  1. joke. i wasnt here 20 years ago.
  2. no, trawling the internet is better because I want to see the person behind the information and decide if the person is reasonably trustworthy based on all the content on his site, not just one article. info from chatgpt comes in a vacuum. you don't know where it's coming from. and most of it can not be trusted as with complex issues, there are multiple facets and conflicting information.
  3. did you notice the forum going downhill?
  4. He did educate himself. He studied under the tutelage of Stephen Pinker and Noam Chomsky. Stupid incomprehensible posts notwithstanding.
  5. cool short film ... check it out.
  6. andrew huberman is a scientist (neuroscientist at stanford) and admits that he meditates and prays and believes in god. also, he said the head of neuroscience at stanford also did. he says "if we don't believe in something bigger than ourselves, we at some level will self-destruct."
  7. I haven't read any of his books. If you have read his work AND you think sth he says benefits the general public, please feel free to summarize it succinctly.
  8. Your fixation on this one particular individual is stupid. There's a lot of intelligent people in the world. No need to fixate obsessively and incessantly like a groupie on Chomsky.
  9. you were being hostile towards lacessit. especially given that he has been your most loyal follower ... he's been in all your threads giving his viewpoints ... you're out of line.

  13. I did a bit of research on that ... both are bad for the environment it seems, so they're coming up with new ways. there is actually a "green funeral company" in the UK. https://www.thegreenfuneralcompany.co.uk https://www.theguardian.com/lifeandstyle/2019/jul/09/greener-way-to-go-eco-friendly-way-dispose-of-body-burial-cremation Burial uses too much land; cremation releases too much CO2. So what about composting our loved ones – or even dissolving them?
  14. no, not everything needs to have a point. good point.
  15. I believe the bugs get into those caskets after 1-2 years.
  16. The fact that it's more sunny is part of it. Also, you're not wearing heavy clothes all the time. But ... the actual sun causes some sort of chemical reaction on the body and increases sex drive. I'll see if I can dig out the science to back this up... hang in there.
  17. the length of this thread appears to be a drawback. new folks coming in curious about the topic will not want to sift through 600 pages.
  18. dont worry. you didnt miss anything.
  19. No, I don't know the specifics. So it was erroneous to assume it's a scam.
  20. I had an Oculus Quest VR headset and they have a boxing game. So basically, you can shadow box with the VR boxer. It was pretty cool and a good workout, but the headsets go for 400USD+
  21. as far as i know, vietnam has no retirement visa option. but someone else on here might know if there is one.
