  1. I would think you lose every time you exchange any currency, so just once, and if UK like USA, the better rate is to be had in TH.
  2. 2 months old & registered vehicles. Be interesting if they put out a current list, and included ordered.
  3. I can only answer with what I learned or what I have experience with. Unlike some others. If not wanting me to answer questions ask to me, about my thoughts or experience, stop asking me.
  4. The tool will answer once again, though not the best lead in when asking advise. Mine's on order, so can't give you an 'experienced' answer. But researching the MG ZS, I'd expect 350 max around town & 300 +/-, hopefully (275 to daughter's house), on the highway, doing 90 kph. At the house / around town, I'd keep the battery between 40/80 %. Keeping it between 40/80%, obviously won't get 350 around town, but that is best for battery life. 1000 cycles (0-100%) as an extreme negative for battery life, 2000 cycles would be on the higher end, for battery life, I think. So 300-400 kms times 1000-2000 cycles. That's about 20 yrs driving for us, taking in the last 20 yrs of driving that we've put on cars. Our out & abouts won't be nearly as many, or as far. Been there, done that, at least 5 times already. Don't need another coffee cup from there. If knowing going out & about, top up just before to 100%. Try never to go below 20%. My ballpark thoughts on research, and listening to others that have the ZS. Along with basic lithium battery maintenance. I always work in negative #s when planning, so no surprises. And 300k kms in 20 yrs, would make me happy. 600k ... oh hell yea. If along the way, there's an oops in those numbers, that 50Kw battery can be back-up for the home solar system. Matter of fact, if the Solar system has an oops, the car can & will fill in, till it's sorted out. Has a V2L (vehicle to load) system build in. Others call it a V2H (vehicle to house) system. Basically, and extension cord from your car, to run whatever. Since having Solar at the house to charge the car, it all makes too much sense, owning an EV. MG seems to be the leader at the moment in Thailand, and we already have the ZS, and quite like it. Not expecting any surprises switching to EV version. All those thoughts and conclusions from my research are in reference to MG ZS & EP, as specs are close enough. Styling the only real difference. Other vehicles don't seem to match up to the specs or price of the MGs. IMHO Hope that helps, although, nothing I haven't stated already, 5-10 times on AN.
  5. Finally. Almost glad mine didn't make the list, didn't miss anything ???? As I said a few time, on mine once, usually twice a day. Where the Honda Wave sat, unless needing to fill the tires, or put gas in it, to ride once every 2 weeks to keep the battery charged. Sold it after a couple years of that. Was just a spare in case an oops with the car, which never happened.
  6. Social Security disbursements coming soon ... coincidence ... ????
  7. And you haven't been ? Plan on getting an abortion anytime soon in the USA, or not, and having a baby ? Please let me know how this ruling affected your well being.
  8. Oh well, sucks if you wanted one. Load up the car, drive to the next state. Anyone wanting surely can find a doc to perform, as there's 50 state, most still offer.
  9. Haven't a clue, but the SCOTUS sided with him...so there's that. Anything else, the hows and whys are irrelevant.
  10. Had nothing to do with that, as I haven't voted in a presidential election since 1980. So I didn't elect any of the idiots. Thankfully the one I voted for lost.
  11. Actually answered the 'what if' scenarios, you simply chose not to read or understand it. Repeat ... top up before going to Chang, has CSs, Samui has CSs, Samet doesn't matter, wouldn't go or take car there. Simply leave on mainland, no issue with that. Don't know why you think there would be. Not like the battery is going to die if sitting there a month. Repeat ... nowhere in TH is inaccessible (except Umphang, maybe) with an EV that has 300ish kms range. All your 'what ifs' and excuses not to have an EV are silly. If minor planning is too much, then I feel sorry for you, as nobody should be that stupid. Can travel around the world, but can't find a CS. Seriously going to put that out there. So please don't ask me again for stupid answers to stupid question. Come back with some relevant (especially to ME) issues or with actual meaning, because not 1 yet has any weight to it. Pertaining to TH ONLY, if directed at me. THANK YOU Don't care about EVs in USA, UK, EU, OZ, CH, or issue with the grid, price, CSs there. Or about vehicles that aren't available here, or silly 2+mill baht imports, few will ever buy. Battery swapping for cars is not a reality in our lifetime, or probably this century. Don't care about people who can't charge at home ... yes, don't buy. Don't care about people too impatient to charge up on the road or think driving for more than 4 hours on Thai roads is fun and won't take breaks. Yea, you shouldn't buy. If you don't own, or plan on buying ... does beg to ask ... why are you even commenting ? That's your right of course, as is mine to ignore your silly A$$.???? Actually enjoy the discussion, when it actually is.
  12. the ruling didn't change anything....Are you paying attention BYE BYE
  13. Glass was 95k & 5k for tinting / 2011, contracted to glass distributor. Roof was 300k, and contracted to builder's brother. All included in the 1.7 mill quote. Granite counter w/some western comforts in kitchen And ensuite bath ... no need to pay silly prices for quality build. 10-15-even 20k per m² ... any higher is just silly.
  14. You're paying way too much. Most expensive chicken I notice at Makro the other day was 84 baht (60-84) Actually took notice of some prices, since a posting last week of someone stating chicken was 167 and flour was 69 or abouts. Chicken ... not, and flour was 40 baht, from 33 over 5 yr period. Dairy hasn't changed, actually milk on sale 79, beef hasn't changed much, if at all, Pork up a bit, was silly priced for a while, nobody bought, so it came back down????, still a bit high. Eggs about the same. Beer, wine & spirits were the same (7-11 / Makro), still no Kopper???? Prices in the bakery dept, all about the same. Didn't peek at seafood. Most everything else, and nothing shocked me, and 10 ish % over last time, since I took notice. If that, and would think expected with high diesel cost. Don't know where y'all shop with some of these silly price being quoted, but y'all need to go elsewhere.
  15. See how that system works. So far, so good. Elected officials, selected and approved appointments, who did the right thing with their rulings, and now people are crying about 'their' voting choices. hmm ... go figure Next time they may want to pay attention and vote differently.
  16. I won't touch on vaccines .. as off topic. Everyone has a vote, to control who represents them. I find most don't even know who their rep is, has never written them, and vote for the best commercial ... Som nam na Everyone has a choice and can leave anytime they wish, if that town, county, state, country isn't tolerable anymore. I left the country, for those reasons, too PC, too Nanny, and they started invading sovereign countries, strictly for profit of corporations. ???? Deal with it ... Love it or Leave it. We all have choice, some just choose not to exercise them. Adapt, don't cry, it's degrading.
  17. NO, their actions will, not words written on a piece of paper. BIG DIFFERENCE
  18. Just pointing out the obvious. Choices vs consequences of ... it really isn't rocket science.
  19. Have they really ? Same reason there's protests in states that allow abortions. People have nothing better to do, but protest against things that don't concern them. Protests in the most lenient abortion law states .... go figure. I'm going to the American Embassy tomorrow to protest that damn SCOTUS ruling. Even though I'm a male & I'll never be in the USA again. Who's with me.... ????
  20. All could be avoided if people acted responsible and respected life.
  21. NEWS FLASH .... abortions are NOT banned, and nothing has changed.... ... yet ???? SCOTUS simply stated, it's not a Federal issue for the Constitution to regulate. Let the people who live in the area to decide for themselves. It's called FREEDOM ... write your state Congress person, instead of holding up a stupid sign or complaining about something on a forum, that doesn't concern you.
