US English teacher arrested for sexual relation with 16 y/o student
Celsius replied to webfact's topic in Bangkok News
His bird? She is 16 years old. The funny part no one is mentioning here us that this attention seeking clown is American. He may actually get off lightly in Thailand, but when he is back in US he will receive Epstein treatment.- 416 replies

US English teacher arrested for sexual relation with 16 y/o student
Celsius replied to webfact's topic in Bangkok News
This "teacher luke" is well known and he is attention seeking nasty piece of work. Thing is if he was doing things low key no one would probably care. He looooves attention and in Thailand that is a big no when you are a foreigner doing certain things.- 416 replies

Thailand shakes up golden visa scheme, hikes prices by up to 500 per cent
Celsius replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
I told him the same thing in another thread....as a gen xer too. Seems to be bitter about something. And there is absolutelly nothing intelligent about his posts. His main point that Elite visa is a niche market and they don't want a lot of subscribers. Pure comedy gold nonsense. -

Thailand shakes up golden visa scheme, hikes prices by up to 500 per cent
Celsius replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Yea.... and after that they were setting up unrealistic, laughable targets year after year that never materialized. But lo and behold we now have some guy living in 22sqm studio claiming otherwise. The 3 year covid anomaly and a war in Ukraine doesn't make a trend. The biggest spenders (and I never bash Chinese and rather respect them) are gone and literally bankrupt. -

Thailand shakes up golden visa scheme, hikes prices by up to 500 per cent
Celsius replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
This new pricing is just to attract a few idiots with the last minute fake demand "last chance before prices go up" story. It is similar to crypto pyramid scheme. There are no "rich" people buying into this. I am willing to bet you that next year they are going to come up with new "budget" elite schemes or worse revert to old pricing structure. -

No, your numbers are wrong. Are you a millenial who can't do basic math? Your numbers are all over the place and wrong. -
Articles like this have been popping up since I was in my 20's, yet all the money I made was thanks to Americans and their purchasing power. I am Canadian and when e-commerce became popular I could barely sell anything to Canadians and just about everything to Americans. Even today, I when try to do e commerce in Thailand and realize how Thais are poor as hell, contrary to some Thai bootlickers who try to convince you otherwise. I still rely on Americans in this day and age to sponsor my life in Thailand, so I thank them very much.... AS A CANADIAN.

Thanks. Super depressed today. On top of that it seems like my wife caught a Zika virus.

What interactions. Here on this thread you are whining about boomers again.

I want this day to last forever. Life is not fair, I still feel like a spoiled child. What are the actual benefits of being this old? I don't see any. I guess I can now live forever in Thailand on retirement visa? What an amazing benefit. What else? Give me something positive you aged misbegottens.

This is the cost, but there are certain perks with this that are banned in Canada.

Setting up a limited company
Celsius replied to FriendlyFarang's topic in Jobs, Economy, Banking, Business, Investments
Speak to my wife if you or anyone is serious about this as she still has connections at CP. She used to work as a location scout and franchiser for 7/11 in Bangkok area. The 2 year break even number is nonsense. There are (or they were) 3 types of 7/11 investments; type A B and C depending on how much money are you willing to risk. Most of that money goes as a deposit towards your store and the rest would be the actual investment. Your take home salary on a 2 million baht investment would probably be around 30-40k a month.... if you are lucky. Still.... a better investment than a bar. This is a short version. -
Foreign Credit Card % fee
Celsius replied to zorrow's topic in Jobs, Economy, Banking, Business, Investments
I think it is a good deal. -
No, it is not. It is very easy, easier than Amazon. You do have only 7 days tho. I have bought 1 new and 2 used laptops from Lazada in the past year. NO issues whatsoever. The last throwaway laptop I bought was Thinkpad X250 which I only paid 2,800 baht. Works great, but it does come with wear and tear and a fake windows 10 copy.

Thai tourism faces strain from sluggish Chinese, Japanese economies
Celsius replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Doubt she will get anything better than King Power. My wife quit from a Japanese company 1 year ago thinking it would be easy for her. She changed 2 jobs with a lower salary. Only by pure luck because I told her to put her resume on LinkedIn did she get hired remotely by US company 5 months ago. But even then although the salary is higher, all the benefits like healthcare and provident fund are gone. I know King Power has both because one of her friends works there. -
Maybe you should offer rhem something they cqn not resist......sticky rice ballz

18-30m/Rai at Nonthaburi
Celsius replied to leclec's topic in Real Estate, Housing, House and Land Ownership
Seriously? Locals? The condo developers buy the land. I know a girl who's father owns the land and house next to the abandoned Sathorn Unique.... maybe 10 Rai. Offered 2 billion baht 15 years ago. He declined the sale because the land as you say was passed from generation to generation and is meant for future generations and not immediate enrichment. -
Do we really appreciate how lucky we are?
Celsius replied to BritManToo's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
Terrible. Honestly, pure slop. Only in Thailand would this pass as food. -
Will gay marriage be legalized soon?
Celsius replied to Goodboybkk's topic in Gay People in Thailand
So what? It is for the show. Even in Taiwan not all foreigners can stay on marriage visa if they are gay. Hint. It will not happen during your lifetime. Even now the Thai government has to deal with all the fake marriages between certain nationalities who use it to stay illegally. Recognizing gay marriages will open a massive can of worms. -
Do we really appreciate how lucky we are?
Celsius replied to BritManToo's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
I dunno. I always find it when someone posts on a forum how lucky they are they are usually compensating for something..... like paying for sex while holding resentment about those poor UK butlers screwing other people's wives for free. -
So, In facto de facto not your wife really
