  1. Write to your Congressman.
  2. That's three comments pulled out of your <deleted>.
  3. The driver was also a victim and he didn't kill anyone.
  4. So you're saying the six farangs chickened out? Shameful.
  5. To me, the statistics indicate a huge middle class with loads of (nearly maxed out) credit.
  6. This 'Bwah-ha-ha!' moment brought to you by @NoshowJones Insurance? That's what gift baskets of Brands Essence of Chicken are for no? It's the Lucozade of Thailand's in-patients.
  7. Soi 5 doesn't do Draft Dodging. Oh, that's good mike. Very good.
  8. More than you'll ever know Bob.
  9. Since when has increasing access to endless easy credit and pay-day loans made the punter rich? Thailand's no different in that regard. If you are seeing Thai folks spending, that money certainly isn't sitting in their bank accounts.
  10. Thanks for the update. I'll know where to go for my optical needs/must next time I'm in Pattaya.
  11. Only if you are indiscreet. ...or think that plowing the typing pool is cool.
  12. Euro-Optic on Second Road opposite Avani and Royal Garden Plaza.
  13. By who? Pol Maj Gen Surachate 'Big Joke' Hakparn? Horlicks still does it for me.
  14. I recall the Scottish girl that was murdered by her Tinder date in New Zealand a few years back. There was solid evidence presented at the trial that she, like many other women, was into BDSM so not averse to a bit of roughness. There was also an opinion presented in evidence from some of the guy's previous dates that "he was going to hurt someone". The UK had already legislated against the 'rough sex' defence and I believe New Zealand may now have done that as well by now? Either way, I'm not at all sure of any aspects of Thai law with regard to this guy's actions.
  15. Humans who are anemic also bruise easily. Includes male humans as well.
  16. Lucky you weren't thrown in jail. Why would he be thrown in jail? It's not as if the RTP are upholding a higher standard here is it? We are talking about the noxious collective that is the Immigration Police and not some squeaky clean, anti-graft body. It's like a forum member last year who had his previous extensions acquired via a Pattaya agent for the convenience and not due to lack of funds. He decided he had the time to do it properly at Chaengwattana. He got his passport with a 'bad' extension chucked back in his face by a ranting, sanctimonious Chaengwattana paper shuffler who, after he got off his high horse, offered to correct his ill-gotten paperwork for only fifteen thousand baht. Shills. The lot of 'em.
  17. Yup, I stand corrected. There weren't (m)any LB's on 6/1 back then either.
  18. Soi 6 had a few bars bars that ingeniously had stairs out the back (on Soi 7) to the short time rooms above the non-bar shophouse next door so technically they weren't a brothel (just a bit of a hike in the sun).
  19. I also remember girls telling me that they were afraid to go down there. Wasn’t that long ago when it was just a mud road. How old are these 'girls'? I owned townhomes on Soi Jirapol (between Buakhao and Sai Sahm) in the early 80's. Both roads were paved. Buakhao was pretty much the edge of town with very little on the east side but it built up rapidly. The buffaloes roamed where the Buffalo Bar is now, all the way up to Sukhumvit.
  20. More to the point, what is the English translation of 'manky'?! (Joking here of course, but I thought manky was a very colloquial word only used in Leicester in my youth...) Manky was what happened at Anfield last Saturday night.
  21. You posted that you were "interested to know more" about internet cost differences. I gave you an example. Now you're wondering about how I spend my time? My apologies if I mistook you for someone who was seriously interested.
  22. Nobody in government's going to stick their head above the parapet and make a decision during this this election* window. Having said that, based on the advance notice that CCSA never offered during the Covid extension era, it could be extended at short notice. Or, it could end on 31 March. * It IS an election, nothing 'de-facto' about it.
  23. Interesting. Max Steineke discovered Saudi Arabia's first oil in 1938. He was an American but George Reynolds, and Englishman, is credited with the middle east's first oil discovery in Persia back in 1908. But, as you say, it's not a competion (sic).
  24. My God, I hope you have no Thai relative or friends. Where are you from that doesn't have any kids having accidents? A bit early to be feeding a troll, no?
