As stated, plenty of trailers on the road, but unless you have a boat, jetskis or haul scooters/bicycles with you, why would anyone need one, unless having a business. Most needing to haul stuff, simply buy a pick up truck. A few places do trailers, as I peeked for myself, and trailer hitches, as stated, are widely available. Registration easy. Cars aren't built to haul as much as in the past, I think. As our MG was only rated for 500kg, I think, and that's classed as a SUV ???? Why do people comment when they have no knowledge or experience.

Woman's sports is pretty much dead. Anything involving strength & endurance, they simply can't compete against man. Biology is against them. Make sure you read the reviews, even though 4 & 5*, they point out some issues. Won't be able to register it, and always wear a helmet when on 2 wheels, motorized or not. Probably not a lithium battery, guessing 4/12v in series, and to be expected for the price, as a good battery cost more than 8k. I'd pop into a local shop and sample something similar, for hands on. If possible, rent one for the day, before springing 8k baht. If something you plan and using and keeping for a while, then may want to just up your game to a real E-MB. Well, everyone has google, and it doesn't take a rocket scientist to find the negatives, problems of any place. Seems the priority is cheap sex & alcohol, so smog isn't an issue for many. Seriously, a 2 week holiday of krap air isn't going to kill you. Ruin you photo opts, but that's about it. If you have respiratory issues already, would think your google priority would be AQI. You can't hold everyone's hand. We rarely get true travel queries, and if you peek at TA ... cheap food & hotels is the priority. As soon as the rains stop, and can be mid Oct. Full on by mid Nov till rains start, about mid May. Really depends where are, as to how early. In a rice, corn farming area, and it will be sooner. Where I am, coconuts & pineapples, and not till after Dec, full on smog, and a lot of that is blown down with the NE winds.

Not seeing much difference. If an ICE is hit hard enough to destroy the engine, or bend the frame, it's usually a total right off. As any one component is far from the only casualty. Same for EV, if damaged enough to require a whole battery bank replacement, it's probably going to be a total write off. Or if front end & motors totaled, and or frame bent, and battery pack in perfect condition, it's still going to be a total write off. At least the battery pack can be used for something else. Insurance for any item, car, house, appliance., repair vs write off value, which ever cheaper is what they'll spring for.

Yearly tax is pretty minor expense compared to petrol & tune ups. Even without solar, pretty inexpensive to charge up at home here, or even on the road ... for now. If you can save ฿500k over 8 yrs, buying your next car won't be so painful of the wallet.

They are, but even if bit by one, they're not much of a threat to a human. At the old house, I use to chase them up the tree/brush before letting the dog out. Over the years there, the resident family got quite comfy with me, and wouldn't scurry off if I was only sitting a couple meters away sipping my morning coffee. Loved sunning themselves on the waterfall.

If you're going to spend $16k for a new car, might as well make it one that cost next to nothing to operate. It killed me to spend that much for the Mazda 2, and Vios s before the EV here. Especially since better versions sold for less in the USA, and having higher overhead there to make or import. Only bought new here, because 2nd hand cars are so silly priced here. Then ฿700k & ฿949k for the ZSs (ICE & EV) ???? That's crazy, but O&A too much, and don't want to break down in the middle of nowhere. Why I traded up after 125k-150k kms on the previous cars. In the USA, not that I ever did, but breaking down in the middle of nowhere, unassisted, is actually hard to do. Always a dealer or service shop nearby the highways. Only bought 1 new vehicle in USA, and that was a dependable work truck, emphasis on 'dependable' since self employed. Most expensive 2nd vehicle I owned over there was $6k USD. And rarely spent more than $2k for transport. Just not something I cared about. Get me from point A to B. Some of the prices of cars here, >1 mill baht is crazy. It's a machine with 4 wheels. If not for O&As and visiting the daughter at Krung Thep, I'd simply put a side cart on the scooter ????

Along with how many actually live or at least visited since TH opened after covid or at least in 2019. With few exceptions, I ignore any replies and or advise from those not living here. I think they found all the oil already for the people's needs, for the next century or so. So they aren't really backing off, they simply don't need to. Some of my market trades were in oil exploration companies, and then the rights to drill (deep sea) were auctioned off to oil companies, who, 15 yrs later, have yet to tap or pump 1 barrel from the reserves. Just siting on the rights.

Agree, and when I think of all the places I've lived (states: TN, WV, PA, NJ, FL, MI), definitely no regrets. Only returned to the USA twice in 22 yrs since retiring, and for the minimal time I needed to take care of business, and couldn't wait to leave. Nothing per se wrong with where I was, just TH is better all around except for the air pollution, which I can deal with. I have the choice of either & choose TH.
