept more than the cable provides (7.4kW), but would defeat the purpose of slow charging for battery health, along with requiring a possible upgrade to grid conx. Emergency/granny chargers/cables that come with MG are 2.3kW, which we use mostly, since using solar. Ours will accept up to 76kW, from the fast chargers when out and about, though most fast chargers/cables start around 50kW. Some will provide more, but useless for us, as won't accept more than 76kW, not that I would want the battery heating up any more. Mostly cost of electric will depend on your kms racked up, and how much you actually use. PEA/MEA has a sliding charge scale, more you use, higher the rate, though all of 1 baht, low vs high, so nothing really to be concerned about. If really racking up the kms, and use a lot of grid already, might be worth getting a TOU meter, to charge overnight/weekends at 'off peak' rate.

All about taste for me. That I pick some healthier options takes some thought. Add a couple sweet tooth fixes a week, pastry/ice cream. Take a multi vitamin for nutrient round up. Avoid excess intake of overly processed, and mostly home cooked from scratch. Reminds me, need to make bread, since we canned our O&A for a couple weeks. Damn dentist, and silly priced hotels.

Why would anyone bother with tuk tuk, when taxi is safer, cheaper, and more comfy. tourist ????

Not sure about that, as we keep the house buttoned up pretty good, to keep the humidity out. But ACs run almost constantly during the day, and one in bedroom almost 24/7. Do have air purifier built into it, though during 2 ish months of bad AQI, we need to run the stand alone purifiers.

Brics summit: Is a new bloc emerging to rival US leadership?

Y'all reading a lot into a song. It's neither left nor right wing. He's simply P'd at politicians who don't know how to run the country. Aside from his bigotry & lack of empathy, but rightfully so. Only the 'wing nuts' are making it divisive. Before the song, he was unknown for a reason ... he sucks, writing & singing. Though I can't play an instrument to save my life, so kudos for just being able to strum a tune.

Whale of a surprise: Rare humpback sighting stuns off Phuket’s coast
KhunLA replied to snoop1130's topic in Phuket News
Nice ... ... probably a Russian Humpback GW ... wouldn't that be the opposite, and they'd avoid the warmer waters. -
USA, especially the SE gets just as hot & humid as TH, so not sure why you think the calculation wouldn't apply to TH. Copy from a different thread, same topic: "We have a 13k in the bedroom, 23m², and could easily get by with 9k BTU unit. House good build material, insulated block & roof/ceiling. Actually gets damn chilly. We have the 13k, and a 24k BTU unit, which they condition 105m² daily, and do it quite well. Bedroom & main room, usually leave bedroom door open, though neither room needs supplementing from the other. Mitsubishi Inverter fan myself."

If you do, get a stainless steel one. If off LAX, don't get one with the electric heating element as an extra, it's crap, thought the Moka pot part is fine.

You want to make 'coffee' or 'espresso', as the latter will need a better machine. Richard's dialing in & extraction is exactly what you want for a good espresso. For that, you need a good a 'espresso' machine. After that extraction, you can make very good coffee.

No...if I want a left leaning opinion of something, I'll simply ask on AN ... source of that opinion follow the science ... or so I'm told

The speed bump/hump, possible pedestrian crossing may be at one of the spots along the road set aside for tourist, or at the restaurant along that road. Going 50 kph, pretty hard to miss, and may have even been posted lower approaching. Unless an unmarked hole, not sure how people can blame the road.

If you can't find food vendors at Krung Thep, you're not looking very hard. YMMV ... but I never have a problem.

Good luck finding pizza slices after 2am. Most pizza places don't even sell slices. Try 7-11 ... as stated, at that hour and degree of inebriation, who cares. Mentioned 'pala pizza', not exactly round the corner, but also not open at that hour
