Electric scooter explodes and almost burns down rental room
KhunLA replied to snoop1130's topic in Pattaya News
Or a bunch of other causes, joining all the other ships at the bottom of the sea, that sunk because of fires , and NO EVs on board. Please stop the silliness, my ignore list is really getting long. I'm thinking one of the crew had covid, and that's why it sank ... which of course would be Trump's fault. Was the ship leaning right ... ???? -

Why did you marry? And maybe why did you do it again?
KhunLA replied to OneMoreFarang's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
Pretty much, plus being a bit of a toxic relationship to begin with. I can see how people stay together for the kids. Not even mine, and I loved them, and only reason it lasted as long as it did. -
Agree, those numbers are silly. Udon Thani for instance had about 500k back in 2015. The stat only includes 1 or 3 districts; Mak Khaeng (140k+) and parts of Nong Bua and Nong Khon Kwang

Why did you marry? And maybe why did you do it again?

Open = not leased out. All my furniture and most possessions still there. Some clothes & necessities at 'her' house. All practical purposes, I ate, slept and lived at her house. -
Why did you marry? And maybe why did you do it again?
KhunLA replied to OneMoreFarang's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
Far from empty, and other tenants/friends in same building (triplex), would easily verify my living there, without the need to be deceitful, if push ever came to shove. Just a margin of safety. Same as a usufruct & POA here for any investments. -
A city to me, would be self sustaining; hosp, trans, shopping If having to leave the 'city limits' for any, then simply a town/village. Appears to be more than a few definitions with different criteria. I would go with pop. @ 100k+, but powers to be ...

Why did you marry? And maybe why did you do it again?
KhunLA replied to OneMoreFarang's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
Never had a desire to live there. Only lived in PA, TN, WV, NJ, FL, MI, longest to shortest time in that order, 36, 5, 1, 1, 1, 0.5 yrs. PA no longer recognizes common law marriages, and TN never did. -

Why did you marry? And maybe why did you do it again?
KhunLA replied to OneMoreFarang's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
Yep ... why in the one live in relationship I had, she had 2 kids, I always kept one of my rental units open, and documented me living there, even though 99.9% of the time, I was in her house. Always made sure we had a documented break, every year or so. -
Agree, and also a Philly area boy. Philly actually a small-big city, 5-6 m metro area, I think. Bangkok is great, but yea, it's overkill, and also prefer smaller. Bigger metros here are 200-500k folks, with a good mix of everything; hosp, shopping, public trans, entertainment ? No real need for a car, if actually in the city. My problem is, all larger ones in TH, are subject to smog season. Hat Yai maybe being the exception, though unfamiliar with AQI there.

Inverter & panels in the ballpark. ESS/battery will be on the upper end of that -
Thailand’s PM says tourist numbers to triple in 2023
KhunLA replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Yea, looking back over 12 months, it's like 10 dropped right before disbursements ... hmm Guess it's good for currency option traders ... maybe I should start up again ???? -
Solar power, can it be done DIY?
KhunLA replied to Sophon's topic in Alternative/Renewable Energy Forum
Really depends on what components, brand, version of, and from where purchased being used. China ... cheaper, should be, maybe LAZ ... less than local, maybe Global (chain stores) ? From Installer ... probably a bit higher, but warranty better...maybe, if still around in 5+ yrs. Prices fluctuate greatly, with options; wifi, pure sine, microinverters on panels, programmability, UPS protection/built in vs add on -
Daihatsu ... 550cc (Mira), quite popular OP did state earlier 125 vs 500cc, so assume yes, it's a MB. As don't know many 125cc cars permitted on the road.

It will head back toward 37 at the end of the week, after USA SS is dispersed. Dropped 0.5 baht the other day, just in time. A monthly occurrence. -

COVID Rebounds after Some Patients Took Antivirals
KhunLA replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
I think they may be confusing return with re-infected. Unless they mean, people self medicating, aren't properly completing treatment regiments, and symptoms simple return since not cured in the first place. Those sick, asymptomatic simply are irresponsible and back walking amongst the vulnerable, who shouldn't be out among them anyway ???? -

Oh yea, Buddha forbid owners should actually operate the vehicles responsibly. Irresponsible people are and always have been the problem. -
Thailand’s PM says tourist numbers to triple in 2023

Triple isn't much of a stretch, since only about 2m have arrived so far. 6m for the year is definitely a stretch, and 3x that ... dream on. -
Kansas first state to vote on abortion since Roe’s demise
KhunLA replied to Scott's topic in World News
I think any candidate running on a total ban platform would be political suicide. What voters say & do are 2 different things. With all those 63 million abortions, I'd think a few were performed on the religious folks that aren't suppose to use contraceptive, or kill others. Hypocrisy rules ... Just a thought
