  1. Similar to what I said to the lady selling the nudge bar: "I don't want an expensive one that is worth more than the pickup!" ????
  2. I just had the meeting (Microsoft Teams, not Skype) and will get 20k sent to my Nationwide account. Then the fun starts with me Googling "how to send money using Wise", which I've done only once years ago.
  3. "Probably explains why I only see them on high end vehicles ... ????" - yes, like on my 18 year old Toyota Tiger that cost 605,000 baht new. ???? I went to the Chai Autosound place in your link, on the 4024 in Ratsada. They spent about 45 minutes moving loads of old bull bars, nudge bars, roof racks, etc, that they had stored at the very back. The woman staff person was sure they had one like my old one and when they eventually found it, it didn't fit! It was too wide. So she ordered one for me. 6,000 baht.
  4. Anyone got a link to a price list for Carry boy parts? They seem very shy to publicise them. ????
  5. Thanks for the link! ???? I copied the lat/long coordinates ( 7.921087,98.3708685 ) and put them in Google Maps to see the place. I'll pay them a visit some time this week.
  6. Thanks for the link. I also have both SCB and Kasikorn accounts, so I will choose one of them.
  7. My old one got mangled recently and I'd like to get another identical one fitted:
  8. Well, I hope so. I have a Skype meeting with my financial adviser on Tuesday and I hope to get some tax-free cash from my investments transferred to my UK Nationwide account. Then I will attempt to transfer an equal amount using both SWIFT and Wise from Nationwide to my Krung Thai account, hopefully recording all the steps in the process, the time taken and the amount that gets transferred.
  9. SWIFT is about 20 pounds, if I recall correctly. I used WISE once, several months ago, but prefer to use SWIFT (mostly because I'm used to it). I transfer every 3 or 4 months so the 20 pounds charge doesn't feel so bad.
  10. I've been thinking about getting a Will written in Thai and English. A friend has used ibcadvisory.com . They are not cheap. This is from their Will and Testament page: Under the Thai Succession Law, when a person dies in Thailand their estate is passed onto their heirs either by their Last Will & Testament or if they don’t have one then by Statutory Right which is in accordance with the Civil & Commercial Code of Thailand (Book VI: Title II Statutory Right of Inheritance sections 1620-1645). Under section 1629 of the Civil and Commercial Code of Thailand there are 6 classes of statutory heirs and they are entitled to inherit in the following order: 1. descendants 2. parents 3. brothers and sisters of full blood 4. brothers and sisters of half-blood 5. grandparents 6. uncles and aunts The surviving spouse is a statutory heir, subject to the special provisions of Section 1635 of Civil and Commercial Code.
  11. It couldn't possibly have been on its way to Poland to pick up more "munitions" for Ukraine, sorry, Bangladesh under contract to NATO, like previous flights. No, definitely not. ????
  12. It arrived today. No problems.
