You can't fix stupid. Good for him, but I almost feel sorry for folks that were regular readers of his trash. Trink was interesting & informative at times, but stickman ... Holy Buddha, what trash. -
I'm feeling extremely poor, when I see these prices. £60k = ฿2,653,366, the cost of our MG + House ???? Or...extremely intelligent ????
-
Ours was ฿949 vs ฿2.5M, and even slower, I think 8.5 sec. I like the thought of getting paid every time I step on the accelerator, but arriving 5 seconds later ... ???? Especially considering how often I'm the lead vehicle from any intersection ????

Agree, that horse is dead, leave it alone. They're simply people, no different than anyone else, just picked a different profession. Relationships work or don't work, for numerous reasons, but rarely because of one partners job (past or present), unless it takes them away from home. I know some that didn't work, but most I suspect meeting in a bar, did work. I'm really not one to ask, "where did you meet".- 609 replies

Just when you thought the discussion couldn't get any sillier ... ... now solar panels catching on fire ???? That would be some really poor installation and not up to code obviously. DIY'er which didn't do their research. I was a Chimney Sweep, and had to report a few home owners to the Fire Dept to tag their fireplace or wood stoves for poor installation or lack of maintenance, once coated with creosote slag. Simply my responsibility to do so, and helps avoid law suits for not. Hard to believe how irresponsible people were with their family's lives. Some were damn scary and accidents waiting to happen. I'm sure the same happens with so many electrical installation, whether solar or other DIY projects. I little bit of knowledge can be extremely dangerous.

We're talking middle class obviously. Couples with incomes around 50k a month & up, or groups of youngins, all staying in same room on budget. Maybe on Mommy & Daddy's sip baht. Krung Thep weeekenders, surely few from villages afar. Cost of petrol and just camping, let alone hotel stays, would be burden on their budget.

Shall I Move to Permanently to Thailand?
KhunLA replied to FaltuMora's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Having a hard time believing the OP's concern about $3500 a month to live in TH, exceeding most expats income (or so I read), and wants a bit more, when already paying $5k a month for sex in the USA. With that type of income/expense, why not just find some friends w/benefits. Guessing a troll, or he is really fat, ugly, or lacks any personality, or simply extreme introvert. I can understand P4P on a holiday, as simply convenient, but on a daily life existence in your home country long term. I must be missing something or lived a different lifestyle than many. -

Who pays their wife or GF a salary, she's not an employee ... unless she is of course. Kind of changes the dynamics of the relationship, if you can even call it that. He, she, it is either your partner in a relationship ,,, or: ... hooker who cleans & cooks, hopefully ... maid who has sex with you Is she there for you, or a salary ? Nothing wrong with that, as long as it's established in the beginning. -
the 60X stat is claims paid for ICEV fires, and that is a per 100k stat (link posted a few times already). 150X more cars, simply would mean 150X those same 60X. If you are correct, that's a lot of ICEV fires. Scary stuff indeed. I'm still waiting for the news-blip of that 1 LFP battery powered EV that had a fire, and apparently, that hasn't flamed up yet. .... I'll wait.

My stats are from them, but pay out by insurance company. Real stats paid out. Consider those are old stats, and probably don't include any LFP fires, or which, I don't any have ever been report, and we're not talking on YT. Real news.

@HarrySeaman Makro has better selection of flour (bread) and yeast (500g packs) than the other vendors, in my experience. Depending on sugar content, if any (I don't use), then that will dictate which yeast to buy. If not Makro, google baking supply store near you, as I now buy our flour there, 10% less than Makro. I have to get my yeast on line, and nobody carries it now. I use fermipan red (low sugar) yeast. Package color distinguishes which sugar content to use with. Store your yeast in the freezer. My basic recipe is simply 4 ingredients: four ... 500g salt ... 10g yeast ... 10g water ... 350g

Just my dumb luck, the govt incentives were offered after MG moved to mostly LFP battery packs, Not that I was going to send more than 1M on 4 wheels anyway. The 200k extra, EV price over the ICE version of the MG ZS is worth the price just for performance upgrade. Never having to go a petrol station and buy petrol again, just icing on the cake. Don't think anyone has to worry about fires. I mean really, 25 per 100k. Nobody worries about ICEV fires, @ 60X the probability. Now fires are a concern ... I think not. Better fire training and fire blankets should limit any problems. Longevity would be the only thing with older chemistry, as the LFP seem to last forever, if even half the suggested longevity is accurate.. I've never put 500k kms on any vehicle I owned, let alone 900k, before the battery starts to noticeably degrade. I doubt if CS will be an issue here/TH, aside from weekends if not reserving, for about the next 5 ish years. And those with solar .... what's not to love.

Very few areas where signal is lost. Only the most rural, in which not a whole lot of roads to choose from to get lost.

You went with the sporty model, when you should have gotten that Fomm One ???? AND ... It does catch on fire ... go figure. 6yr old tech to top it off ????

Are you reliving your youth in Thailand?
KhunLA replied to bignok's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
My teens, 20s, 30s and 40s in USA were excellent. Actually a bit better than here, TH, when single. 2nd wife here. 17+yrs, has been excellent, as have the rest of the 40s, 50s & 60s here. No doubt, I've been blessed. Only came here for a change of scenery, and cost of living. Starting to get a bit bored over there. Been there, done that syndrome, nothing else interested me in USA. Along with not wanting to be any part of the new invade and occupy decades to come. Damn embarrassing. -

I never will, but I wasn't an irresponsible Ahole back then either. -
From driving through the water. You guys are getting silly, again. The gun didn't kill him, the bullet in it did. Both back on ignore list. Have a nice day.

Reading comprehension ... the engine in water. My car got driven into a lake ???? Unfortunately, it didn't stall out, as exhaust was out of the water, but most of engine in the water. It took all of the next day to get the muck out of the engine. As it was turning, it was spurting out the freeze plug hole. Constant flow of water in, till it came out clear. Actually ran for about year after ... surprisingly.
-
I speak from experience ????
-
And yet, ICEV are 60X more likely to catch fire than an EV. 25 vs 1500+ per 100k, link posted earlier. I wouldn't recommend driving your ICEV engine into water, as you'll blow out the freeze plug, and water will get inside. It's not pretty ... trust me. I wouldn't drive any vehicle through high water, did that here and had to replace the wheel bearings.
