  1. "First Lady" and "First Gentlemen" applies to the spouse or partner of a President, never a lowly Prime Minister. K. Pidok is just another bloke.
  2. So do thousands of Americans charged with DUI. A guy I worked with plead down his three DUI's three times. The last one cost him around 8000 bucks at the end of the day. But that's the marvelous thing about justice and the courts in the USA. If you don't want to do the time, just pay a bigger fine but make sure you have enough left over for your lawyer.
  3. For you maybe. For others, there's https://factcheck.afp.com/doc.afp.com.36CD8J8 Can you spot the difference?
  4. In other words she has no positions she wants the American voting public to know about. No, she's genuinely amused at your increasing desperation.
  5. Alternative facts. BTW, how about Kellyanne Conway, the inventor of the 'alternative facts' narrative, pleading publicly for Trump to stop waffling about personalities and get his arse in gear before it's too late?
  6. She's ROFLMAO'ing over Trump's increasingly bizarre sit down interviews, media outbursts and the general signs of him losing the plot.
  7. ...compared to a potted plant, yes I agree, he's very eloquent.
  8. When did Walz correct his war zone lies? A few weeks ago. Wow... your record has been broken for that long already?
  9. Maybe because it was a big fat nothingburger in 2006, there was nothing to speak up about? In the meantime, you're welcome to keep clutching at straws.
  10. And your record sounds broken.
  11. No, his 2006 campaign staff were the ones making stuff up. And Trump is... Hell yeah. I got deferred adjudication with a whole slew of community work and other stuff that I never carried out before they dismissed my DUI because the court's docket was too full of more important stuff. While the Right is this icon of moral rectitude?
  12. The British Embassy does everything that it is obligated to do for their citizens. Absolutely correct. I think the whiney malcontents are upset that they no longer get invited for croquet, cucumber sandwiches and Pimm's No. 1 Cup on the lawn at the Ambassador's residence anymore.
  13. But aren't your bar girl sweethearts pretty much the same?
  14. And a mere 24-hours later, jobs for the (quite young) girls.
  15. I am a bar girl basher, in general poorly educated women forced into prostitution to earn a living which the government turns a blind eye to instead of trying to improve the education system and generate real jobs. Hold on a minute. Aren't you supposed to be on a horse?
  16. What's your problem? Bananas are good for you.
  17. If the OP is working remotely and not a tourist (?), the new Destination Thailand Visa (DTV) is a perfect fit. This new five-year visa will grant a period of stay of up to 180 days per visit, with multiple re-entries, to digital nomads, remote workers, and those participating in activities such as traditional Thai martial arts (Muay Thai), Thai cooking classes, sports training, medical treatment, etc..
  18. So only Trump has the right to over inflate his... achievements and bang on about how great he has been and will be again? Is there some pantheon of previous Veeps and their stellar performances during their 4-years of waiting in the wings, not rocking the boat and fundamentally getting recognized for "being there, just in case" that makes you think Harris should be more forthcoming?
  19. The world didn't stop turning when the US elected their first black POTUS with Obama so electing their first black female POTUS with Harris, apart from being without precedent, will be all rather unremarkable.
  20. Fried eggs, Swedish meatballs with gravy, mashed potato and jalapeño kimchi. Bacon and baked beans is so passé.
  21. That connection isn't recommended by AY themselves due to the short connection time. Possible if hand-carry only, but if the inbound from BKK was delayed instead of early, it's the airport hotel. Friends being quoted in The Sun a few days back say "Yes the flights were all booked we've seen the confirmations in his emails." so they would have the information if he had planned for a tight connection or a layover at HEL. Anyway, it looks like he's called family to say he's OK but hasn't revealed where he is and, unbelievably after tearing both the Yorkshire and Thailand police a new rsole for being unhelpful, they didn't even ask him where he is or when he will return home. https://www.thesun.co.uk/news/29778085/missing-brit-simon-robinson-is-found-safe/ Some mothers do have 'em!
  22. No. In many countries, including the UK, the bank considers the passport as a higher proof of identity than the driving license, utility bill or tax receipt. People die, people hack accounts, etc.. My offshore UK bank had me jumping through all sorts of hoops to comply with mandatory KYC (know your customer) protocols. This fully 28 years after I opened the account. Thailand has recently signed up to the OECD club so expect more rigorous checks on your bona fides.
  23. All available in Udon Thani. (but hurry up, there's a bunch of folk already in the queue)
