In that case, God has a screwed up sense of humor, giving people/kids, even born with cancer. That's where I can't believe. Aside from from everything else.
-
That depends on what else they believe. TBL said God made everything .. but what does the mean, after making, does God oversee & decide things. I asked, but think he missed or ignored it ????

@thaibeachlovers did you see or not this reply, or ignore ???? Curious what belief you have. God created everything .. but what else Not making things up, but most Christians leave out the bad.

Rough crowd ... ???? Do consider, you are on a Thai forum, possibly visited many times, and or live here. Even in Isan, as I did for 16 ish years. Visiting Phuket at least twice a year, 10 years running. That says a lot, besides 'I was stuck there".???? In Isan, and Phuket, for sanity break, before discoing lesser known areas. Ignorance is Bliss Sad they use photo of Krabi, but PP (2000) is a must see if going to Phuket. At least they didn't use JB island photo. That place is so krappy, we did a 'drive by' ???? Only negative for me, about Phuket, is the amount of tourist, which speaks just how popular it is. Off season was too crowded for us, so can't imagine high season. Wishing for another pandemic ... so I can enjoy the Andaman Sea again. Visited 3 or 4 times 2020/21, and it was pristine ... really was perfection. BUT ... THEY'RE BACK ... ???? Nay sayers, possibly never visited Phuket, or that one time, and Patong/Bangla rd, far from giving the island & surrounds a fair shake. From the list of 50, only been to a few. Thought Mexico City & surrounds was amazing, for my short visit. Tampa is a pretty cool city, and area, though surprised a top 50 ... which as stated, doesn't say much for rest of the world. Isan does have Khmer & archeological importance, but food ... unique is best description, as certain not delicious, closer to vile sometimes. Still plenty of critters, wild elephants & tigers, yet to be poached.

Actually, it's right on topic ... control. 15 minute city has nothing to do with global warming. If they really wanted to stop transport emissions, they could have developed solar & EVs decades ago. You need to watch 'who killed the electric car?' 25 yrs ago, they, GM had a waiting list for EVs they weren't even trying to market. They reversed the whole program, literally junked perfectly good cars, bought up & shelved the battery technology, and controlled the Govt committees that regulated it. It's eye opening. 15 minute cities simply don't fit into anyone's idea of freedom Choice of medical facilities, docs. Do you think the inner city slums will get any close to what uptown will get. Now they won't even have the option of going anywhere to get better anything, with 15 minute cities. If I had to rely on medical care, 15 minutes away, I would have died last year. 15 minute cites will benefit 1 segment of society, those that already have.

You actually believe what they say. History has proved that wrong. I don't need any data, as I wouldn't cower & comply to any of that silliness. First they want to tell you, you don't deserve to have 'that' much money, as nobody needs. Now they want to tell you, you don't need to go anywhere, we'll provide everything. They've done such a good job of all that already. They actually wanted me to work until 65 for a company pension & 66 for govt Social Security. My life expectancy for birth year 1954 is 67 yrs old.... hmm, let that sink in. Take as long as you need. You go ahead and follow their plan ...

I don't need a car, mb or bicycle. I could sit in my room all day & night. Is that would you suggest ? I must go to Hua Hin for Imm - 100 kms away I must go to Krung Thep, at least once a year, sometimes twice. And that not to see my daughter, who lives there. Or should we never see each other in person. Oh yea, 3 brother & families, scattered all over the USA. This year's outing, and I've needed to be near the house. Previous 3 years outings, so I don't think 15 minute cities fits my lifestyle. Do people with EVs & solar get an unlimited free range pass ? Left to right, 2022, 2021, 2020 Feel free to sit in your room if you want, or explore that 5 kms radius... ENJOY

Bedroom, easily 12 or more hrs. Main room, 10-12 hrs. Set between 25-28°, depending if I'm in & out. 26° or 27° is usually quite comfy, actually chilly at times. We leave the door open between bedroom & main room usually, unless wife cooking something. If we're out for the day, they're still on, main room at least, as dog is usually with any way. If not with us, then both on, and she has free range of house. Having a different perch in each room ???? Wife is usually chilly ???? Once at temp, they run amazingly efficient. At night if really humid, leave on 28-30° overnight while sleeping for dehumidifier, although on 'cool' setting not dehumidifier setting, instead of turning AC off & using fan. Floor fan has been enough lately.

