  1. The site offers some good help value forums and threads with some weedy posts, the rest shouldn’t be taken too seriously or personally and approached with entertainment value without emotion, of which is entertaining in of itself, in other words don’t let what others post be a bother because it might incite social dysfunctionality.
  2. Hey hey now guys, calm down
  3. Yes I know and I got it, I reciprocated with humor😀 lighten up dear friend. Again, thanks for the compliment but if you think I look 45 then you should have your eyes checked 😃😃
  4. Thanks, but you have serious vision issues. Perhaps coke bottle eyewear will help 😀
  5. They say I look 10-15 years younger, I say they need eye glasses. Friendly to everyone and strangers. Exercise regularly stay socially and physically active and eat well every meal. Positive thoughts and outlook and not getting wound up over petty things like traffic, others perspectives and issues that I can’t control.
  6. The main door opens at 8:00am. The service windows open at 8:30. You can put the envelope with the documents in the basket at the window at 8:00am. They start calling names at 8:30. First come first serve.
  7. The statement from the bank office is the I would use, I never compared the two. From my recollection, the printout at the bank is different. Also the banker puts some markings on the statement, mine does anyway.
  8. I just renewed my 5 year a few weeks ago at the hangdong DLT in cm. I completed the video on the DLTQRlicense app and kept the screenshot of the QR code. They didn’t ask for it when I went in, just the red-yellow-green light test. There were a couple of expats renewing their 5 year as well, same thing, just the traffic light test.
  9. Hey hey now…this thread is about the wonders of oranges 🍊
  10. Not trying to send you on a wild goose chase, though a faulty alternator could be the culprit. Run the engine and turn on the headlights and have someone rev the engine while you’re looking at the headlights. If the headlights brighten when the engine revs up then the alternator is the problem. If you have a voltage meter, check the battery voltage with engine off, voltage should be ~12 volts. Then check again with engine running. The voltage should increase to ~14 volts with engine running.
  11. You should be able to find Teflon spray at a motorcycle shop such as Chang Moto or Shanghai Panich parts shop or homepro might have some. While on the subject, wondering if anyone knows if LPS lubricant products are available in CM?
  12. Yes, you need two copies of everything. Don’t worry about the stamp on the photo, they’ll have the original along with it. Yes you can do both at the same time. Never mind with the appointment. Arrive there early just before 8:00am when the doors open. Go up to the 2nd floor to the foreigners window, can’t remember if it’s window 26 or 27 or? but it has a foreigners sign. Put your papers in order for each license, including your license’s and passport. Put the paperwork in a clear envelope along with your passport in one of the clear 8”x11” envelopes that is available there. Put the envelope containing your paperwork in the basket at the foreigner’s window and wait for them to call your name after 8:30 when the window opens.
  13. I have a few friends in Padaet CR that did not get the vaccine, not a single one caught Covid, yet many in the area that did get the vaccine caught covid, nearly everyone I know who got the vaccine caught Covid in one form or another. Leads me to believe the vaccine compromises the immune system.
  14. It may be the a/c compressor causing the vibration, check the belt. Possibly corrosion in the clutch pulley, spray teflon lubricant on the clutch pulley.
  15. Like it or not @bob smith offers a unique flair of entertainment here and I’m sure the Thai folks find entertainment value as well 😃
  16. Would expect nothing less from an antisocial individual
  17. Generally most of the complaints I hear and read from Thais are about rude and insulting people
  18. Tough? No. Challenging, absolutely yes. The kind of challenge that one lives for. Though retired, still have a level of interaction, input and involvement in my profession.
  19. Chinese kitchen off Mahidol Padaet area. Don’t know if it’s still open, haven’t been there in a few years but it’s pretty good food.
  20. My home is where I was born and raised on an island in the mid pacific where my remaining family lives, though I haven’t lived there for nearly 50 years. The rest has felt somewhat nomadic, even when living in the same city on the continental US for decades. I consider living in northern Thailand de-facto home for now and probably die here, though my true home is where my first memories reside.
