I rarely, if ever do buffets, precooked food. Last hotel stay, I opted for the brekkie buffet, too cheap & easy not to. Of course, most of the hot & cold was at room temp, even though in heated or iced serving trays. Digging down deep didn't help much. One item tasted quite good, so waited to be refilled. Damn if it didn't come out of the kitchen less hot than what was already left over ... W T F

Reading the article, not restricted, just better regulated for adults, and probably equals more expensive. Many may not want to spend that much, hence why some 'companies' without docs, or better profit margin, if complying, decide to stop providing services. Supply, demand & profitability would be more of the issue, not restricted by law.

PrikPot is Taking Brick Weed To a New Level
KhunLA replied to webfact's topic in Thailand Cannabis Forum
I've made 4 purchases (not PrikPot), though kudos to them for finally offering some quality at us 'poor man's wallet' folks. Have to say, all 4 purchases were impressive. Only 1 from 'licensed' online seller, at ฿89+50 S&H, so not inexpensive, but wanted something (Thai Stick/Squirrel Tail) to compare to. It was a nice bud, well presented. Would guess equal quality (very good) to what PrikPot is offering at 1/3 the price, abet, more weight. 50gr would last me quite time, as an infrequent indulger. Other 3 purchases, from FB, as expected, less expensive, unlicensed, roll of the dice, but turned out to be very good also. All consistent quality. Thai Stick/Squirrel Tail, Green Crack, Red String. Again, very happy with the consistent quality of my purchases, and would expect PrikPot to be in line with those, with good customer service and pricing. A nice option to the more expensive pretty buds, at higher prices. -

Are solar panels an eco-disaster waiting to happen?
KhunLA replied to Social Media's topic in The Green Forum
The article contradicts itself, the headliner, mentioning panels being recyclable. Now and probably more so in the future. From another news-blip/op-ed: "Fortunately, 95 per cent of a solar panel can be recycled, whilst 80 per cent of crystalline silicon can be recovered via a refined process. A spokesperson for the Department of Climate Change, Energy, and Environment, and Water says the government is working with stakeholders to design a solar system waste scheme.' https://www.energymatters.com.au/renewable-news/australia-grapples-with-anticipated-solar-panel-waste/#:~:text=Fortunately%2C 95 per cent of,a solar system waste scheme It's only a problem if not recycled. For TH ... That appears to apply to everything. All the recyclables collected here, and small portion is actually recycled. Simply ends up burned, to the landfill, or worst, dumped at sea. Only 1, AFAIK, trash to energy plants here. That's just silly, poor governing, and worldwide. As with everything, almost, products aren't the problem ... ... people are. -
With all the problems, reported here about the UK & EVs, is this a case of the UK falling behind again. Maybe they can blame that on Brexit also: "Sweden Hits 62% Plugin EV Market Share In May, Tesla Model Y High" https://cleantechnica.com/2023/06/03/sweden-hits-62-plugin-ev-market-share-in-may-tesla-model-y-high/amp/ "Norwegian new vehicle emissions plunge as plug-in electrics hit stunning 91% market share" https://thedriven.io/2023/06/02/norwegian-new-vehicle-emissions-plunge-as-plug-in-electrics-hit-stunning-91-market-share/

Wasn't talking culture, though that's subjective. More just cost of living. Been to both, CM & UT, and same same, not much different, culture wise... ...IMHO As is the whole country actually. Very minor differences, unless deep south, and that's simply on a religious level.

Really depends on the actual comparisons. Numbeo puts MC just a tad more expensive than BKK. Never perfect comparison, but possible ball park enough: https://www.numbeo.com/cost-of-living/compare_cities.jsp?country1=Thailand&city1=Bangkok&country2=Mexico&city2=Mexico+City County living may be completely different. Same as metro areas here vs downtown, vs BKK, CM, Patts, Phuket, PKK, Nan Udon Thani and 15 kms out of downtown was drastically different. As is PKK municipality, and 5 kms away, where we live, and more different than Hua Hin.
-
That depends where you actually live, and would apply worldwide. TH is far from crime free, and your examples would get you into trouble here, just as easy as anywhere in the world,

Wind generator / windmill permit makes sense, since in the tornado belt. And 10+megs is enough to kill anyone, and then some, if an oops, So not recommended for the DIY crowd. Not that our simple home solar system wouldn't kill if touching the wrong thing at the wrong time. Our if the grid wires. Hopefully the regs make sense, and not more Nanny state, pushing the in state oil sales.

Nothing put together now in the UK for MG. Keep the HQ there, supposedly for 'designing' ???? Justifies the 'Brit Dynamics' thingy plate on the vehicles ???? If not for CH/SAIC, MG would be just another on the long list of failed automakers in the UK. Really turned the company around, and can't seem to make some models fast enough to keep up with demand ????

@sanook 1 On track record, the Extender is a rebadge Maxus 60/70, and been around for about 7 years, so plenty of time to work the kinks out. And the engine, drivetrain, if same as Maxus, has been around for about 20 years.

Spanish would be easy to pick up. I was even fluent reading/writing. But an actually conversation ... my brain has a hard time processing when coming at me that fast ???? When in Mexico, most went over my head, but got a rough idea what was being said or asked. So much easier than the tonal Thai.

Can't even marry your 1st cousin in almost half the states. Shame, my 'kissing cousin' was smoking hot for a preteen. Loved when she visited ???? and instant mutual attraction. Such a couple horn toads at such a young age. Memories, like it was yesterday ???? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cousin_marriage_law_in_the_United_States

Finally, a nice downpour, short, so far, but substantial. Everything watered, and solar panels washed off ???? Previously, not enough rain to connect the dots of the droplets, before they evaporated ...???? Expect a news-blip tomorrow, of Bang Saphan being flooded, as always seems to follow the first day or 2 of rain, until the ground softens up.

Reading comprehension goes a long way I stated nothing about safety around then. But hey, make sh!t up if it fits your spin.

That would be a top choice for me now, with hindsight. Especially for anyone with any health issues, anything elective, and you can just hop right back over and use your Medicare, if having. I would say the cost of living is very comparative, depending where living. Thumbs up for the food. Thai can be a bit boring after a while. Much larger country to explore, as TH is so small. Advantage with all the islands in the Caribbean. Settled, too old & lazy to move, but as stated, would be my top choice. Added plus of visiting the USA, to see all the things I didn't while living there. Mostly National Parks, and with the ol' folks discount/FREE, what's not to love.
