  1. Haven't seen or looked for here, but why would you want one ? Would think useful in USA, since having 2 voltages being used, and many 240v appliances don't have plugs, and are 'hot wired' in. I always preferred to add an outlet / plug set for those, for any future moving or need to work on them. Not really sure I'd want anything hot wired in here, aside from the ACs, which I actually wish I had an exposed breaker near the units, but wasn't here when installed. OK, the breakers aren't far away, since house is 1 story & small. Ditto for the hot water heaters, again, wasn't here & too lazy to do ????
  2. Public, private, irrelevant. If a business wants you to wear a mask to enter, you wear, or don't enter. Thankfully only Makro requires (locally) to enter, then once in, UP2U. 7-11s no longer requires, or haven't lately, and that's locally, Krung Thep & Udon Thani. No request to wear or even dagger eyes from staff. Think more envious since they have to wear. Nobody cares any more, or, my experiences of late.
  3. Does the car not have 'immobilizer', as I think most new ones I peeked at 2 yrs ago did.
  4. They're still putting out different versions of, but not in Thailand. Guessing not for long highway drive, so why not consider one of the 2 EVs, though a bit pricey for the specs, when for another 100k, a Neta V may be available soon; https://www.autofun.co.th/news/เทียบสเปคกันชัด-ๆ-pocco-mm-vs-wuling-mini-ev-เจ้าจิ๋วคันไหนครองใจคุณ-37641
  5. Seems to be a fashion accessory now for most; gold ring, necklace, bracelet, phone, amulet, sanitizer, mask .. ...OK I'm ready
  6. Seems to be an Anti-Tesla thread, as would think the other dozens of self driving vehicles have the same issue.
  7. At 70+ years of age, don't think ROI will be forthcoming in his lifetime, if just trying to knock a few 100 baht off his bill. If things that tight, can't see springing 100k for a solar system is in the budget. Was my first thought also, until reading age and actually concern of only a few 100 baht savings attempt. Seems to be living minimalistic already with his electric use. @ 1500 baht bills, he's only using about 12 units a day, which I can use that overnight, if not being conservative. He could almost get by on a 3kW system.
  8. Whoa ... bust out the hip waders. Them pics are scary. Been lucky, and had/built on high ground. Cruised by surf (Gulf) yesterday and it was 'full up', so if the rain shows up this week, Krung Thep is in for some flooding.
  9. OP does have a point, BUT, coming from the OP, it was simply baiting, as usual. Best ignored.
  10. Missed the eastern part ... ???? Knocking on Cambo border, as far east as I've been, except along the Mekong. Here's a strange one, although I forget which Laem Son Beach it was at. A concrete AC Carrier.
  11. As already stated, and I receive them also, such as last night. Starting to think it's G's way of reminding us to pay attention. I checked the list of sites provided they think need my attention, and most I don't visit anymore or if accessed wouldn't be a financial issue. Only my banking, one very secure site, has my actual info. All others use nothing tracing back to me or banking. Rare to use CC/debit or apps to pay for anything. Cash or COD. Wife uses one account and keeps minimal amount in it.
  12. I avoided such events after a certain hour, if attending at all. Just for that reason, as too often gangs and gun play were the norm later in the evening. Same with the yearly December's 2week festival.
  13. Self and wife haven't had, or knew we had. No vax, or much mask wearing, along with millions of others. Another marketing news-blip.
  14. As are every politician and most people.
  15. I have a few too many: https://www.flickr.com/photos/56481061@N02/ a couple favs:
  16. Being ex NYC officer, he should know aggravated assault on police isn't taken lightly. https://www.rendelmanlaw.com/2021/08/26/what-are-the-penalties-for-assaulting-a-police-officer/
  17. Whoa ... didn't see that coming. Holly krap ???? Apologies to any family & friends who may have read my earlier post. R I P
  18. Hot washing, try it, helps get rid of oils (body), along with, try wearing the shirt for 1 day, instead of 1 week at time. Just a thought ... ???? Toss it and buy new ones. T-shirts, seriously ... if you must keep them, try baking soda, cleans everything.
  19. Looking at the photo on the one news-blip, rescue folks are tending to the fallen, positioned, well behind the truck. No matter, the MB, was the striking vehicle from the rear or even if it was the side ... passing on small soi is illegal. MB riders were in the wrong ... period Just another Thai bashing thread, with people making excuses for their country fold's stupidity. R I P for one, live in hell for the other, causing your friend's death. Just another day / oops on Samui with tourist.
  20. Doesn't state whether empty or full bottles, cans, so they were probably saving the empties. You know, litter, 'save the planet' ... well done ????
  21. Motorbike crashes into back of truck @ 1 am ... nuff said
  22. Here's a snapshot of a headline:
  23. Here's food for thought. I see more CS available with shorter distances between, than PTT stations offering E85 ???? Seriously, it's a challenge sometimes. An EV for me, when out & about, will be so much better. Ok, I could easily put 91 in, but it runs better on E85 and the savings (minor now) doesn't hurt.
  24. Ebike batteries are notorious 'mislabelled' My 48v30Ah battery is 1/3 the size of my 48v10Ah battery, which goes 3X as far, at lease. And only cost 2X more. shy of 6k baht vs 3000 I was not surprise or really expected it to meet the posted specs. I was enough for my needs, as only need about 15-20kms a day,
