  1. I think you will find they already know! Tanks engines on, armoury door open and me standing too!!!!. When another election is stolen or military takeovers then I believe we will witness a dramatic end to thailand as the final foreign invertments leave..
  2. Always gone on in Thailand. I know a Thai/Chinese business man who never goes out without police escorts/bodyguards. The 6000 sounds about right from what I was told. Some people on here need to get their filthy minds out of the gutter, either they are racist or full of self hate (isn'tit a fact that 90% of sex work is for Thai only (the top shelf)?). Not every one who goes to Thailand is there for sex (sex can be purchased any where in the world). This attitude about taking advantage of Thai's OMG I know quite a few men who have been fleeced for everything they have (not only a Thai occupation). Such judgmental people on here maybe the term "get a life" would be a good idea!!!
  3. When we lived in Thailand one of the first things I had to purchase for my sanity was a generator. The same power box a hundred meters from our house would blow when it rained or I think anyone dared look at it (almost weekly). Best purchase ever. Family would ask 'how much' but after 8 years we were the only lights on in the village, only tv etc, an island of light in the darkness.
  4. Unbelievable statement! Please give examples! However, in China female babies were dumped/killed, this also happened in other Asian countries and is well recorded historically. Didnt the Spartan's do this with weak babies? Or was that just a movie...?....
  5. I don't normally do this but I see this in the uk well I mean couples sitting in restraurants playing on their phones and not making eye contact or talking. The bitterness about older men with young wives or girlfriends is shocking on here. Thai women look at love differently than western women. Being loved, loyalty, and respected are top of their list, money is further down that priority list. In any country any woman who looks at the size of a man's bank balance are always bad news and often have an eye always open for better pickings and this is not just a thai thing.
  6. Well things must be very bad and probably far worse than the statement implies!
  7. Sorry but this goes on all over Thailand especially at village level. Example: a rich 45 year old Thai business man was supposed to marry a 15/16 year old girl and paid the dowrie and lavished the parents and girl with gifts. Prior to the wedding she ran away (I wonder why) the old man turned up with the police demanding return of all his money or to marry the girls younger sister who was not even 15. It has always been a big problem in Thailand and it includes selling/borrowing money on their children and karaoke bars are rife for this.
  8. This smells of desperation or maybe a new pastime activity for Thai teachers?
  9. If you think 3% is less than peanuts you must be a very wealthy person considering the UK runs (in some calculations) 4th/5th strongest military in the world on 2% of its GDP (even have submarines with engine and aircraft carriers with aircraft) and quite often less. Tourism and its importance in brining in foreign currency as do expats which the country desperately needs (you see this nearly every day with bogus exaggerated figures TAT produce nearly every day). There is a core in these figures of friends and family who visit the expats in Thailand.
  10. Yep you know your old and past it when you become a "Handsom Man" in Thailand. Lol
  11. And here we have it again! What a nasty statement when so many Thai's start and own businesses and own land and property in other countries. So many foreigners do leave as did their businesses in 2014-16. Just wait and see how many big foreign businesses who have already got their ducks in a row to pull out when the next election is rigged and an unelected PM is put back in office.
  12. I do not like the Bib but I can not see anything wrong with this at all. However if they had been in uniform or working then it would be different.
  13. Personally never noticed anyone regretting leaving Thailand but did read a few say they were not going back to Thailand again. My family and left just before covid 2019 and no one in the family wants to move back to Thailand except for holidays to see family and friends.
  14. Or was it a cloaked threat!!!
  15. I think the underlying fact is even surgical masks are incapable of stopping a virus and the fact that masks are worn to stop droplets being transmitted. There are several medical peer reviewed papers on masks pre covid comparing a mask trying to stop a virus is like a chain link fence stopping a mosquito....
  16. I have zero issues regarding anything and am well aware of distance. Having had a home improvement business an outside door on a house and not the entrance to a hotel which is normally far taller and wider making it well over 2m tall. Then you have the fact that in Thailand ceilings in Thailand are much higher this would account for the 3rd floor being over 12m and quite possibly 15m from the ground level road pavement. remember the 1m rail she would have had to fall over. Then there is always the fact of Thai inches and western inches then men inches and womens inches.... Regardless its a long way down!!!
  17. NO! You have never been immune after the jags and you still pass it on if you have had the jag or top up jags! This was made public last year 10th October, 2022; "Janine Small, president of international markets at Pfizer told the EU Parliament that Pfizer had never carried out any transmission tests after vaccine (the phrase "The Speed Of Science" was born) and turns out they never did which just goes to show never listen to politicians or media because that is where the narrative was pushed. One just has to look at how many times Biden has had covid. My wife has had all the vax going before she had to stop working due to health (can't say what caused her health deterioration) got covid after vax 4 and even though her symptoms were that of a cold I obviously got it after 2 vax (about 12 month prior) and my symptoms lasted minutes. Both my children had no symptoms and never vaxed.
  18. If its the second floor ie the top floor then I think it is definitely close to 60ft or 20m. Plus so many nasty comments on here and the bottom line is no one is forced to donate. Comments about her appearance OMG! She is a very bonny girl and not many posters on here could have been that lucky in their youth...
  19. Looks like brown envelope negotiating is required and I bet they will have to be really thick.
  20. While I agree 100% with what you said I would point out that the reaction if you said similar about an idiot kneeling in the road and then getting hit by a car the reaction would have been biblical... aren't people strange.
  21. That's a bit perverse as what I assume was ment is it's the go to lie for some woman when they find themselves in a precarious situation (women can be the abusers often are). Well if beating her was a conclusion of loosing then he must have obviously had one win 5 years ago......
  22. There were many reasons he was involved in the coup and anti corruption was not one. Self preservation was very key as there were some answers to give to the order to murder unarmed people and to silence a very brave witness.
  23. I've not seen the video but from the photo and the fact she was turning into the barrier it looks like he was very much in her blind spot. Try sitting in a car and take a short stick of about 15/20 inches stick it in the ground then drive and stop when you don't see it and I'm sure you will find it's about 1.5 to 2 metres from the car thus meaning that's your blind spot. You would be surprised at how many blind spots you have around your vehicle and even motorbikes have blind spots. Also thai roads aren't the smoothest.
