I'm very happy you don't suffer symptoms. I thought I had at least pre-diabetes awhile back and I found that one of the world's most renowed specialist on diabetes had a theory that fat accumulation in the liver and then more fat bleeding over into the pancreas is the cause of most Type-2 Diabetes. He had a great success with a trial(Newcastle University Study) that put diabetics on a calorie reduced diet where they lost a significant amount of fat over 2 months. People can be quite thin but still have a fatty liver/pancreas. You might be close to your threshold it's possible if you lost just a few pounds your numbers would be vastly improved.

I went to the Honda Motorbike Dealer today(because my friend was interested in the CBR150). Before I know it I'm hopping on all sorts of bikes and liking what I'm seeing. For once a nice trainee was very helpful, looking up the prices of the 5 or 6 bikes my friend and I were interested in. But man, the ADV in Pearl Smoky Grey slinking in the corner had me from "Hello Handsome". What an irresistible beauty! Welp, before I know it I'm asking how much to order my new infatuation. The ADV slinker in the store is already reserved but the Trainee said 500 baht to order one that will arrive in a month..which I quickly agreed, paid in full shortly thereafter. Then, before I know it the trainee disappears and I'm talking to a more seasoned older Thai salesperson/manager. She was a little difficult to understand, I did understand I need a Passport, TM30, proof of long stay visa..but I think she wants payment full before actually ordering the ADV, which they say will only take a month to arrive. I know This is Thailand. I really don't know the process. Anybody out there know when to pay when ordering a bike? What payment method(I'm assuming check from bank?) Do I pay in full only when it arrives? Thanks!

I don't have AdBlock extension. The only extensions I have are 3 separate download helpers and SurfShark. Hold on I'm going to remove my SurfShark extension to see what happens.

I watch YouTube a lot(via my PC) and I rarely get any commercials. This is great but I don't know why it's happening. I'm logged in via my account but I'm not subscribing to anything YouTube wise. I do get the annoying commercials on my smartphone, which is connected to the same wi-fi router. I'm afraid to upgrade my PC as I don't want the commercials to return. What is going on?

I've been here in Thailand for about a year I'm wondering many of these things as well. I will be signing up during their open season(Nov 12 - Dec 13). I do know you have to pay first, then file a claim. I think there's an app to make filing a claim easier/faster. If a bill is $1,000 you have to pay 25% but there is a YEARLY catastrophic cap of approx $4,000. They constantly mention you have to update your address in DEERS. There is a one time enrollment fee. I think there is a monthly payment but I don't think it's over $100. The below website give pretty good info. I think overall it's a very good deal since the closest "free" emergency room for military retirees is in S. I've been lucky and made a few friends my first year here. There's a couple of guys here I know that don't like me but they are still cordial, and I respect them for this. Back in farangland people are much more unforgiving/hostile. Actually, I'm the #1 enemy of at least 75% of the farangland population back home, because I'm a 58 year old white male. Cheap housing and not having to own a car are HUGE pluses. I love riding a scooter here, it would suck back in farangland. I think Europe is going to be ok for the next 10 years, even though there's the war in Ukraine. I think within those same 10 years millions of U.S. citizens will go to Washington D.C. and tear the government apart, thus ending the United States of America. My last few years in Farangland - 6.5 Farangland from 1975-2005 - 7.5 My one year here in Thailandland - 7 My 4 years in S. Korea - Meh

I got sick 4 days ago. Cold with bronchitis. Thankfully not flu. Worst was yesterday now I'm a lot better but still have a fairly nasty cough. I texted one friend and he said he and his wife have virtually the same thing. I texted another friend and he said a lot of people are sick with the same symptoms all over Thailand.

I've been all around but mainly stayed in Bangkok, Jomtien, and Koh Chang.
