You should do some more reading, expand you mind: Chile holds the world's largest lithium reserves and is the world's second-largest producer. Lithium is currently produced from hard rock or brine mines. Australia is the world's biggest supplier, with production from hard rock mines. Argentina, Chile and China mainly produce it from salt lakes.Apr 21, 2023"

Mr Anti EV ... not even worth viewing or commenting on. I'm sure the insurance company's bean counters are hard at work, but realize, in USA anyway, its 25 vs 1500+ / EV vs ICEV fires per 100k incidents. ...nuff said

Cheapest condos in Phayao or Chiang Rai
KhunLA replied to bignok's topic in Real Estate, Housing, House and Land Ownership
I would think, though do consider, possibly 6 months of the year, you might not want to be there, due to smog. I know I wouldn't. Are you just trying to get some kind of permanent place to live, with blue book vs renting ? Sadly not many condo options away from larger metros, or if so, very expensive, or my experience when pricing the few I've seen. Any of the property sites will give you ballpark price for condo in some areas. DD property, Thailand property for reference. Don't discount the condo builder sites themselves, as daughter picked one up in Krung Thep well below their marketed price before covid. Still a buyers market, unless in tourist area, where ignorant people pay silly prices. Those areas still have bargains, if not marketing to foreigners. -
Places in Thailand you havent been but want to

Just realized it's been over 1 yr since watching one of his vids. In that time, he hit all the surrounding countries, Laos, Cambo & Nam, and a lot more, and now in Switzerland ???? Nice life. -
That's about right. Our MG ZS EV MSRP was ฿1,189,000 - ฿240k incentive = ฿949,000 purchase price. With insured value of ฿960,000 if totaled. = ~19.3% depreciation driven off the lot ???? from MSRP, but a slight uptick from purchase price ???? Top model ZS with ฿246k incentive MG EP Plus with ฿247k incentive, a great value @ ฿771k These incentives, early on when approved by govt. Now most incentives passed on to the consumer are about ฿150k.

I'm going to agree with the 6 ish /10 rating, as it's a slow burn. First half of 'character building' crawls along. Action and twists pick up in latter half, and almost worth the wait. Overall good, but be patient.

Wouldn't call it subsidies, as some companies simply take advantage of the Thai import duties, for manufacturers that produce autos in TH, whole or part, with import incentives. Same worldwide, and why all Japanese auto makers have production facilities in the USA. Tax breaks & govt incentives to do so, to support that country's economy, whether TH, USA or elsewhere. Win win for both countries. Then you have the anti CH folks, USA for example, just gave incentives to USA companies, to only produce & use USA made components & batteries for their EV production. Basically penalizing the use of Chinese imports. Fine and dandy, their right to do so, but going to cost the consumer, with inferior products at a higher price. Big business wins again. And they vote to put these people in office ????
-
Only thing surprising about that news-blip, is ignorant people still believed CH makes inferior autos. VW certainly doesn't believe the BS, as SAIC alone (one of the Big Four in CH) jointly produces 19 models of VW already. Along with 3 Audis & 12 Skodas models @ 6 different facilities in CH. Shh .... don't tell anybody ????

I loved / love my crappy Chinese ICEV & EV. So much better than the even crappier USA & Japanese brands that I've owned way too many of. My Chinese vehicles both tech savvy and out performed the rest, all at a better price. How could I be so stupid to buy Chinese ???? I really miss going to the petrol station, every week and waiting to pay to drive my Chinese crap that I already paid for. Damn that MG ZS EV ... just taking the joy out of owning a car ????

I got caught in a lite drizzle at the park, with the dog yesterday. Didn't get the flu, and wasn't wearing a mask. Somehow, that didn't make the news.

Are you reliving your youth in Thailand?

Some had a typo and didn't proofread before posting on IMDB. I didn't want to change the 'and to as' then be called out for changing it.

Fitch downgrades US credit rating from AAA to AA+
KhunLA replied to Social Media's topic in World News
Keep giving money away, and you sooner or later ... you run out. Maybe all the citizens should pay their $50-60k dollars share of, what ever it is now, and free the country from debt. Could always sell all the National Parks to CH & RU, or maybe just Alaska. Wow ... USA debt free. Can you imagine. One administration later, and they'd be back in debt. -
Don't remember any outrage, and Ms would be a new word, I believe, not one already in use with a completely different meaning. I want to be referred to as 'everyone' now, as my preferred pronoun. Anything else and I'll/everyone will be offended. If you don't use, you'll be creating a hostile environment at work or school, you should be fired.

Beach beating: Thai transwomen assault foreigners in Pattaya
KhunLA replied to webfact's topic in Pattaya News
Here's the take away, as they fear no repercussions. File all the criminal complaints you want, but if not here to testify in court ... they walk free. "Additionally, many of the affected foreigners leave the country before any legal action can be taken" -
Title is a bit misleading, need to add 'Can'. Yes & no, if he bothers to go the legal route, and just guessing, he could file claim and ask Imm to intercede. Whether they would or not on a civil case is a bit unknown. Be a bit much, unless trying to get a sum worth the hassle, for landlord & Imm to bother. To claim damages more than 2 month rent seems quite high. What did you break ???? Hopefully lesson learned, if ever returning.

Yes ... I'm continually impressed with Gmaps. Simply is amazing. Listings of anything and everything, reviews, and streetview. It really is my 1 stop research tool. Cross reference with other apps/sites, but find it more and more redundant when doing, than really helpful. Even starting to catch and list most of the EV Charging Station, which it was way behind on.
