Next Major Phase of Jomtien Beach Expansion will be in 2024
J Branche replied to webfact's topic in Pattaya News
I was thinking something similar. I always see people enjoying the beach under the shade of the trees. Unless they plant some shade trees I guess the only benefits are it would look good for tourism photos and would offer some protection to the existing infrastructure being damaged if there is a big storm. -
I think you will be happy with the Daikin. I bought the Mitsubishi because the price for Daikin was higher and the one I desired was marginally less efficient. Understand that the quietest fan speed may not provide enough air for your needs.

I wanted a quiet AC also. After spending a lot of time researching and going to different shops ended up buying the Mitsubishi GT series. For the price, efficiency, quiet, looks, parts availability and many techs being familiar with repairing Mitsubishi I believe I made the correct choice. This series does Not have the ability to control it via a phone app, or the motion sensor. Many people have different ideas of quiet. The new AC is so quiet that I can now hear many new noises I never heard before. I would Not trust the advice of anyone in the store. They have only basic knowledge of specs, and will probably sell you the brand paying the most commission that month.

Had a Mitsubishi installed a couple of months ago and it kept leaking refrigerant. Guy came back two additional times and didn't fix it. Made them send a new guy who was true professional and had everything fixed in a few minutes. He even waited the 30 minutes to make sure the pressure didn't drop. -

Thai Prime Minister pledges to tackle fisheries industry woes
J Branche replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
I've seen many documentaries on the issue and unfortunately our neighbor encourages fishing within many foreign territories. Turning off AIS systems to disappear, using nets which collect everything, and routinely entering foreign.territorial waters that have minimal patrol boats. We can only hope that fish farming expands greatly so maybe some fishing will be sustainable and lucrative. -

Looks a little more advanced then the drug smuggling submersibles found around the US. Most of those are fiberglass. -
No time to read 4 pages of contributions. Many security guards around dogs and monkeys also use a sling shot. Hit near them and they understand. Lastly cook some chopped chicken and you will have friends for life

Elderly man caught stealing from Nonthaburi temple sparks online debate
J Branche replied to webfact's topic in Bangkok News
Poverty is real. Girlfriends parents have rice, oil, egg, and on occasion chicken or fish. Only Water to drink. The family all gives to buy 1 bottle of Whiskey on weekends. I am still learning but it appears that some temples have excessive contributions. I have always wondered what the temples contribute to the local people. -
Have wished if you could go back ?
J Branche replied to The Theory's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
My advice, keep your focus on what is important family, friends, health, success, giving back and helping children and others. In Thailand you can make a noticeable difference helping your girlfriend's school age children with better math, English, critical thinking skills. If you can teach the children the skills to be successful and the benefits and changes it can bring to their future and their families futures. -
Quality dental work of quality US or foreign standards like others have mentioned is not cheap. The prices are listed on the Dental Websites. Unfortunately I had a lot of dental visits in the past. Look for how well the Dentist communicates, get an Xray, is it a quality picture? What type of clients are in the lobby, foreigners, do they look like they have money to go anywhere but choose this Dentist. How many days do you need to wait for an appointment may be indicator. Depends on location and if low or high season. Do Not be afraid to go somewhere else and get a 2nd opinion. Last crown I had the Dentist was not happy with what the lab made, had another made Zero cost to me and it has been 4 months and feels like natural tooth.

Justice Ministry Accused Of Granting Undue Privileges To Thaksin
J Branche replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Stay focused politicians. You have the ability to make real change, with long term benefits to the people who live in Thailand. Focus on, raising education standards, partially funding education, improving Healthcare, attracting businesses who offer higher paying jobs for the skilled, educated workers. Reducing corruption, improving all government processes (efficiency, online submittal, online information availability, ease of locating info) Addressing Mass Bus Transportation information availability. There is No centrally maintained, updated online platform that lists routes, departure times, costs, purchasing, and contact information for Big Interprovincial busses. These are a few key issues that are obtainable with some effort. -
I was bullied in middle school. Luckily, cool kid moved in next to me and became friends. Bully stopped after couple weeks because the cool kid influence. I was not cool, but not uncool so they tolerated me hanging around. I was an okay Comedian also. Back to the cause, others have mentioned the bullies home life may be cause, psychological disorder, they are bullying to highlight someone else's weakness and for the bully to feel better about their own problems. Everyone should recognize each of us have different tolerance levels before we react. It is the accumulation of constant bullying over a shorter period of time that usually triggers a response. I believe that some basic form of behavioral psychology should be taught in schools. Just basic, how our mind works, natural biases, distorted perspectives, trigger responses, people are a product of their environment (home, school, city they live in) and will mimic others actions. Lastly, everyone should know or find someone who can Help. Who are not judgmental, can keep matter private, and focus on addressing and correcting the issue without all the drama and theatrics. I'm proud of some of the contributions in this post addressing the causes and offering solutions.

Pattaya Man Stabs His Friend who Insulted His Girlfriend
J Branche replied to webfact's topic in Pattaya News
Who needs to stab? I hear Will Smith is looking for work. The slap heard around the world. All jokes aside, Always be careful talking poorly about someone, there friends, or family. Better to use tact and encouraging words to help someone then to knock them down to make yourself feel better about your own deficiencies -
You are asking the Wrong questions. What ROI minimum do you require? Location - Who are my potential customers? What is there income? Will you buy the building or rent? Are my potential customers tourist, short visit, long stay, residents in area. Due Diligence on financials. If they do not have books you now get bigger discount, the business value is substantially less. How old is the equipment, are parts available, expensive. How long do you have to wait for machine to be repaired. How many machines will you need to repair/replace/upgrade in the next two years. How long until you make a profit/break even.

Big Bus is generally safer, more comfortable (can sleep), less weaving through traffic, good value. Taxi, most expensive (may ask for toll fee), most cars suspension are firm, bumpy ride, less sleep, more weaving, probably fastest to destination, room for suitcase. Minibus, limited luggage room, cramped, weaving a lot, jerky ride, multiple stops before destination. Good Value, slightly quicker then Big Bus, Must experience Once, heck of an adventure.
