Considering installing Solar.
TimeMachine replied to PR3's topic in Alternative/Renewable Energy Forum
I'm ready to purchase 10 x solar panels with delivery to Udon Thani Nam Som area. Any wattage from 250 to 400 watt is ok. I'll be there on 20th May. Anybody know of where I can get some. Preferably second hand at discount rate. I don't need anything else and would like cash on delivery without a deposit as too many scammers ruining it for the decent businesses. I've seen a few Facebook market place ads but no deal yet. It really seems like the government is doing the opposite of helping solar but stifling it. Why are these so hard to come by at reasonable monies. Aren't there any companies shipping container loads for the benefit of the planet? Thanks for any recommendations. -
Thailand and Russia will hold high level talks later this month
TimeMachine replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Time to sell up and ship out. Once war starts with China, things will become difficult for falang in Thailand. I'd like to say I'd rather see peace be the winner and I think the Chinese are wonderful and China an amazing place. -
Prime Minister faces questions about energy costs
TimeMachine replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
The first step is to ensure solar energy is taken advantage of. Some countries do it better than others. I can only think of three reasons why the government does not use the people's taxes to install home solar at reduced prices. The first two are, Laziness and money fright. The third I'd rather not say out loud. Solar doesn't solve every problem, but if you can't get the solar sorted correctly then all else is gonna be impossible too. Laying a few solar farms around the place doesn't cut it. A lot more should be done. -
Just drop it off to me. I'll make sure it doesn't get thrown into the tip heap. Saving the world one device at a time.

If you do open it, the dangers that people talk about are 1. The big silvery capacitor that can hold lethal charge. Get a plastic handle pair of pliers and short out the two pins. This will make it safe for touching. In actuality they include a bleed resistor and should discharge themselves but apparently they fail. 2. Magnatron is dangerous because of the berylium inside of it. The berylium is hard to get to and if it's cracked and powdered up that's when it becomes dangerous. So all in all, like most things , if you use reasoning when watching several YouTube videos you will be fine. Ask your neighbour a question. Do I reason well? If the answer is no then leave it alone. I'm in Pattaya if you need more advice on a repair. I hate throwing stuff out too. First things I suspect is one of the microswitches that work with door latches. They need to be tested one at a time and tested normally open and normally closed both ways. Also the alignment of them. Plastics warp and bend over time.

Want to buy an inverter that handles solar panel input without the need for batteries to be connected. Looking at hooking up 10 panels to 5.5kw inverter. I'm deciding between two sold on Lazada by powmr. The grey orange version and the blue white version. Anybody has either? And have you tried running without batteries? Cheers.

Unfortunately , the act of sueing and reimbursement for harm done is only for the lucky selected few. I am one of the unlucky ones too. Obviously you should fight for what you are due but be prepared for not even an apology. I apologize on behalf of humanity. Most importantly I hope recovery is quick and thorough and life affords you the utmost happiness in the future.

Thanks. The efficiency of stuff doesn't concern me because 20% less of zero is still zero. Sun is free..... For the moment. Taxes coming soon. They started in Oz already.

I'm just about ready to purchase 6 panels. From what I can tell if you get 1 watt for 10 baht that's ok. happy to use used panels too but people are asking same as new almost. Looking to get this. https://s.lazada.co.th/s.8Ptec Can string the 6 panels in series. Not the most reliable brand but it's cheap. Hope to run a small inverter ac. I'll wait to get to Udon thani Namsom where install location is, and see what the market is like there for solar panels.

Thanks. That sounds better. At the world cup soccer was 18$au I think. Guess I had my leg pulled. Maybe the 50 bucks was for a shoey out of some old ladies shoe.

Someone told me a beer at Australian GP was 50$au. Now that's what I call an overcharge.

Having a set of your own gauges is worthwhile. It's not hard at all to connect and get an idea of problems. Refill canisters on Lazada. You tube will guide you. -
Yeah. I'm guessing fish was the popular dish back then at cave cafes

Fair comments. I'm a strong believer that in caveman days the diet most likely was meats, veg and fruit. While fruit is high in carbs I'm betting the diet was focused on meat as fruit may not have been available in some places and some times of the year. Things like wheat seem to be an economic enforcement rather than something that happened through natural selection of humanity. If there was a parent that brought their child up on extreme low carb diet, I'm guessing they would have a super clean and strong body into adulthood. I don't have kids. Anybody wish to offer their newly born kids up for this experiment. I've done years on zero carb and can't think it's done any damage to my body. There is no workshop manual to our bodies and we can only make our own choices. Some choose to smoke and drink because it gives them pleasure. I choose low carb so I can feel better that way. There is also genetic makeup. Some people can gobble down carbs and not put on weight, but they may also feel even healthier on low carb. I dunno, it's all a mystery. Enjoy your food, whatever you munch on tonight

In Australia too, the government used to control and backup the rules well, but now everyone is allowed to do whatever. Within reason of course. If you are a single entity you have very little chance of fighting for what you think should be. How on earth has it come to this. SORRY SIR, NO BANK ACCOUNT FOR YOU. -

I think if you go into Krungsri Pattaya Klang near foodland and tell them you need an account to transfer money for condo purchase you have a good chance. Tell em Dave sent you. -
I've tried near zero carb keto diet always making sure I was in ketosis with test and along with exercise. I felt the best. Problem is sticking with keto is hard due to the expense and inconvenience. How many keto cafes are out there. Zero. It's all wheat and sugar because that's where the money is. Have to be a full time cook if you want to be serious about low carb. There's also the addictiveness of sugars and other additives put together with that evil weed wheat.

Somsak Denies Jail Term Privileges Prepared For Homecoming Thaksin
TimeMachine replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
I'm just wondering being out of Thailand could be time construed as time spent in prison.
