  1. You really think 'this war' has anything to do with the price gouging ?
  2. Not sure why anyone would leave TH for USA, if having to pay $550 a month rent, besides the $25k $550 / ฿19k is enough to live on here.
  3. Yea ... had a sip ... once. That's just vile Back to Snowy, as Kopper no where to be found. Strangely, Makro was out of Snowy the other day. Got 1 in the frig, and 7-11 is short stroll away. Means fresh stock at Makro next, as they are rarely out.
  4. Now, if they are 'house' trainable to do their business outside or in the (open at all times) cage, or perch / sitting area.
  5. Leo is bad enough, now to water it down with ice ... BLASPHEMY ????
  6. How & so should be self explanatory. If not, I can't be bothered. Incentives, yes, as many don't have a spare 100-350k sitting around, to wait for a 5 or 10 ROI. Doesn't take anything from the poor and give to the rich, quite the opposite, and makes the poor non dependent on the rich. Frees up the grid, even feeds the grid for others, locations, complexes that can't self generate enough energy. That's a win win all around.
  7. It's a work in progress. Big Oil still has a stronghold in most countries. For Thailand, every single home should have some level of solar, and it's just silly not to. No incentive from gov't to install, and it's actually discouraged by PEA. 5kW inverters OK, approved by PEA, 8kW, not really, as that means you can be independent of PEA, since provides more than enough to run most household. 10kW, only for 3 phase, I think. Some PEA offices are strict, others lax. Some countries, the options are limited, others, no reason not to have. Price of installing solar in USA is outrageous compared to Thailand. Literally 3X as much for a basic hybrid system w/ ESS, $10k USD vs $30k & up, that's crazy.
  8. If you have to ask ... ... so sad ... ???? DISCLAIMER: possible hypocrisy, as I drank all 3 name brands, and then some. Embarrassed to say ... I was lost. Now it's Kopper, Snowy or Laos Dark.
  9. Got to be one of, if not the worst app ever. I've had to have it loaded 3 times on my phones. Total c r a p
  10. We buy both at Makro, real honey, and wide choice of oil. Best prices that I've found. Don't even look elsewhere any more, as waste of time. Makro & fresh markets ... can't go wrong. Don't know about your 'fake' assumptions, but easy to tell if your oil or honey is not the real deal.
  11. I could easily see myself living a nomadic life in the USA. Probably preferred instead of getting rooted again, as for the life of me, I can't think of one place I'd like to be for more than 30 days in the USA. Cruise the S during winter and the N during summer months. Always enjoyed camping so living out of a van, pick up or small RV would be easy.
  12. Some people notice, read & type faster than myself. I don't sit here with baited breath awaiting your next silly comment or question. Aren't how many cup holders you get so much more important on those cheap Chinese junk cars.???? Why would you even ask, as no interest in either EV or MG. Oh wait ... I know why ....
  13. you might want to stop asking about MGs then. you asked, I answered (tesla/mg batteries) how you expect GWM & MG not to come up in a 'thai motoring' forum, about EVs, is like having a scooter thread and expect Honda or Yamaha not to be mentioned.
  14. Don't have ATM on my Thai bank account. Something wrong with paying to access my own money, especially when I'm saving them money by having, along with them earning profits from that same money. I just pop in every couple months, when no Q and withdraw most of it.
  15. Simply means they are getting smarter with their choice, knowing ELECTED folks have to approve them. Might mean they didn't go with their 1st 2nd or 3rd choice, that might of leaned a bit too far left or right, and didn't and wouldn't make the cut. Nominating someone a bit more, mainstream & obviously acceptable. Simply getting nominated (or considered) doesn't get you a seat on the bench.
  16. Not smiling, that was laughing at you ... thought obvious, but simply means I'm not answering your stupid question any more. Better things to do, than answer yours or anyone's silliness any more on this threads. And why those, with actual experience and knowledge of and own EVs, or have a true interest in learning or sharing, avoid these threads. Me, stuck in the house & bored.
