  1. Funerals are for live people, not dead people. Next to Preachers and Politicians, it is the biggest rip-off in history. You are dead “teats-up”. Why do u care? Have her take you on a one way fishing trip and pocket the THB.
  2. I actually was approached by a condo management personal informing me I must use local house keepers and not my farang girlfriend. Inquiring why, I was told she cannot take work from thais. I asked her if I could indulge in sexual activities with my lady or I use condo association hoes instead, as Thai ladies provide this service. She walked away. No longer an issue.
  3. Humans manage every thing on this planet through eradication except themselves. None of the social immigration issues will change through passive immigration. Paris, Amsterdam, London, Munich, LAX, NYC, ElPaso and so on have failed in these “lets not be brutal” approaches to a problem that continues to worsen and fester. Let Singapore serve as a model to control these issues. Severe punishment with relentless enforcement of existing laws, followed by eradication of those who do not comply. I have ofter heard the comment “severity may harm the innocent”. Open your eyes and look at the innocents that are being harmed and slaughtered everyday because we do not address the issues with the severity requiured. These problems will only continue to expand exponentially and more innocent people will die until the “bleeding heart” libs admit their failure in society. Any and every living thing on this planet will seek control unless it is eradicated.
  4. Concerns regarding tourist safety have been raised by several governments, including Saudi Arabia, which expressed concern over the high incidence of motorcycle accidents among Saudi tourists, particularly those aged between 20 and 35, in Phuket and Pattaya. If these “several governments” are concerned over the high incidence of motorbike incidents among their citizens in Thailand, they might consider the high incidence of stupidity among their citizens when strapping on a machine with excessive horsepower, or camel-power for that matter.
  5. Sin-Sod is a Thai custom. I took my bride on a Las Vegas holiday and married there in 30 minutes. I gave the wife's mother a gold necklace as a gift and explained her daughter agreed to marry in a venue where there is no Sin-Sod custom. May sound a bit scammy, however a few months later the new bride told me that since we are married, all my premarital assets are half hers and she wanted her half in her bank. Short story….married in Las Vegas and divorced in Las Vegas via Zoom link. She got nothing from the judge except an admonishment for her false financial statement. Sin-Sod amounts are based on the lady in question. Age, Education, Virginity, Social Status, as well as other personal valuations. It is supposed to verify to her parents that you are wealthy enough to support her. SO……before you “doll out” a massive Sin-Sod, seriously consider whether it is a long term or short term investment.
  6. Bank transfers are at the hands of the banks. U have little input. I have been using OFX for years, they are better than the Bank to bank fees and tell u up front what the expenses are. However, Wise has quoted some very attractive transfer rates lately. Last transfer was a difference of 5600 thb between OFX and Wise. i have been looking into the Super Rich ATM/ Cash card. Attractive, but only 150,000 thb , however it is rechargeable
  7. Can help locate, repair or just chat about a potential bike purchase. Retired bike shop owner P-bike at asia dot com
  8. As an avid cyclist who owns four different bikes and bikes daily after selling the ex and letting her take the car. Be aware, u get what u pay. Cheap bike, cheap equipment. New bikes will lose 40-60% when u take them out of the shop.. Most new bikes are using lower cost components to be competitive. Many seasonal farang bikers try to sell their bike before they go back their country. There are some good buys there as they are left with little choice as their departure date nears. if your in the CNX area and you need a retired bike engineer and former bike shop owner to inspect a bike for you or even chat about a bike u have located, contact P-bike AT asia.com.
  9. present his Residence Certificate to the competent official…………………………..oxymoron
  10. American male. Which of the 37 Countries in the Americas was he from?
  11. Just as long as he doesn't honk his horn at a motorcade.
  12. I have ridden my bike both ways VTE to Udon and back. Ship your bike from Bang Sue to Udon or Nong Khai. Do yourself a favor and print the Lao immigration visa form, fill it out, paste a photo on it and have 40 USD , or same in THB or Euro. I have ridden the bike through the motorbike lanes both sides. Might need to park the bike with motorbikes and clear as they do. Never had an issue.
  13. Yep, Stu at Mong Bikes. Mong ran off and he closed the shop. He is still in CNX. Not really in the bike business anymore, but has many local connections. He does excellent work, but wont scab something together for a cheap charlie. Either done top-notch to his standards or wont take it on. I store my touring bike there and he maintains it. Has expat bikers stop in on their tours. But he WILL NOT scab things together. Done right or not at all. Most of all, he is straight up, won’t hose you over. Stuart Smith on FB.

  15. As a retired flight deck member, I’ve often wondered why the airline doesn’t restrict the size of a pax or crew member to a size that can readily negotiate an evac through the smallest emergency exit. This would also correlate to weight in some, but not all cases. Imagine an accelerated evac procedure with screaming and yelling people in a very dimly light cabin trying to make it out the wing exit window. Some windows are of the plug type and must be pulled inward, turned and shoved outward. Some you just drop on the floor and crawl over. The newer aircraft actually use a gull wing design that un locks several door pins and allows the window open outward and up. Now imagine you are the fourth or fifth person trying to get out the window when an oversized person can not fit through it and it plugging up the exit. Average passenger weights have bee used by carriers for a long time. Their are many variables due human physical sizes from different geographical areas. As well, winter clothing and tropical clothing. Carry-ons are another issue. Iv’e often thought the carriers should charge by the Kg per KM concept as in frieght.
  16. I’ve been to five other Dental facilities in Thailand with unpleasant to extremely horrible results. After a very expensive hose job last year with a piano dentist, I returned to BKK dental hospital with pleasant results. I have been going there for ten years, thought Id try others to see if less expensive. That was big and expensive mistake. Went back to BKK dental to fix the mess Piano man made.
  17. For Apple stuff Houk and Bank now relocated to MBK
  18. But misuse of a Public vehicle will net you 50 years.
  19. I’ve gone to six dentists in Thailand. Ran into several scams. But the ten years I've been going to BKK dental hospital, Ive been very pleased. However, granted, there are several scams that seem to key in on how much they can scam from you for the least amount of dental work.
  20. I went Mai Sae to BKK to Chumphon, then over to west side down to Krabi and Trang, thence in and out of coastal towns on the west side to Malay border. I've drive from ST south through NST to Hat Yai. I thought much more traffic there. Fellow on u-tube called "bike 360”, has got several videos of his southern biking trips. I ran into him in Krabi. We had a few beers and chatted. Interesting chap.
  21. Hope they are not planning to do it with the Suk Jets that Andre’ scammed them on. AerMex grounded all theirs long time ago.
  22. Please note: Many require deposits and some up to several months in advance. Depends on the rental term. Not uncommon to find these amounts are not recoverable. Varies much. Just be aware.
