COVID-19 infections rising, public advised to wear face masks

Your post reminded me of the memes going around on my side of the fence during the time. The Covidians stripped us of our most basic rights, but they gave us some great memes. Remember this one? -
Dangerous honeycomb wax sweets trend sweeps social media in Thailand
Bobthegimp replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
My God, how am I still alive? A coworker of mine was a beekeeper and occasionally gave me honeycomb from one of his hives. It was delicious spread on crisp toast or eaten with a spoon. Now I find out that the bastard was trying to kill me. -
It was comedy gold during what should have been "the winter of death" for those of my ilk, as my injected family members succumbed to 4 covid infections during the winter and spring after their "vaccinations " while I didn't have any after my initial illness in November of 2019. My family members messaged me every few hours after I'd spent an evening with them in close quarters. They got sick and I remained healthy. To be fair, they were coerced into taking the injections by their employers. Once injected, they joined the Branch Covidians and preached the gospel until their second bout with the "deadly" disease. I remained healthy throughout and tended them whilst they coughed up the contents of their lungs into the air I breathed. My understanding is that the uptake of booster shots is less than 3 percent, with most of those being forced injections on people living in care homes. All of you so called "vaccinated" people are only as good as your last injection. Not boosted? You're filth in the eyes of Fauci et al. Well, we tried to tell you 555

Yes, the Branch Covidians will always be with us, attributing their survival to masks and needles whilst ignoring the fact that the "winter of death" never arrived for the uninjected. The best way to deal with those clowns is to ask two simple questions that put the covid debacle into perspective: What was the case mortality rate of Sars CoV2? What was the average number of comorbities for those who died *with* Sars CoV2? The results can be found with a simple search and the numbers are not in dispute. The problem with the "case mortality rate" is that many people caught covid but it was never confirmed by a test, which makes the case mortality rate (around 2.3 percent) artificially high.

Thailand’s weekly Covid-19 cases surge over 500 with three fatalities

Lovely, let's mess up the kids even more. Good thing the polio vaccine wasn't such a failure or we'd all be limping around or on an iron lung ! -
Neighbour Held For Beating Italian Man To Death In Front Of His House
Bobthegimp replied to webfact's topic in Bangkok News
If any one of my loved ones started acting like Gino did, I'd get him the help he needed so it didn't become necessary to bash his skull in with a piece of rebar. I gave up on "demanding" justice (or anything that resembles it)from the state long ago. The lord helps those who help themselves. Had the Thai man and his son taken a more circumspect approach to handling their problem neighbour they wouldn't be rotting in a cell today. A cursory investigation would be carried out and a ruling of suicide would have been rendered, even if the farang died from 67 stab wounds to the back. -

Gino got more than he deserved, but only by an extra blow or two. Thai papa got a little carried away, as one does in this type of situation. Perfectly understandable. Set the father and son loose with a stern warning and no criminal record- just like we do with migrants back home. -
Neighbour Held For Beating Italian Man To Death In Front Of His House

Take them at their word. A while back I was on a songtaew on Soi Buakhao and a foreigner on a scooter started honking because the traffic was backed up and honking a scooter's horn makes traffic magically disperse. A Thai lady sitting beside me on the songtaew asked why he was honking, to which I just shrugged. She said that if he did that in a village he would "have big problem, maybe dead". Yep, he would. As for Gino the skint Italian, he was squatting in a house that had been foreclosed on by the bank and had the services cut off. He couldn't have ponied up for garbage collection because he had no right to be there in the first place. In a perfect world the bank officer would have a talk with a judge and get the Thai men sprung from jail. Papa Thai did them a service by removing a filthy squatter from their property. -
Violent Altercation Erupts at Nightclub, Leaving Several Injured

I hope I live to be 80, too. Err, maybe not if it turns me into a killjoy who would rather clutch his wife's string of pearls than bandy about with butter knives. "Life is either a daring adventure or nothing at all" They say that Helen Keller was hell on wheels with a butterfly knife. -
It's about small, thoughtful gestures and a lot of "what ifs" that make a snake think she's got a sucker. Watch the guy who marries the first hooker (oops "massage girl") he meets and mimic his behaviour. Crawl into his simpish mind and pull off a Brando or Sir Larry Olivier performance. Impress her friends by paying for all of them; just make sure you do it at the som tam cart and not at a restaurant. Oh, and be certain to negotiate with the som tam lady for a group discount ! Get a couple of bottles of Spy cooler and enough straws for the whole gang. The idea of spending 100 baht to watch her do freaky things is the wrong approach. She must be coaxed out of her shell by dreams of houses, Fortuners, and many gold trinkets so that she can shower Somchai the Taxi Guy with farang money that he rightly deserves but lacks the while to acquire. Most important of all is to have fun with it. The woman who throws around her pussy has lost nothing, nor has the big spender who splurges at the som tam cart. In the end, both will move on to greener pastures and be none the worse for having shared a few nights of passion.

Try fasting in solitude for a week. You'd be amazed at what kind of things crawl up from the ooze of the past to be examined and reconciled.

How much on booze and hoes? The other line items are too pedestrian to bother with.

Half of new HIV infections in Thailand among 15-24 year olds

You omitted "sharing a needle with a Haitian refugee " but, yes, bareback sodomy nears the top of the list. -
I hope that your post is genuine and not a troll. It's nice to hear from people who have done well and can now enjoy the fruits of their labour (or inheritance). Hedonic creep dictates that you'll live a similar life to someone on half of that income, just with better versions of the same. The place you rent will be nicer, your women will be younger and prettier, you'll drink better booze and eat better food. The trouble starts if you go full on Caligula and increase your intake of those pleasurable consumables.

Thank you for all of the responses. I've decided not to tread the path laid out in the original post. I have no moral issues with "playing the player", it's just a waste of energy with a set of predictable and undesirable outcomes. Feel free to carry on with calling me "rotten" and "despicable". It reminds me of a time, not long ago, when all and sundry lined up to be part of a grand experiment and I declined to take part.

This is a gold star response. Thank you for taking the time and giving a well thought out reply. Despite my original post I can appreciate people who consciously become a team and support each other whilst building a meaningful life together. "she said, 'No. You will take care of me.' She was sure." This is it. She trusted that you wouldn't break troth with her, and you didn't.

With a woman who has a primary school education and no concept of geography, history, philosophy, or anything else one would discuss with a wife? Please do enlighten me. I've seen plenty of lonely geezers yammering away to Thai women about subjects that have no meaning or relevance to the lady. It always makes me think "what a despicable man to put her through that like a trained seal, just so she can collect her 10k baht "allowance"( plus room and board) in exchange for cooking and light cleaning duties". I can understand that geezers get lonely and want companionship, but at what price? Thai women can be fun, light hearted and (at times) easy going companions. At what level do you communicate and relate to each other though?

r/canada is a sub reddit on the Reddit platform which has swung from the left to the right. Canada as a country has a long way to go to correct its course. I agree with your sentiments, but those numbers are low. Add immigrants to temporary foreign workers + foreign students and it comes to well over a million people. You're looking at it from the wrong side of the equation. To the owners, who speak through their various puppets, diversity is their strength because it can be used to divide a non homogeneous group of people and turn them against each other, which creates a wonderful subterfuge under which they can continue to plunder the country and gain control over every aspect of our lives.

I took early retirement a couple of years ago and came over to Thailand last September when my kind was allowed to leave Canada again. Vancouver is more gorgeous than it was 20 years ago but has big city problems now. My friends and I agree that it no longer feels like the place we grew up in, and many have left.