Passport needed for travel around Thailand?
KhunLA replied to ChomDo's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Besides it being the law (it is), why would you not take it ? Where would you leave it, as can't be safer than on your person. Much better to have and not need vs the other. -
Uniform electricity rate to be charged for domestic and non-domestic users
KhunLA replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
So every suggested change, seems to get more and more expensive for grid users. That's a damn shame. _______ SOLAR ________ Fee to use the sun remains the same, all year, every year. UP2U -
So I'm reading it as, the people, who have all the money and things they wanted and have done as they please/travel, are telling the less fortunate, that they should only stay within a 5 kms radius of home, and be happy with that ... to save the planet. So let's think about that 15 minutes. NO NO NO, it's not driving, it Walking or Cycling, and how far is that ? 20 kph on cycle, so a 5 km radius. Remember when you were in High School, without a car ... that's how far you can go. For us now, that is actually enough for everything we need, as surf (non swimming beach), Makro & 7-11s are within that 5 kms. Imm is 100kms away, as is a decent hospital. Though I certainly wouldn't want to carry my shopping from 5 kms away, or have to go every other day for supplies. When we lived in Udon Thani, nothing was within 5 kms, and transport was a necessity. One of the silliest ideas, aside from covid restrictions, that were 'stay in the province', that people are actually already accepting. When they took the lid off the jar, the fleas not longer wanted to escape.... .... You can't fix stupid https://www.be-unbounded.com/blog-list/paradigms-are-you-a-flea-in-a-jar#:~:text=When fleas are placed in,the fleas never jump out. "The 15-minute city is an urban planning concept in which most daily necessities and services, such as work, shopping, education, healthcare, and leisure can be easily reached by a 15-minute walk or bike ride from any point in the city." - Wikipedia

Hindsight ... IF I wasn't bored with the USA, after 45 yrs, I probably would have stayed there. IF bored with Canada, then keep searching, but before any move, think real hard about leaving. Could live there when weather is good, then travel all points south to avoid winters. Been a very nice 23 yrs here in TH, but if had a do over, I think I would have stayed in USA, and simply traveled more in the Americas. All the nooks & crannies I didn't see would have kept me occupied. Now, not sure I'd chose TH as a permanent retirement location. The pollution, and increased number of tourist (2000/ ~8m - 2019/39+m), the past 23 yrs, had taken a lot of the good away. Most popular beaches, main reason for myself coming, are now crowded & polluted. Air is horrendous Hua Hin and above 6 months of the year.

Recycling is a joke, better simply to burn, hopefully clean, for energy, https://www.incubationnetwork.com/in-plain-sight-the-hidden-value-of-thailands-plastic-waste/#:~:text=Plastic waste is currently economic,of plastic in the ocean. Depending what source you read <5% (Greenpeace, big surprise) up to only 20% is recycled properly. We burn our trash, as prefer that over what the govt does with it: landfill or dump in sea. Next project:

Fastest Production Car Ever - and it runs on Gasoline

AND ... ... The pizza will still be cold by the time I get home ???? OR ... ... I can warm the pizza up, in the toaster oven or microwave plugged into my EV, at the beach, watching the sun set w/beer, Then turn in for the night, sleeping comfy in the car w/AC on if needed. -

It definitely won't be the voters.

Wasn't covid a peek into such silliness. First couple months people weren't suppose to leave your province. I couldn't do it and had to go Out & About. What idiot, brain dead, lifeless moron would subject themselves to incarceration with a 15 minute radius. Ankle bracelets and chips to follow. Maybe electronic money, with a perimeter fence build in.

Patong nightlife takes a hit after underage prostitution scandal

And yet, one made the news: "It’s understood two suspects were arrested at the bar on Bangla Road, where police discovered minors were being employed as sex workers." -

no kids to have sex with, so no customers ???? same as if McD ran out of burgers or StarCrap, out of coffee ... why bother going. -
"Villagers in Nakhon Phanom province flocked to close their suspected mule accounts" Or ... they're just Q'ing up, waiting for it to open on any given day. Especially pay days, beginning/end of or mid month.
