Options for Extension of Marriage visa
Celsius replied to Ubonquest's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
I am not clear about this 60 day extension and I have been here 10 years, Do you get 1 60 d6ay extension per visa? If yes, does that mean that if you obtained your original visa years ago and used that extension once, you can not do it again unless you apply for another marriage visa? So, for example I got the visa in 2017 and used a 60 day extension the same year. Since then I have been on marriage extensions. 6 years later I want to use 60 day extension again.... can I use it or not? Is it once a year or once per visa? -
So you asked them? Was it in Englit or Thai? ????

I am not a multimillionaire, but I have been living in Thailand for 10 using some of the tools I mentioned, spending my 30's and 40's working for myself 2 hours a day and living the dream. If you are younger than me and do not have a single clue how to use the tools available to you which require literally 0 skills than there is something wrong with you. Instead you bash the boomers because they supposedly had it so easy, but in reality you have not a single clue what the real work is just like like you have no single clue about Thailand calling office workers "hiso" because they work in nice shiny buildings. I guess I am married to a hiso as she makes more money than the beggarly office workers you meet on your way to Nana. I never knew. Probably spent the last 4 years on Nana barstool. Is your mama's trust fund running out of money? LOL

Gen X here. You are whining and complaining. There has literally never been easier time in human history to make money by literally sitting and doing nothing. Tiktok, youtube, instagram, amazon, ebay, shoppee, shopify, crypto, onlyfans..... Aren't you the one who claims office workers in Thailand are hiso? ????????

What a bunch of crapola. That's why they have business class, first class.... so that cabin crew can kiss your behind and you can feel special. Not to mention all the dolled up asian crew members. That sure comes in handy when the plane nosedives. ROFL

Some people here think that if she is not a prostitute she is a good girl. Reading the OP, it doesn't seem that way at all. I have dated plenty of normal, career girls even students who never asked for anything, yet it was ovbious they were hiding something, lying something or were just plain psychos.

Another bloke who lost virginity in Thailand. I do wonder if you ever had sex with anyone before you would be asking these questions? Or a troll? In case you don't get it. You are already 100% incompatible due to cultural differences. The 10 year age gap may not seem big in Thailand, but in fact it is huge. As a woman in her early 20's she will have completely different ideas and interests. You live on hope and dreams probably alone in Thailand. She has 100's of friends who already know everything about you and doesn't have to go on internet forums for relationship advice. You already lost mathematically.

According to google reviews they seem to have a stellar history of not paying any claims.

Oh yes, that should be easy.

How should I deal with a very persistent Thai male?

It's just a bro showing love for the sister You know Thai families, no? -
Correct. It is utterly stupid to buy as most condos are paid in cash by foreign mugs meaning the bank does not pay yoy to live there while you use your money to invest back home. 10 years ago I came to Thailand with 100,000 Canadian pesos and a 75% mortgaged condo in Toronto. Tenants paid off my loan while I was renting in Thailand. If I used that money to buy a place here I would be stuck with depreciating property and no savings. Instead I have close to million bux. That being said your last point is correct, but since most of us are esentially tourists with yearly extensions you can't really do exactly as you please.

Thailand is like a food market. You never know which color plastic chair you will get -
Another iconic building in Bangkok down the toilet. Could they have not simply refurbish it? If Elephant building wasn't mostly condos I am sure that would have been next.

I am talking strictly about resale units, not new inflated units sold by developers. Also, some areas of Bangkok are holding ok, such as foreign ghettos like Thonglor and Ekkamai, but that is also hit and miss depending on the project. My wife who has been trying to sell her condo during covid, finally sold it in April for about 25% loss since she bought it 11 years ago. This is the condo that is located right next to the new train station which by itself should have brought the value UP not down. I told her that maybe she should hold on to it as it is relatively easy to rent being next to Samitivej Hospital and an international university (she sold it with tenants), but she wanted cash in hand. Just for fun, I decided to check the prices today and they now there are a few units at 10% lower than what she sold for. Absolutely mindboggling. Then I went online to check a few projects I was interested in during covid when the prices were low. Most of them are selling for the same 10% discount and most are the exact same units that were offered 3 years ago. What is even more shocking is that if you are on a budget and you need a 27sqm crash pad in a well maintained newish low rise in the middle of Sathorn right opposite of MahaNakhon buliding and next to Holiday Inn express you can now have it for 88.888 per square meter or 2.4 million. This unit has also been selling forever and recently discounted by 10%. I am guessing the Chinese that are coming here are not the same Chinese of yesteryear.
