  1. It's scary, people really are that stupid. Goes way beyond being a wee bit ignorant. I'm the Slime - Frank Zappa, should be forced listening material for all. 50 yr old song, but timeless, more so than ever.
  2. Going to just have to agree to disagree. EVs are the way to go. Hydrogen isn't practical, IMHO, maybe replace diesel for heavy, long haul trucking, until something better comes along, but it comes with the same negatives of energy wasted to produce, store, transport, deliver and use as diesel, but cleaner. Better batteries and source of energy to charge, mainly solar, where possible, when allowed, is the only solution now. You need to download and watch the movie I linked. As long as fossil fuel controls the worlds energy supply, there isn't much hope for real change.
  3. CC ... ???? not the poaching and selling body parts and trophies. You really can't fix stupid.
  4. Why would anyone need a Thai CC, or any CC for that matter. I haven't had one for over 30 yrs. People paying monthly for unsecured credit is a banker's dream. If it doesn't appreciate, you should be paying cash. If you can't pay cash, you can't afford to buy it. Economics 101 ... you don't borrow money to buy crap that depreciates. Debit card fills the need for any CC, or has in the past 30+ years. CC is only good for emergencies, if you don't have an oops fund.
  5. World has been dependent on fossil fuel for 100 or so years. The industry controls that, and only now it's changing, very slightly and slowly. Lithium is not rare, and estimates are, we won't be running out anytime soon. More fossil fuel propaganda. But hey, what do I know, so I post links, ignored of course. I posted a link a couple times, about a vid explaining fossil fuels control, and been ignore, or criticize as tin foil hat material. People falling for the BS, hook line & sinker, when the info is available. Oh well. You're one of the more open minded, reasonable members, so give this a watch. Get pass the opening, as it's not about UFOs/ET, but energy control. It's available now, but, not until the oil runs out Hypocrisy - the practice of claiming to have moral standards or beliefs to which one's own behavior does
  6. Are you living in a comparable size house now with the extras; pool, etc. If so, simply go by your present bill and units used every month. That's what we did, along with taking our largest bills from previous house. Our inefficient rental was running 600-700kWh a month, and our much larger previous house topped up about 1200kWh month. So we sized a system that would handle that. Without the need for PEA/MEA. Connect to, but basically off Grid. New house, better build, materials & components (inverter ACs), and our usage, with abusive AC use, fits that range, 600-1000kWh a month, depending on time of year. That's with having EVs. Our Solar System
  7. Never been, unless a pub crawl. Was a big fan of New Deck Tavern, 38th & Samson. Best crab cakes in the tri-state area. Actually they stopped offering them, and I stopped going ???? Didn't do the Uni area much after that. Older anyway, and used to hit Downey's a lot, a Thai place (3rd & S, I think), and a Cajun place down a bit further on South St, Used to a lot of happy hours Wed/Thurs, most having 2/1 drinks & free food. Chart House & Moshulu were good also, the latter, just OK. The Bank was good for late nights, if in town after the witching hour. Couple places up in New Hope also. Really think Delaware Valley is one of the best in the country for food & sipping. Chadds Ford & Brandywine Creek area toward W. Chester had some great places also. Wow, that's a lot of memories.
  8. I see you have a few sleeping issues ... ????
  9. Reading the news gives my chuckles all day. That's some funny stuff.
  10. Found another also, Taima cannabis shop, but on S side of RR station, Gmap send you on a roundabout way, when the sat photo shows a walkway to S side. Though maybe new fencing has blocked that.
  11. I searched using 'dispensary' instead of 'Cannabis' ... ... oops Sweed
  12. It is from Nivea .. there's that of course. So nothing on the internet is true ... got it. So I'll copy and paste the below ... it's probably not true ???? " I've tried this and it doesn't work ... I've tried bi-carb and vinegar, I've tried Vanish , I've tried soaking, I've tried lime juice, I've tried scrubbing with every product .... I bought some small bottle stuff from the UK and it worked a little .... but the bottle only did 4-6 shirts. haha" You're probably correct, and probably not true.
