  1. I've always wondered why foreigners are allowed to work without permits there selling ice cream and whatever. And the idea that Russian ladies can dance their booty and get jiggy with it, but foreign teachers must jump hoops or are rejected is a bit hard to nibble on. Oh well. Can't complain too much I guess.
  2. I have sent an email ,Thai and English, to Pattaya court. Asking for probate process and approved translation service recommendation. See if I get a reply...
  3. Australian embassy is pretty poor when it comes down to helping their citizens. My own personal example and I hear others. I thought embassies were supposed to act in the interests of their own. But they offer limited services and avoid any responsibilities. There is no recall. Much like police, military, customs, immigration. They have no one above them. you get what you get. I'm an advocate for a non profit private company to run as Australia's new embassy, run by the people, for the people. First order of Business. Free JA.
  4. Yeah. I should do the translation ahead of time. Any recommendations. On who and fair cost?
  5. I received some female pleasure gel. 2 seperate packages. I didn't order. I messaged the seller and no response. Strange things happen in the universe and are best left unanswered.
  6. My research into this topic has led me to adopt a plan of getting all of my assets out of Thailand the closer I come to death. Government and non government offices I visited were not helpful at all and didn't seem interested to help. I can envisage many having headaches over this. What I've done anyway is have a Will written in English as a minimum and left with my partner with video evidence of my wishes even though not admissible just in a case some evil scavengers try anything. I can only imagine a registered lawyer will be able to help my partner present to the court for the all important probate docs to transfer real-estate or cash. I guess I'll be not able to stress about it after I'm dead. So that's one good thing. Shame on society for not making this easier. Death is hard enough for society. Have a nice day all.
  7. Does that mean more farmers, Power in numbers. If four farmers join together nothing will happen. If millions join together then what would happen. I don't think they would agree things are good for them as is the telephone companies. What is it that exactly stops farmers from joining together? Trust? Laziness? Lack of knowledge or drive? I'm not sure.
  8. First step. Check usage, cost, and workout payback period. Think you'll find a 20 year payback period for an average 5kw ish system. It's just not worth it. I installed one small system that has no batteries. Just works during sunshine. Used a hivolt inverter(4kbht) that takes the 10 panel (45kbht) 400 v and uses that to go to 240ac. My decision wasn't based on saving money but just as a one time hobby project in Thailand for my partners mother. It's enough to run fridge TV AC fans rice cooker during sun times. Reverts to street power at night via a mixing board. I would not recommend solar for any other reason than just because of hobbying with electronics. Solar systems are too expensive in Thailand. There is no government support worth mentioning about. You are just adding more equipment that can fail. The pro of saving money is just not there. Sure it sounds cool and all but not worth it money wise. But for a hobby and interests sake. Go for it. And Of course if no street power at your area then you have no choice but to do it.
  9. I find it quite bizarre that essential telephone companies can or rather are allowed to make a massive profit. Yet a food making and selling company selling an essential struggles. What would happen if all farmers established their own union? Some groups are just better at organising their standing position I guess. I've visited Udon, and saw it as a ruff choice to be a farmer in Thailand.
  10. Picnic time. Although , I will be amazed if violence doesn't become stronger than ever before. I hope the police and military realise it's time. Kill all the people then there will be no people to rule over. So might as well lay down weapons and join the people. But if there are good tik tok videos at the time there may not be enough people to demand enough.
  11. Good advice. Best to know the exact fault completely. Could be a silly situation whereby a dirty contact on a breaker or reading the wrong breaker number trolled the previous electrician. Or a miriad of other things. We are all not perfect. Be with the chap who investigates and make sure nobody is using guess work to diagnose and confirms results.
  12. Kratom. Has a mild affect for me. Chewing makes tongue go a bit numb. I have the odd cup of tea in-between my 2 tramadol tablets 3 times a day. Holy Bible, that sxit is addictive!
  13. The use of the word common is hard to twist. A cable that only one person uses or one room uses is not common. There however is the ability for by laws in your condo rules and regulations. Unless there is something over riding the common definition specifically for electrical cables running along the hallway then your only chance is a compassionate manager. As it is in most places, what happens and is decided on one day and with who can vary dramatically. Probably be nice and ask for a compromise. Pay half each maybe would be a good outcome for a home owner.
  14. In Oz a small town an hour outside of Melbourne the yearly tax (called rates) is about 60k baht. But that includes garbage collection . bONUS!
  15. I can't see anything common about the cable. If it's a cable only going to your room, (nobody else is using it.) which it should be then it's your cable and your responsibility after the meter. Just because it's location is in common area doesn't automatically make it common to all rooms. Same with water pipes. After meter , it's all user/owner pays. You could argue that common area walls have moved and that caused the damage to the cable, but that's a stretch and not likely to be proven. Btw old breakers in my room where not opening at higher currents. While you are at it replace all xx year old breakers. I installed safety breakers too in room.
  16. Exactly, whereby he can gather support from everyone. The sane ones anyway.
  17. Vax seems to have saved his life 3 times. I'm all for Vax but not forced Vax. Forced meaning , if you don't do what we say then you can't have any cake.
  18. Actually, fight fire with fire. If you played your stereo full at 2am to make a point.
  19. Great, but more can be done. Once every few months I see a lone person sweeping around the streets in Pattaya. The sewerage thing is a step forward but a lot more could be done. There doesn't seem much interest in community projects any more. People for people sort of thing. You get the odd parade and music festival I suppose. last one a group was giving away food. It made me think heart is still beating.
  20. I recommend one proactive item. Get police to escort prisoners into the streets for cleanup projects. Pay the prisoners and re introduce good will back into society. Haha. I can dream. What do city planners do all day?
  21. Agree. There is a show called black mirror and I feel an episode is coming where the Internet is simply turned off. I think the people who introduced this www knew exactly what they were doing.
  22. Assuming they eat rats and don't need to be fed. I'm wondering if cats are like humans and new generations just want to sleep and be fed and don't want to work.
  23. Yeah, helps me . On planes too. I have some funny dreaming as a side. Almost had sex with a big boobed MILF last sleep but unfortunately woke up before the action started.
