Thomas Woldbye, chief executive of Heathrow Airport, remained asleep for the first seven hours of a major power outage that paralyzed Europe’s busiest airport because his mobile phone had switched to silent mode without his knowledge. So what? Nothing he could do to help, other than get in the way. Big airport already has a crisis team in place to handle emergencies. They just need to inform the big guy after the fact 'bout what they did.

I was under the impression that it is due to parents over-medicating their children, not necessarily folks already taking some form of blood thinner, as the reason for aspirin sometimes being removed from pharmacy shelves.

Yes, back muscle strengthening exercise helps, but sometimes I do something I shouldn't do. Tramadol works for those rare occasions. It's fine. "The patient says, "Doctor, it hurts when I do this." The doctor says, "Then don't do that!" ― Henny Youngman

I've got a congenital lower back whatchamacallit, and when it occasionally goes out, maybe once every other year, I can barely walk. Lying flat in bed is too painful to sleep. Couple tramadol twice a day for 3-4 days to full recovery. Need to have a supply on hand, no way I can walk into a pharmacy then. What's weird though, can't walk without excruciating pain, but I can jump on a bicycle and ride 100km no problem.

So pop into the hardware store next to the pharmacy and buy some sandpaper. This isn't rocket science!

My local pharmacy carries Tramadil© capsules, 50mg tramadol. No prescription needed.

81mg low-dose pills are super cheap. Just take 6 to get your 500-mg hit.

The wee, tiny paper they hand out listing requirements requests a 2-month bank statement, does not specify type of bank account. Just another example of every office interpreting the rules in their own unique way. Want another? Korat also requires a new TM-30 done on the day of extension. Even if we've done one online and have a screenshot of the confirmation receipt.

Well, if the firstest lady says it, then it must be true. Oh, wait.......... "BUSTED: Melania Trump Lied Under Oath in 2013 About Graduating From College With a ‘Bachelor’s in Architecture.’" https://www.politifact.com/factchecks/2020/feb/20/blog-posting/claim-about-melania-trump-touting-false-credential/ And we'll trust Dr. Jill when she claims Joe is sharp as a tack, right?

Is Trump's war on academia his dumbest move yet?

Anti-science? No, just anti anything that doesn't agree with his warped-speed worldview. RFK Jr. may bar government scientists from publishing in medical journals Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. said he will ban government scientists from publishing in leading medical journals and proposed creating an “in-house” publication by the department. “We are probably going to stop publishing in the Lancet, the New England Journal of Medicine, JAMA and those other journals because they are all corrupt,” Kennedy said during an episode of “The Ultimate Human” podcast. https://thehill.com/policy/healthcare/5322269-robert-kennedy-jr-bans-medical-journals/ "Corrupt" means not following the regime's preferred talking points, so the government will create their own fake journals to disseminate their fake science. -
The claim about Donald Trump's rejection from Harvard appears to be factually accurate. Multiple sources confirm that Trump was rejected by Harvard University in 1964, with a specific rejection letter stating "We cannot offer you admission to the Class of 1968" [1] [1]. https://factually.co/fact-checks/politics/trump-harvard-rejection-facts-c47ffc Seems Harvard wasn't in the business of selling draft dodging deferrals. A White House spokesperson criticized USA TODAY Network questions about whether Trump applied to Harvard and answered with this statement: "The President didn’t need to apply to an overrated, corrupt institution like Harvard to become a successful businessman and the most transformative President in history," spokesperson Taylor Rogers said. https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/2025/05/28/trump-college-harvard/83895973007/ Heck, Trump even started his own ejumacation store, which was quite successful! Trump University was accused of fraud for misleading students about its educational offerings and the success of its real estate strategies. The New York Attorney General filed a lawsuit claiming it engaged in deceptive practices, leading to a settlement of $25 million in 2016. And the winning never ends..............so much winning!

Just a disorderly behavior charge, nothing to get your hajib in a twist over. NOT charged for burning a work of fiction, but on a breach of the peace offence. If the great book of fairy tails were a protected religious work, he'd face serious charges, as he would had he used the wrong pronoun. Woman arrested for misgendering a trans person on Twitter charged with trolling Police have charged a mother in the UK for malicious communication after she referred to a trans woman as man on Twitter in a “campaign of targeted harassment”. https://www.thepinknews.com/2019/09/05/trolling-malicious-communication-misgendering-stephanie-hayden-kate-scottow/ First UK street preacher reported as terrorist for 'misgendering' wins appeal: 'Orwellian and really alarming' Dave McConnell, 42, was convicted in August under section 4A Public Order Act 1986 after he referred to a biological male who presented as a female by addressing the individual as "he" during a conversation with a police officer, according to his legal counsel at the London-based Christian Legal Centre. https://www.foxnews.com/world/first-uk-street-preacher-reported-terrorist-misgendering-wins-appeal-orwellian-really-alarming

Very lucky man, indeed! Had he misgendered one of the security guards he'd likely be facing extended jail time, followed by deportation. And Trump won't concern himself with free speech rights in this case, as he was just a non-citizen asylum seeker. Free speech doesn't apply to them, y'know. Disorderly behavior is appropriate. Labour to jail people who use wrong gender pronouns on purpose under hate crime law Purposely calling someone by the wrong gender pronoun could lead to jail time of up to two years as it may be treated as a hate crime under a Labour government. https://www.express.co.uk/news/politics/1824045/labour-gender-pronouns-hate-crime-law

Two hundred years ago today, a 36-year old America declared war, for the second time, against Great Britain. The plan was to conquer Canada and wrest North America for the United States once and for all. But, by pretty much all measures, the war was a total mess… ...British forces attacked Washington and torched the White House. Well, okay, if Canada really needs the help....

They are collectively known as NATO. Besides the American invasion of Canada in 1775, and continued fighting throughout the War of 1812, Canada has faced American invasion on several other occasions. 1. The Dickson Filibuster // 1836 2. The Patriot War // 1837–1838 3. The Fenian Raids // 1866–1871 4. The Oka Crisis // 1990 5. The Trumper Tantrum // 2025