  13. Hard to believe adults need to be told how to use deodorant or how to wash their clothes.
  14. Nah ... though #2 and myself are on FB, rarely talk, but since I only have 15 friends on FB ... nuff said, and we still can make each other laugh when we do chit chat.
  15. Hmm .. doesn't seem to be much. Not really an expat or tourist town, I think. Closest one on Gmaps: HACC No personal experience of HACC, probably more available.
  16. Or simply inventory management. No longer ordering as it didn't sell out before expiring. As many note, fresh milk isn't really a Thai thing, and not exactly inexpensive. Almost 1/3 day's pay for unskilled worker for 2L jug ???? An aside, along those lines, the expat forums in Udon Thani, and folks constantly complaining about lack of western products on the chain store shelves. Before Villa Market arrived. Apparently heard & accommodated, by TescoLotus & CarreFour. Big C never really fell for, even after buying CarreFour, and ditched the western stock. Within a year or so, they (Big C & T/L) removed most western products as simply didn't sell. No market for it. Simply good business. Let Villa Markets fill the niche and charge silly prices to cover expiring product trashed. Obviously enough willing to pay.
  17. Take the hint
  18. Life stories, aren't we bored. I'll play: Wife #1 ... first & last time she lied to me. A friend & myself emptied our apartment, and that was the end of that relationship. Young and no assets. Wife #2 ... mutual, almost. Till death do you part, seemed a bit long for me. I suggested divorce after 1 yr, and she didn't argue the point. Done, still kind of young, and no real equity in assets. Wife #3 (1st Thai wife) ... drank a bit too much, gambled too much, and yea, probably that also. MIA for the weekend, so door locked when she returned, I simply informed her, she doesn't live here any more. Done with that one, I kept & sold all assets. Had Usufruct & POA, about a year or so later, sold the land/house, without her involvement. Wife #4 ... 17+ yrs & going strong. She can bury me in the back yard, and keep it all, actually bought for her anyway. Anyone that can put up with me this long, deserves everything. Without her, we couldn't have invested and built our / her nice little nest egg, as I'm trying to spend all not reserved for her & kid. It comes in yearly, and we try to spend it ... failing miserably, I might add.
  19. You should have probably Googled that, before commenting. Have a nice day ... bye bye
  20. Being I posted the roll on I use, and if you look above my post, something similar, you might ... might be able to work that one out. Take your time. Hint ... most people would compare the price of a similar product.
  21. Yea ... about 100 yrs wasted not fixing an easy problem to see & fix. Oops, the cost of laziness & convenience while one's head is in the sand. Strange that it's only changing now, due to the household's economics. People finally waking up to, alternative fuels, are cheaper, and should /can be available, just have to ask/demand that they are made available.
  22. People & politicians may actually be waking up, and had enough of the fossil fuel control over energy production. They could use a moratorium on the influx of non Californians, as the water table has already been deleted beyond what is needed or replenish-able... IMHO Better late than never ... although I'm not one to wait for others. What's that saying .... 'Just Do It' Hypocrisy - the practice of claiming to have moral standards or beliefs to which one's own behavior does not conform; pretense.
  23. EXIT Ultra Blue about half the price of Nivea and works as good or better. Actually I wouldn't be surprised if they came out of the same production line. Deodorant should be applied in the evening, after shower/before sleep, in case you didn't know.
  24. Maybe ... or not. Born 1949 https://www.macrotrends.net/countries/THA/thailand/life-expectancy
  25. yep ... worldwide indeed. Reading the forum, and guessing most are here in TH, because they got screwed over in the west/homeland. That they didn't learn from those mistakes is a bit telling. BUT ... Blame it on Thai woman. Nothing is ever my fault either ... that's my story, and I'm stickin' to it.
