  1. Use this regularly (HSBC HK to BKK Bank). Transfer currency is HKD. Under instruction to receiving bank ask them (BKK Bank) to change to Thai baht and they will do it. Normally takes less than 24 hours.

For larger amounts BKK Bank will usually call you to confirm converting to Thai Baht and if you are really lucky they will give you a slightly better exchange rate.

As I said, there is a lack of clarity re required duration. But people have reported being able to enter with just 30 day insurance despite re entry permits or visas that allowed much longer stays.

You are right about lack of clarity for sure. Not only from the Government. TGIA only offers 30 day coverage, but says quite clearly *The insurance must cover the whole duration of stay in Thailand.

This only adds to the confusion for long term visa/extension holders.

im not in pattaya but here in bangkok any auto key shop will do that for 100-500 baht. The shops change car key bat and so on. Not the ones in shopping malls under the stairs.

I had mine done there about 6 months ago. 450 baht.

While it is totally unclear what is required to be in the  insurance certificate (or for that matter what then policy must cover), I am nto seeing many accounts of people being rejected because of wording of their insurance certificate.

For AXA, I recently obtained TP for a relative using a one pager provided by AXA. See below:

And I just got one for myself using a one pager provided by my regular health insurer as per below (says $100k as I had previously used it for a COE):

Thanks Sheryl.  That is very informative and useful. A picture paints a thousand words.

I note that the AXA certificate does not specifically mention Covid.  This was causing problems in the early stages of Thailand Pass. It seems that is now a thing of the past.

I'm just the opposite, my wife and I had a joint account with SCB and because it was a joint account we couldn't use their app. I wasn't happy with that so I opened a single account with BB and I'm happy with them.

There we are then. BBL is superior. Wife and I have joint account and I use  the app regularly with no problems.

As at 11.00 h UTC, the website of CAAT still has this update of 4 November 2021 on its website. If the rumour about the change to an ATK test is true, they will probably update that web page on 4 December.

The guideline says "COVID-19 Health Insurance with minimum coverage of USD 50,000"

Is that Covid Insurance or health insurance that includes Covid cover?

  8. A quote from Thailand Pass FAQ (the emphasis is mine)

"Does my insurance have to be a COVID-19 insurance in order to register with Thailand Pass?

    - No. You can ALSO use general insurance or health insurance with a minimum coverage of 50,000 USD."

    https://www.mfa.go.th/en/content/thailand-pass-faqs

The use of the word "also" implies that COVID 19 insurance is acceptable, but other insurance can be used as well. Otherwise it would say general insurance or health insurance which also cover COVID 19 must be used.

Does anyone have direct experience of using COVID 19 only insurance and it being accepted by Thailand Pass?

IF the ‘vaccine upload section’ has not changed... there are 4 parts to upload from your Vaccines.

1a) 1st Dose (Vaccine Certificate from 1st vaccine shot / my vaccine cert is the same cert for all shots so I just uploaded that).

1b) Cropped QR Code (from vaccine cert)

2a) 2nd Dose  (Vaccine Certificate from 2nd vaccine shot / my vaccine cert is the same cert for all shots so I just uploaded the same vaccine certificate again)

2b) Cropped QR Code (from vaccine cert - same one again)

[I think some countries (i.e. in Europe) issued an individual vaccine cert with each shot, this is why there are two sections - IF you have one vaccine cert for both shots, upload the same one twice and the same QR code twice]

    Thanks for that.  Helpful.

Is it necessary to upload both certificate and QR Code?
