I don't know how old he was, but he may have enjoyed living a bit longer.

I know a Chinese guy that has a condo with a balcony towards the street. When they show up he leans over the balcony as they arrive or wait for him to buzz them in. If he's not into it he just goes back inside. Sometimes I see them just standing out in front waiting. It's quite common to have a lot of no shows and false meetings on the app game, so it's not a big deal.

When I actually lived in Pattaya I was almost never on this forum or online regarding anything about Thailand ????. I'm only on here when I'm expecting to return in the near future.

It used to be much worse years ago back when it was thai visa. almost every thread had people insulting each other. sometimes i was even afraid to read the responses. people used to get banned constantly and come in with new accounts. you could guess who it was occassionally.

I don't have any children and I would not necessarily want my next of kin making any arrangements.

That's what happens pretty much anywhere, unless your already in a hospital, or have family with you. There are procedures in place when a body is found. Even if your old, lonely and skint you will likely find a burial somewhere even if it's in a common grave. And that's Ok, because it's all you really need...???? I saw a walking group tour with Chinese people and the tour guide had a long pole with a stuffed animal tied to the top. Everyone followed the animal.

The real older white guys seems like a thing of the past. I wonder where they went though. There's not a whole lot of options like Pattaya around.

Kensington Ave is not the norm. That's the worse I have seen anywhere. It's drug addicts and not just homeless. Different animals. However, homeless camps are getting bigger all over. Portland is getting over run. I know people who live in Portland and the homeless are coming into their driveway and stealing stuff. They are considering moving out. Rents are also going way up. A 1-Bedroom near Los Angeles or SF could be $1,800 a month minimum for example. That would be a deal if you could find it. There are loads of applicants for available units and landlord asks for credit score, references, employment history, etc. It's like going to a job interview. Not at all like Thailand where you can just pick a place and move in.

What are you missing about Thailand? Did you miss the temples and just wander into the forum? There must be some reason you are here after being gone for two years.

The cost of the studio may be cheaper but so is the quality. A 11k baht room in Pattaya is not the same as the one you would get in the Uk. You would be living in a place like Nirun for example.

It looks like they are working looking in because everyone is distracted by the booze & girls, and just the relief of getting laid once in awhile. Underneath, it's running on upfront deposits, faith and savings. You heard that one before ????‍♂️ and it would not be around forever if there was no truth there.
