I am sure you are right but in the process they are forgetting how to read a book. Very sad isnt it.

I do but I can understand why you couldnt sell them. Most of the younger generation cant read. If it isnt on some crummy web site they have no idea things such as books actually exist.

I am sure you wouldnt take long to get back into using a slide rule. I use to use one all the time back in the early 70's as an Engineering undergraduate. You would have been looked on as stupid if you couldnt use one.

It is very scary when so many people just assume that everything is safe and secure. You are right "what could go wrong?" just scary to think of the possible consequences.

Very possibly. I have worked on jobs overseas with Thai engineers and found them to be very good. Having said that I have watched them here in Thailand and am afraid I don't have the same respect for them. I recently watched fibre optic cables being installed and if ever there was a case of not conducting the installation properly, there was an excellent demonstration of how it should never be done.

With more and more of smart appliances being pushed has anyone considered the privacy offered to the user of such items? I am not referring to the manufacturer but the individual user? Hackers will inevitably gain access to these devices and apart from causing inconvenience to the user could use them for malicious purposes. Does anyone here have these devices and if so have you taken them at face value concerning security or have you looked into the privacy issues they raise?

Since most of the younger generation spend most of their time on Tik-Tok it is hardly surprising that they are as thick as two short planks. If it isnt on Tik-Tok or similar app then they have no idea. Just out of interest who, on this platform remember when you couldnt use a calculator in school exams? (I was going to say how many can use a slide rule but I know it wouldnt be very many at all).

Maybe I should start giving talks on how to spot a scam and what to do when you are being scammed.

The 3:4 is the format i.e rectangular, square etc,, it is not the size. You need to go down from 64M to say 12M or whatever the camera can offer. What format are the photos in? If it is RAW they will be big files. Set it to JPG which will give you the smallest file size

Even if small amounts was taken over a period you would still notice pretty quickly money was missing. Why was all this money not in a bank? Under the mattress wouldn't seem to be the obvious place to put your money unless you had a reason to hide it from public scrutiny.
