Primarily because of non-existent government. The people we have are totally self serving with no interest in the actual country. This together with the dependance on other countries for our power is a receipt for disaster which is what we have. Of course handing money out like it is sweets does not help neither does a government that is allowing itself to be at the mercy of little groups of snowflakes.

As much as I love living in Thailand it would take a really good job package to get me to want to work here. I think it would really leave a bitter taste in my mouth if as a Westerner I worked here and that is not something I want. I have worked in other Asian countries and have found them to be good places but I also have the knowledge that if I decided to finish a job I can come back to Thailand and leave the job and the country behind. If you work here you cant do that to the same extent.

Of course ew should assimilate it is not our home country. It makes life a lot easier as well if you do try and fit in.

What day did you make the transfer? If it was Friday then that would account for the delay as the banks generally dont handle transfer over the weekend.

So I guess no Thai would ever be involved in money laundering? Really? Maybe someone can explain why many scammers in India use Thailand to launder money through and the people they apparently use are not foreigners but Thai's.

No that is because they are possibly alcoholics or are running away from the life they had before which will never work out good.

For me Thailand is a great place to live and I have lived in a lot of countries around the world. It doesn't suit everyone of course I would say it would be hard to beat living in Thailand.
