  1. Chinese would be better off, both in terms of cost and time, running the line down through Myanmar, then building a 600km bridge to Malaysia.
  2. It takes time for the right people to buy up the properties along the proposed route to later sell to the rail corporation at inflated prices.
  3. So after Minsk and Minsk-2 and Istanbul and Black Sea Grain, you think Putin is going to sign Minsk-3?

  5. Airport director Tippawan Wangsanuwat said: ‘The detection of explosive precursors might have come from the passenger's clothes. ‘He may have been in a place containing explosive substances or entertainment venues with sound and lighting, possibly using firecrackers or rockets.' The tourist was later released and allowed to return to his homeland in Europe. https://www.newsflare.com/video/738131/swedish-tourist-detained-at-thai-airport-after-explosives-found-in-luggage# Officials concluded that the explosive precursor detection might have come from the passenger’s clothes if he had been in places related to explosives, sound and light shows, or traditional Isan firecrackers and rocket festivals. www.khaosodenglish.com/news/2025/04/18/drama-at-udon-airport-as-tatp-found-in-swedish-mans-luggage/
  6. discovered in 1895 by the German chemist Richard Wolffenstein. Wolffenstein combined acetone and hydrogen peroxide, and then he allowed the mixture to stand for a week at room temperature, during which time a small quantity of crystals precipitated, (wiki) Probably some forgotten leftover durian and mango salad in a to-go box fermented..... As to the state-0f-the-art equipment, I would guess they repurposed some of those $33,000 GT-200 bomb detectors they purchased for a total of $24 million
  7. There are methods which you could do it," Mr. Trump said in a phone interview, adding that "it is far too early to think about it." They have some of their best scientific minds working on it as we speak.
  8. Sorry, massah. Won't happen again, massah. Toby be good for massah.
  9. Alien lifeforms to be tariffed at 500% in 3...2...1........
  10. Which brings up...........why a study tour now? The design has been approved, construction is (sort of) already underway. Isn't it a bit late to start thinking about how to implement it?
  11. Trump raises 'reciprocal' tariffs on Japanese cars to 20%. Japan says they levy 0% tariffs on US cars. Trump regime complains they don't buy LHD cars that don't fit on their streets.
  12. Meanwhile, Hainan Island, which already has their high-speed rail running underneath the Haikou airport to an underground station, has a draft plan to build a tunnel from the island to the mainland, about 25 KM, water depth 120m.
  13. Trump raises 'reciprocal' tariffs on Vietnam to 46%. Vietnam offers to drop all tariffs to 0%. Trump regime not interested.
  14. Look on the bright side - haven't seen any new threads on Thai taxation of foreigners in the past couple weeks, even as the Thai tax season came to an end. With the loss of $10 Trillion from the stock market, and the devastation to pension plans and individual IRA's, not as many will be able to remit enough funds to be taxed! Winning!©
  15. I'd have to look up exact numbers, but the KM-VT took about 5 years to build through some very rough terrain. Hundreds of kilometers of bridges and tunnels. The project was completed under budget - I believe the VT-Boten section was about $5 Billion - and on schedule. The Thailand portion of KM-SG is a total farce. The bloated budget, the endless delays, tell me this won't be operational for decades, actually more like half a century. Bangkok to Korat is subdivided into 12 or 13 segments, and they might maybe perhaps get one in operation by 2030-ish? Just the short bit from VT to Korat will take longer than the entire KM-VT line, and cost at least double.
  16. Wait, you're saying gasoline isn't a gas. Shouldn't it be called go-juice then?
  17. Isn't that a liquid?
  18. C'mon, it's just a freakin' railroad. Fast, but still just a railroad. How complicated could it................ooooooooooooohhhhhhhh.
  19. ..........and what he posts on Instagram.......
  20. Thailand does not suffer the wind speeds associated with hurricanes, because it is protected by thousands of miles of geogaraphy.
  21. I don't know if it's true, but they say foreigners that spend their time in seedy establishments with ladies of ill repute tend to develop a very distinctive pattern of speech.
  22. Well, of course not! The term "hurricane" is used when the weather system originates over the Atlantic Ocean, the Caribbean, or the Northeast Pacific Ocean. The term "typhoon" is used when the weather system originates over the Northwest Pacific Ocean. The term "cyclone" is used when the weather system originates over the South Pacific Ocean or the Indian Ocean.

  24. But I saw videos on YouTube showing fields of abandoned EV's as far as the eye could see! That means their economy is cratering. Oh, and ghost cities! They have cities with ghosts! Must be the ten million missing cellphone subscribers along with the thousands of dead slave laborers who perished before Foxconn installed suicide nets! We're winning, dammit! Winning!
