Unlicensed Russian Tour Guide Arrested for Illegally Working in Bangkok
NORDO replied to Georgealbert's topic in Bangkok News
Pretty simple math. More tourist arrivals into Thailand equates to a relative increase in crimes. Every keg has a few bad apples. More apple kegs, more bad apples. -

Always amazed at the arrogance and ignorance of foreign nationals….expats….entering Thailand as a guest. Thailand has its own laws and its own customs. As a guest, u r not allowed to create or modify Thailands laws or customs. Don’t Like it , then leave or don’t come here. -

Thai Worker Causes Mid-Air Panic on Flight from Taiwan to BKK
NORDO replied to Georgealbert's topic in Thailand News
Most modern automated systems began to pressurize when weight is off the wheels. The outflow valves, most commonly on the rear of the cabin bulkhead, will fluctuate from open to closed to provide a cabin pressure between 6 and 8.6 psi, depending on the altitude. Above 8.7-8.9 psi, the pressurization system goes through several safety modes to maintain the pressure below a point of bulkhead failure. Each manufacture of commercial aircraft has slight differences with the same operating concept. Aircraft doors and E-windows that are of the plug type would be extremely, if not impossible, to open at these internal pressures. Exceptions to the plug doors would be the rear air stairs on some aircraft. Examples; some B727 and DC9/MD80s. However, these airstairs had a latching system that would not open with a pressurized cabin. Example: DB Cooper ordered the crew to descend to 10,000 ft and depressurize the aircraft so the air stairs could be opened. Some of the newer aircraft have internal mechanical pins in the window frames that are latched when the aircraft engines are operating above normal ground power settings. Im not real familiar with this system as I retired before this system was used. -

Take a large hammer and bash ur Wiley as hard as u can. The pain will be much less than the pain she will cause u. The statement, "I have some land where u can build a house and we can live", is one of the oldest scams in Thailand. If you are applying for the Darwinism award, this will certainly earn you a dumb Fk coveted entry position. -

British mother’s tourist warning after drugs kill daughter in Thailand

About ten years ago...or so, I ran into a New Years Eve street party near a BKK hotel I was staying in. I shared a table with several Eastern European types. We were laughing and pouring each other drinks. Hour or so later I was feeling ill and stumbled back to my room, or close to it. Hotel staff called ambulance after I fell down stairs that I was trying to negotiate. However, the Med staff never came. So I was loaded in a taxi and rushed off to BKK hospital. I had lost the ability to move my arms, walk upright and slurred incoherently. Two days in hospital with many tests. Toxicology labs indicated a strong sedative in my system. It was several weeks before my functions returned to normal. With luck, liver and kidney functions were normal. SE Asia is the land of opportunists, you can never be sure of what ur getting. -

Young Girlfriend from Udon Thani wants to get married.
NORDO replied to Jerry777's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
Marriage is an archaic concept created to line the coffers of Politicians and Preachers. As well, in Thailand, a payoff to her folks. A marriage certificate only provides an entry, not an exit to the union. In today's World, there is no reason to a marriage. Contract agreements provide much more protection to each side without the financial stigma of an official marriage. -
Two issues come to thought here.... Instead of Penny, if it were a Law enforcement Officer of any jurisdiction, what actions would they have taken to provide public protection? Instead of Penny, if it were another tram rider, would actions would they have taken? At what point would a reasonable citizen ignore the situation before taking action to protect others.

Here is a place for Americans to Apologize to Canadians
NORDO replied to Jingthing's topic in Political Soapbox
Two funny.....I have both passports. I am able to live and work either Country legally. In the last 20-30 years, how many of North America's Canadian citizens relocated to North America's USA to live and work vs the opposite. I personally know of many. Trump, the majority elected him. Im guessing because the Majority doesn't like the current status quo with Domestic and International relationships. -

For me it was the Western Woke culture. Exwife had a great life, did not need to work. Salary and career was great. But blew it all by screaming about the new Woke culture. I had enough. Cashed out early pension and relocated to Asia. Had been here many times previously with my employment. after experiencing the Asia culture of how a lady treats a man, I jumped ship and went to work in SE Asia, sans exwife. I’ve worked all four countries and enjoyed the concept of a man and his castle. However, your lady is not an animal, she expects to treated well and supported for you to enjoy this type of life. every now and then I have a “Round-eye hit up on me. I just tell them that there is no chance in hell that I’ll force myself into their imposed servitude.

‘Wife for hire’: Inside Thailand’s shocking rental marriage trend
NORDO replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
50k thb? I pay 10K week and get many inquiries. Generally every two or three weeks. They are happy, treated well, get to travel with me and clean my house like it’s new. No complaints either side. If it floats, flies or fleeces you, don’t buy it, rent it.
