Many years ago I took my dog, a German Shepard, from the UK to Southern Africa. I didnt rely on the airline I got a professional company to take care of everything. The dog arrived in perfect condition
Getting a taxi in Pattaya is a total rip off right from the start.
Maybe the OP needs to get away from Pattaya and experience what the country is really like because reading the post it is not something I have experienced.
Not really. You may think they are but they are not. In part yes but not to the extent an EV is. Do you really believe the technicians that are currently working on vehicles will have the capability of analysing the system? You are dreaming if you think that.
Disagree. The technology is getting there but right now it isnt there. If you was driving from say Bangkok to Chiang Mai charging could add several hours onto your journey. Maybe you are happy with that but I certainly wouldnt be and I am sure many others wouldnt be either.
Agreed. Once the obvious technicalities are resolved there is course where is the extra power to be generated from? Currently we dont have as many blackouts as we used to have say 10 years ago but I dont believe the system is sufficient to support the millions of cars on the road that will need to be accommodated.
Of course assuming the above is adequately met what is going to happen with the old batteries that can be refurbished to some extent but there will be a lot of what people consider to be toxic waste as a result.
How are the garages going to provide servicing and fault finding? The vehicles will essentially be a computer on wheels and I dont think currently many mechanics can adequately handle such a technology.
Biggest problem I Have with EV's is the distance on a full charge, the time to fully charge if driving somewhere and the availability of charging stations.
Of course despite what some people say the idea is good but the technology and price right now isnt.
First off I would like to say I hope both the father and the child recover from this accident quickly.
Having said that if the people were taught about distance and road conditions it is very possible such an accident would never have taken place.
If they want to wear a mask then they should. I took a walk this morning, no mask and 99% of the Thai people I passed wore them. I dont think you can expect anything else considering the fear they have been made to feel.
Yes we have become a nation of softies. People who do vicious crimes get a slap on the wrist. Deterrent appears to be a four letter word now. We tend to give the criminals better treatment than the victims but when you have laws that are soft what else would you expect.
Good for you, however many Thais have enough problems trying to feed themselves with the increased cost of living. You put the dogs above people I do the opposite. You may not agree with that but that is your choice. If I had to chose between a dog or helping a family the dog would come in second place.
