I haven't seen a movie worth paying the 2000 matinee price of $5 (USA) of late. Can't imagine spring $15/20 buck for this krap. Sad, I even stopped going to Thai cinemas, all of 80-100 baht on Wednesday, days past, and had the place to ourselves almost. And only bothered for the big screen action, space movies. Even they were a let down, with few exceptions. Prequel/sequel/remake/CGI ... ???? Torrents just fill in down time.

Had 3 Mazuma products, all c r a p. Electrolux fan now. 8000w ... good for making coffee. Had that German brand at 1 house, 8000w, excellent, and yes, would brew tea at closest faucet. That one unit, served kitchen/2 baths, 2 at distance, and water came out nice & hot, if needed. Definitely nice when nearing 10C outside.

Lotus worse of the chains. Shop almost exclusively at Makro (only chain alternative). Unless up at Hua Hin, then we'll pop into Gourmet Markets @ Bluport. Always something on sale, or a nice steak at 'U Hunt/We Cook'. Fruits & veggies at local fresh market, about 50/50 w/Makro, since FM not having.

Window tinting is inexpensive, and will handle 90+ % of heat & UV, if rating accurate. Won't be too dark, as our tinted window at one house, was the whole wall (half full, and half half wall), and no problem looking out at the garden. This house had one 18k & 24k for a 96m² living area. Both houses, those areas included the kitchen.

TC salary Top Gun 1 / 2 mill Top Gun Maverick / 13 mill++++++ actually a pay cut from usual 25 mill+ per film BUT - takes a % of TGM, so estimated to earn 100m when done. Salaries & CGI costs really put movies into silly budget land. Get a few A-list actors, director, producer, w/ CGI cost, promo, and you're on your way to 100 mill budget before you even start shooting.

Our curtains at the 2 sunny glassed areas, E & W make noticeable difference in the temp, though very slight, since tinted glass block 95 ish % anyway. Curtains are more for the sun's glare, as we'll just keep the AC on, as needed for temp / humidity control. That's what the ACs are far, just as much, if not more for humidity along with temp control.

Guess I'll find out at the end of the year, scheduled delivery, Nov 19 ish, as end of 6 month window, hopefully before year's end, if delayed. Always have a back up (E-MB) if an oops along the way. Still haven't decided what to do with the ICE. Daughter will probably get, or we'll sell that & her Mazd2, and maybe pick up a new Celerio. She's 99% city driving, so too inexpensive to buy & operate, with easier parking.

OK, that's a bit more info, so not exactly a 'beach' holiday. Phuket Town is great, especially since the buses are running again. First 10ish times overnighting in BKK, I hated it, but didn't explore. When I did, now, considerate one of the best places to visit in Thailand, if not going for Andaman Sea 'beach' holiday. Or Surat Thani / Phang Nga area. Has all the good & bad, of a huge metro, with lots of gems, out of the slum tourist areas. Plenty of hostels to choose from, or inexpensive private rooms. Overall cost about the same, along with great bus system, aside from rush hour. Whole area is in gridlock anyway, BTS/MRT might be faster, if making the 1st trains, though I really do prefer the buses. Planning essential of course. Canal market, riverside is usually where we hang out during the day. Actually prefer the west side of the river; Khlong San & Bangkok Noi (Wang Lang) areas. Bang Rak or ChinaTown / Rattanakosin Island works well also.

I actually saw them 'wild', I think. Though checking a couple bird sites, they aren't suppose to be there, Udon Thani, in the wild anyway. Kind of surprised I saw them, along the roadside, and no houses nearby.