  17. Think you need a better circle of acquaintances, as I don't know anyone that is 'skint' Me and the wife, live beyond comfortable on about 30k a month. Picanha steaks last night for dinner. Lived on about the same budget when daughter lived with us. Can live on < 10k a month for housing & utilities (if renting) & less than <10k a month on food (300+ a day). Easily. Don't think anyone needs more than that. If on long term visa, that leave 20k or 45k a month for everything else. IF you can't live on that, well, anything I'd add would be offensive, so I'll leave it at that.
  18. 37 didn't make the cut to fill 115 seats ... ... you did imply almost ALL ... right ? You may want to consider researching before replying: "There have been 37 unsuccessful nominations to the Supreme Court of the United States." https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Unsuccessful_nominations_to_the_Supreme_Court_of_the_United_States#:~:text=There have been 37 unsuccessful,of a session of Congress. "How many Supreme Court justices served since 1789? 115 persons The number of justices on the Supreme Court was changed six times before settling at the present total of nine in 1869. A total of 115 persons have served on the Supreme Court since 1789" https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_justices_of_the_Supreme_Court_of_the_United_States_by_court_composition
  19. Batteries dead after 8 yrs ... YEA .. KEEP ON SPINING THAT ONE ???? "Another proof of leading battery technology comes from a Roewe E550, a plug-in hybrid from the sister brand of MG under SAIC Motor Group, and the first electrified model launched by SAIC Motor eight years ago. Recently, an existing model with over 575,000 kilometres was found. Engineers of SAIC Motor took it to the workshop and fully examined all drive components. In addition, the battery was sent to the battery laboratory of the Tsinghua University to measure the actual battery performance. The University proved that the battery, eight years and 575,000 kilometres after it left the factory, still offers 85% of its original capacity. 20. As a matter of fact ... "The power behind MG’s battery technology 08-12-2020 The MG ZS EV and MG EHS Plug-in Hybrid benefit from highly advanced battery technology with an impressive level of safety and durability. That’s because MG’s parent company – SAIC Motor – is one of the most experienced EV manufacturers in the world, which also partners with China’s largest lithium-ion battery manufacturer CATL." https://news.mgmotor.eu/the-power-behind-mg-battery-technology/ "CATL Chinese battery giant CATL (300750.SZ) is currently the sole supplier of LFP batteries to Tesla, which has been installing such batteries in cars manufactured in the Shanghai plant since 2020.Jun 7, 2565 BE" "Batteries are the heart of all EVs and one of Tesla’s key battery suppliers, CATL, has remained on top in the battery race." https://thedriven.io/2022/05/06/teslas-key-battery-supplier/ Tesla will also be using BYD's batteries in the future, according to a new-blip from BYD.
  21. If you have to ask yourself now, how to save money in your retirement years, I think it's a bit too late, and you've lost already. Has anything changed in the last 50-70 years, and the simple concept of prioritize and spend wisely. If you didn't learn that already, you may have some problems no matter where you live. Can't believe anyone needs to count satang, that's here on a marriage or retirement visa. 40 or 65k a month is more than enough for any 1 person or family to live on, comfortably.
  22. Robin Trower w/ Procol Harum is like Jimi Hendrix w/ Isley Brothers ???? So many great guitarist, really hard to pick top 10.
  23. President simply selects them, they are then approved, by the elected representatives of the voting public. In theory ... approved by voters. Many have not been approved and rejected by some representative. That you don't know that, begs to ask, why you commented with false info. " How are Supreme Court Justices selected? The President nominates someone for a vacancy on the Court and the Senate votes to confirm the nominee, which requires a simple majority. In this way, both the Executive and Legislative Branches of the federal government have a voice in the composition of the Supreme Court." https://www.supremecourt.gov/about/faq_general.aspx#:~:text=How are Supreme Court Justices, composition of the Supreme Court.
