That was more of a love tap than anything else. He probably talked back to her. Nothing wrong with this type of discipline. The kid wasn't hurt in any way other than maybe being embarrassed in front of the rest of the class. I went to a Catholic grade school and the nuns/teachers would crack you across the hands with a metal ruler if you acted up. Needless to say, everyone was well behaved. Sometimes kids need a little discipline.

China Officially Allows Group Tours to Resume to Thailand
HuskerDo2 replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
Interesting. The Chinese govt restricted travel to/from China when Covid was high around the world. Now, most of the world has recovered for the most-part yet the virus still rages in China. Even still, China drops a travel restriction thus allowing their infected people to travel and reinfect the rest of the world for a 2nd time. Too bad the Chinese govt can't be held accountable for allowing Covid to begin in the first place.- 73 replies

Opposition parties call for an end to mandatory conscription
HuskerDo2 replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Their military is a joke. All branches. They couldn't stop an attack from a group of angry grandmothers let alone another attacking country. They don't have the skills(or heart) to defend the country no matter how much training they receive. Scrub all military and go neutral like Costa Rica. Such a waste of time and money. -

Imaging if these incredibly intelligent and creative criminals would channel their energies towards things that would make the world a better place. Just not these criminals but all criminals. The world would be such a better place. Pipe dreaming. Too many people out there that are to lazy to work and would rather use their time stealing from hard working folks. As far as the Thai banking system...... it's lacking an awful lot just like the RTP and govt officials that can't seem to make common sense decisions.

Russian Man Wreaks Havoc at 7-11 in Pattaya’s Walking Street

I say hi to him every time I see him and I see no reason to insult him by congratulating him in the fashion you suggest. -
Russian Man Wreaks Havoc at 7-11 in Pattaya’s Walking Street
HuskerDo2 replied to webfact's topic in Pattaya News
"When was the last time you saw a Russian smiling, or even being pleasant?".... just yesterday. I have a Russian neighbor named Yuri who is a delight to talk to. Always a big smile on his face. -
"I was once on a biking tour in Europe, and there was one man who blatantly fit the bill: He had an unusual beard and huge white teeth, he was extremely friendly and a bit loud, and he literally carried a jar of peanut butter with him (he said that it was the most efficient way to fuel up for his exercise)."....... Sounds like Bill Walton was on the tour.

So you're saying Russians are related to the Chinese? -
Russian Man Wreaks Havoc at 7-11 in Pattaya’s Walking Street

That's a novel idea. Prostitutes at the 7-11. It IS a convenience store after all. Just put them in the back of the store next to the condoms. 7-11 will make a fortune. -
New shingles vaccine Skyzoster available in Thailand
HuskerDo2 replied to Arkady's topic in Health and Medicine
Stick with the big pharma companies that have rigorous testing and procedures and decades of experience (Pfizer, Moderna, J&J). Other newbie companies with low standards will likely cause you more problems than benefits with their so-called vaccines. They can only truly be called vaccines IF they work. Zostavax appears to fail in this regard. -
Rise in Chinese Tourism Boosts Demand for Face Masks
HuskerDo2 replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
This has nothing to do with Covid transmission. The real reason is that no one wants to look at all the ugly Chinese so having them cover their faces is the goal. -
251 Thai children went missing from home last year
HuskerDo2 replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
I wonder where they get their stats from. Unless all of the children were recovered there is little way for them to know the cause of the kids leaving home. More useless info from the authorities? -
Probably not. Why would a farmer want to wear an expensive Rolex every day where it can get dirty and scratched as he didn't sit in an office. He had no one to "impress" out in the field. I'm sure he took the money he would have "wasted" on the Rolex and invested it in the stock market which would have allowed him to buy 5 Rolexes when he retired.
-
Why people have such expensive jewelry and watches amazes me. My uncle was a very wealthy farmer and only had a cheap Timex watch. He said he'd wear it for a few years and when it stopped working he'd buy another of the same. This is a guy who could have afforded a Rolex but had too much common sense for that. Why have expensive things that don't do anything better than a far cheaper item. If a Rolex breaks you spend a great deal of money to have it fixed. If a Timex breaks you toss it out and buy another for $50. They both do the same thing. I guess "status" and looking cool to some is more important.

"Need to stay 3 days in Malaysia" scam
HuskerDo2 replied to JoseThailand's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
A scam in Thailand involving authorities at the border crossing? Shocking... not really!! Pretty much expected. -
Probably a bargirl's head banging against the headboard of the bed.

Ever wondered which countriy is the most peaceful ?
HuskerDo2 replied to Social Media's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
I said "The most peaceful countries are those that have strict rules as to who can enter and live there". I didn't say "a place run by an insane tyrant who allows no one to leave the country and suppresses the entire population". -
So it's safe to assume where you won't be spending your holidays. Sounds like a lovely place. Not sure why you stayed so long. After day 1 I would have been gone.

The most peaceful countries are those that have strict rules as to who can enter and live there. They don't let just anyone in and don't have open borders.
