Would appear Global Warming has reached Spain as well.

Oppo phones are made by the semi state owned Guangdong Oppo Mobile Telecommunications Corp. Ltd, and as such their firmware is more "branded" than say, South Korea's Samsung. I would imagine your finding of no "UK" Region is intentional. As background there are a number of International copyright infringement cases going through the courts against Oppo. IMO, touching and barge poles spring to mind.

45 years ago, Pontiac 8.2 ltr 600bhp 0-100 in 6 secs !
RayWright replied to Social Media's topic in Thailand Motor Discussion
Would appear only 1 was originally made, but a second was under construction when the company went bust in 1980. The original working car was re-sprayed a couple of times to give the impression there was more than one. Both cars still exist, one in Saudi the other owned by a British collector. Or about £240,000 in today's money. -

Perhaps rather than teaching English with English Teachers, Thai kids should be made to watch all 236 episodes (88 hours) of Friends. Apparently, you only need to understand 750 different words to comprehend 90% of all the episodes, or 4150 to cover 98% of the Friends vocabulary. See link for more details. http://herbsusmann.com/2020/08/04/friends/

Lotus and Big C in South Pattaya normally stock it. Key part of the Saturday morning "Pick-me-up along with the stick of celery and a "Keith Floyd size" splash of Kulov.

Would recommend having a UK Skype number and if you can a UK mobile number. Pay £2:40 a month for 100 minutes of UK landlines, 0345 and UK mobiles. With increasing number of UK companies adopting 2FA (2 Factor Authentication) when accessing their services / websites, a UK mobile number for SMS messages maintains the impression of a UK presence. I use an EE PAYG setup and pay £5:00 every 3 months to ensure the number stays alive. Surposed to pay monthly, but as I'm not using the phone to make calls or send SMS messages; just ignore the reminder and Roaming messages they send me. No issues so far.

Are you using WiFi Calling on your Thai mobile? If so, suggest turn it off and try again. Had a somewhat similar issue last year, and down to issues/compatability/setup of the various Internet platforms the call is taking from the Internet based phone system and your mobile phone. My problem at the time was a compatability issue between Samsung S9 running V10 and July 2021 firmware and local EE Heathrow Cell linking via EE network via TeleHouse East whilst calling the Hilton in Bangkok (IP phone system). Changed to earlier Samsung S6 on V7 no issue, same Samsung S9 in Victoria the next day; no issue. Tried again back at Heathrow later that same day; same hangup on answer issue. Had the techies at EE and Samsung UK scratching their heads for days. Would appear issue was down to the local EE cell and their routing of the call, but could have been anything in-between.

Fifa Threatens To Cut Off Live World Cup Broadcast Over Infringement
RayWright replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
FIFA just spoilt brats. Over the years, I've watched Singapore TV in Jahor and vice-versa, English TV in Holland, Spanish TV in Gibralta, and recently with a high pressure in the English Channel; German and French TV in Southwest England (Watched an amusing episode of .'Allo 'Allo! a couple of years ago from France). Cross Country propergation of TV signals has been happening since the 1950's. Similarly with Ham Radio frequencies, have spoken to Aussies, Americans (North & South) from London regularly. As many have said, it's all about the money. -
anyone using faster then 1 gigabyte internet ?

On second thoughts. Thrust SSC 1228 kph. I don't think you'll get far, with 2 x Rolls Royce TurboFan Spey engines, you'll end up with more mopeds sucked into the engines than actually passing them! -

Does anyone even care about the World Cup this year?
RayWright replied to bob smith's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
The proper World Cup starts Friday 8th September at 21:00 (local time) in The Stade de France. With hosts playing New Zealand. Beer and Le Hot-Dogs will be on sale without any problems. Allez Les Bleus. -
Which is healthier, Beer or a Cola? Beer any day, it has no fat or sugar (sugars turned into alcohol during fermentation), has fewer calories and less carbohydrates (admittedly a Beer is the same as a couple of slices of bread), plus Beer has more minerals. However Beer has no vitamin C, which if you remember from your early history lessons was why sailors got scurvy. Except the Brits, who were nick-named Limey's by our Amercian cousins. Conclusion, have a Lemoncello with every glass!

When working the night shift, just off Finsbury Sq., if we finished early, then use to go upto Smithfield market for a Traders full English breakfast and a couple of pints at 06:00 in the morning.

You're legally correct. Yes, can watch BBC and ITV live. Also able to use my UK Amazon Prime account, so watched Eddie's boys stuff the Cherry Blossoms. Looking forward to next weekends clash with the All Black's.

I've found reliability issues using VPN's (Vypr, ExpressVPN & NordVPN) when accessing iPlayer, ITVHub, More4 and My5, as well as UKTV Play and ABC Australia, due to their increased monitoring of VPN providers and growing barring IP address lists. So, I've installed a PC at a techie friend's house and use TeamViewer to connect securely end to end, so no bandwidth reduction going via a VPN service provider. Once connected I'm in territory so no troubling accessing the UK TV providers. Also use ChrisPC Videotube Downloader Pro to download any programmes I might want to watch at a later date. Use Teamviewer to file transfer, or upload to Google drive and then can watch on my mobile. Simples.
