  1. yeah, but maybe he was too deep for you. doesn't mean he was a nutcase.
  2. my post was a joke. was freud a nutcase? maybe he was a genius. he was the person who first discovered "the subconscious mind." is it provable scientifically? is it bs? I'm not sure, but just because it isn't provable scientifically doesn't mean it's bs.
  3. I think we need to reference Freud to understand this: In the young boy, the Oedipus complex or more correctly, conflict, arises because the boy develops unconscious sexual (pleasurable) desires for his mother.
  4. yes, true. i'm a bit lazy for slow cookers. also, slow cooked meats have health benefits. i think they may be high in collagen. enjoy if you have the time and patience to cook "old school", a lost art in modern society.
  5. you life didn't work out in thailand. now you're on here posting anything negative you can think of to poison everyone else's mind about thailand. goldmember was thai, right?
  6. you're not allowed to quote yourself and have a conversation with yourself. this isn't a mickey mouse forum.
  7. haha, they stole a pair of old sneakers.
  8. I think they might be from British Columbia in Canada.
  9. seriously? what difference would it make when a theft takes place?
  10. there's a distinction between nighttime theft and mid-morning theft?
  11. you're pushing your luck. it's not just sugar that's the problem. pastries have crappy seed oils. ice cream has high fructose corn syrup. co-founder of ben & jerry's had a quintuple by-pass.
  12. My apologies. I made a flippant remark about a complex issue. That's one of my foibles sometimes I guess. I'm staying out of this debate. I haven't been following the (alleged) adverse effects of the vaccine.
  13. exactly! so they can jack up your health insurance premiums.
  14. I would like to suggest that this is overkill. Perhaps it can even be considerd Obessive Compulsive Disorder. Some meats like lamb and tough cuts of beef may need to be slow cooked for hours to make the meat tender. But the sauces do not need to be simmered for hours. Sorry you didn't get that memo sooner. All those hours wasted in the kitchen.
  15. I don't remember the brand name of the jars I tried. It doesn't take hours to make from scratch. Maybe little old grandmas in India let it simmer for hours for the spices to reach their full potential ..... not sure. But a good butter chicken doesn't take hours. Maybe I will make it at some point and post pictures. But you can find tons of recipes online these days.
  16. we're not living in 1950. you can help your wife clean up in the kitchen. i've made butter chicken from scratch with spices. it's not that hard. those prepared jars taste like crap to me.
  17. not too healthy to be sitting that many hours a day
  18. spend more time on the toilet seat to preserve your chair.
  19. landlords all over the world have access to apartments. are there security cameras showing who is coming in the building? put private stuff in locked suitcases.
  20. mathematically, if you meet up with 10 strangers ... maybe 1 or 2 might become friends. maybe a few won't particularly like you very much / vice versa. maybe 1 or 2 might turn into frienemies / false friends. have fun, kids.
  21. OP, you started a thread on minimalism, right? I have been experimenting with minimalist furniture in my place. Minimalist furniture will give you more space. Do you really need massive sofas which take up so much space in the living room? Have you ever considered getting big floor cushions instead? It gives the place a "bohemian look". And then you can move the big floor cushions out of the way when you are not watching TV and plop down some yoga mats and turn the living room into a yoga studio. Do you need a giant screen TV and massive wall unit for the TV? You can try buying a movie projector. Will take up way less space. It's not for everyone. But if you are willing to experiment with the types of furniture, you can save a lot of space and you won't need to pay for such a large space.
