What Would You Do If You Had More Money
KhunLA replied to KIngsofisaan's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
Can only think about upgrading hotel stays when O&A, though not sure I'd even bother. Don't use or need the amenities, they would offer, and Ibis, has damn comfy beds & pools. No need to spend more, as we don't hang out at hotels when O&A. Actually have more than I need now, if that's Nirvana, then oh joy. we save 30-50k a month now, so don't need more. Spend 20-30k a month on living expense. Suspect even less now, though next year, back to 30k a month. Really don't know what I'd do with more money, except give to the kid. If millions of USD more via PowerBall win, then live the Hi-So nomadic, travel/living in high end hotels, till bored, probably take about 6 months, or not, and never stop traveling. Though seriously would end up giving most away. As long as we have more than enough, I'm happy. Nirvana it is. -
I seem to be the only person that used about the same amount of PEA units as the OP with our 1 AC'd small bedroom townhouse with about same m² of living area, and most, NOT AC'd. Now running 2 new inverter AC's, just a tad more space than OP's condo, and using about the same as OP, and a bit more most days, when both ACs going and the sun is out, most of the day. From the graph, you can see it's partly cloudy day, as not a solid arch, and lots of sun behind the cloud moments.

Really old. We rented a townhouse, not large, and only had 1 old AC in bedroom. Older house, no insulation, E&W wall exposure, neighbors not there or using AC, so their houses were hot inside. Our usage was about 550-700 PEA units. You're running 2 AC units (1 ancient), electric kitchen, so 750 units seems very realistic.

Do you ever think about the family that left you behind
KhunLA replied to steven100's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
NO I rarely think about the ones still living. -
6k actually sounds about right. Not hard to imagine you using 750 unit X 8 = 6000 PEA charge would be ฿4,097.31

We use Cafe Roma, arabica beans now, and past 10 ish years. Had Rock & Rosters at coffee shop last week, and think we'll give them a try. From the chains, I've only had Bon Cafe, and are fine beans. If you've been drink the worst instant available, anything would be an upgrade. Roasting is not the easiest task, so might want to give the green beans a pass. Have a coffee machine, French press, Moka pot and SS drip funnel thingy. The results are basically the same, with exception of we'll get crema from the machine, IF, using (I don't) the pressurized vs the naked portafilter. I actually use the drip funnel thingy of late, as easier for my large morning cuppa.

Great info ... thank you ????

Why not just give the MB to her with a legal name / registration change. As you'll probably never use or see it again anyway. Avoids any legal issues down the road. Drivers are responsible for accidents, but, TIT, if someone wants to scam you when found out a 'farang' owns it ... wouldn't be unheard of.

You actually expect any new threads or sub-forums not to be noisy/ruined by the same folks that troll the already established thread & sub-forums. That's funny ...

Considering Condo in Thailand
KhunLA replied to nexus99's topic in Real Estate, Housing, House and Land Ownership
If you have to ask those questions, then avoid investing in RE in Thailand. Invest in the USA, and use that income to live, rent, own in Thailand when the time comes. -

That's some funny A$$ Sh!t ... ... at least I learned a new word: Incel From Wikipedia: An incel (/ˈɪnsɛl/ IN-sel, an abbreviation of "involuntary celibate"????) is a member of an online subculture of people who define themselves as unable to get a romantic or sexual partner despite desiring one. Discussions in incel forums are often characterized by resentment and hatred, misogyny, misanthropy, self-pity and self-loathing, racism, a sense of entitlement to sex, and the endorsement of violence against women and sexually active people.[16] The American Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) described the subculture as "part of the online male supremacist ecosystem" that is included in their list of hate groups. Incels are mostly male and heterosexual, and are often white. ???? Estimates of the overall size of the subculture vary greatly, ranging from thousands to hundreds of thousands of individuals. -
Chinese electric car giant BYD plans to build a factory in Thailand
KhunLA replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
That vid has more than a few 'mistakes in it'. 12 year losing streak for a company that's only been around since 2015. No need to waste my time watching pass the first minute. Shut down during C-19, and filed bankruptcy in 2020. Seems C-19 related, not market related. Moving on from the BS ... ???? Anti-China YT channel, fits right in with some member here ... ???? -
Just leave a night light on ... helps avoid stumping one's toes also.

He' so bias, nothing he states can be taken seriously. Are EVs perfect, of course not. Better than their ICE counterparts, yes, in every way, as long as you don't need the range every day, or you have deep deep pockets for the 7-8-900-1000 km vehicles in the works. Only people bashing EVs are the most ignorant, OR ... people highly 'vested' in ICEs. That's a bit too obvious.

Electrolux Thailand
KhunLA replied to Rig Pig's topic in Real Estate, Housing, House and Land Ownership
I'm an Electrolux fan, and if close in price, or reasonably close, will buy. Lots of fakes out there, so only buy from 'Flagship' store on LAZ, or linked vendors on 'their' home site. You can usually get hands on at HomePro or Central, and an occasional sale. Especially HP online discounted, and an pick up locally, or have delivered. Strange marketing, but not complaining. So far, so good, all running after years of use. First purchase, a gas hob, was <deleted>, but also a fake. Actually turned me off from Electrolux 22 yrs ago, till I was schooled on fakes here. -

vs the non Chinese car with the Chinese chips that don't send your info to CCP ???? -
Always bearded (well trimmed), as I simply hated shaving with a blade for work, when required. Never a complaint vs some compliments. Now clean shaven (electric), so don't mind, since a beard adds 10 yrs to my handsomeness ????

Scratch the MG ZS (BEV) also, and I'm actually surprised it's called an SUV, 'crossover', at some links. Rating & labels get a bit silly at times. The Atto 3 has a bit more cargo space when seats are down, 1340 L vs 1100 L.
