Based on your posting history, you seem to be agonizing over the decision to move back. And also seems like you are highly impressionable to comments from people on here. Not sure why you are defending Canada's climate. It can be rather harsh. But then again, some people don't like tropical climates either. Healthcare is a major consideration to move back as you won't have to deal with the issues of private healthcare. If you have some money in your pocket, you can fly out of wherever you live a month or two each year and add a bit of excitement to your life.

some people don't mind the cold, but a lot of people from canada do spend their winters in florida. there have been budget low-cost airlines that have popped up during covid. i wonder if the trend in the future is towards lower cost flights. if that's the case, where you call permanent "home" becomes less relevant as you can fly out more cheaply and you don't need to stay trapped in one place all year. In your case, based on your posting history, you shouldn't overthink it. Just move back to Canada and you can fly out of there a month or two each year. Staying in any one place all the time is boring.

It's a hella pain in the butt to download and manage music files and I stopped doing it a while back. All my music is on Youtube playlists, which you can access on any device from anywhere with a Wifi. All you need to do is get into your Youtube account and into your Playlists. If you use Spotify, I can't help you. But for me, there is plenty of music on Youtube, so I don't need Spotify. You don't need an Ipod. You can play the music from Youtube playlist on your phone. Much less hassle. Can't listen to music while going for walks, but I don't care. It's too much hassle to download and transfer to different devices. Sorry if this is not helpful.
