  1. Hopefully Washington will step in and decide that the former pilot should go to the US, but as the pilot arrived in Britain and not the US perhaps that means he doesn't actually want to go to the US.
  2. Hi Britmantoo. Where did you get that info from? The Dairy Global article that bbko posted a link to? If so, I think you have misunderstood what you read. The article does not say that 40% of Thai milk comes from NZ, another 11% from OZ. It says that: "The top 3 leading exporters of dairy products to Thailand are New Zealand (40.6% market share), Australia (11.1%), and the US (6.6%). New Zealand and Australia together make up about 50% of Thailand’s dairy imports and have free trade agreements with Thailand." So, of all the dairy products Thailand imports, 40% comes from New Zealand and 11% comes from Australia, So, 40% and 11% of dairy products imported into Thailand, not of all Thai milk. It does not say what percentage that is of all milk in Thailand. It could be any figure, maybe even zero. Also, the article says "dairy products", not milk. I have seen a lot of New Zealand cheese for sale in Thailand but I have never seen New Zealand or Australian milk.
  3. 65% for me. I recognise 22 of them. I don't recognise 11. I am not sure about the other one.
  4. What a shambles. What an embarrassment for Thailand.
  5. Me too please, Red Pheonix.
  6. Here's s video about them in Thai with some English notes.
  7. I think they are called case worms (หนอนปลอก in Thai). Apparently also called case bearers and bagworms. .
  8. Because the article comes from the British/UK government and was posted on and copied from their website.
  9. I never had any opinion on Elvis, only his music. So nothing has changed for me. Too many suspicious minds these days. ????
  10. That drink did nothing for me.
  11. For cutting the trees down you will need permission, apparently from the Provincial Natural Resources and Environment Office. Read the following articles: https://www.thairath.co.th/news/local/bangkok/985878 https://justicechannel.org/environment/ไม้หวงห้ามประเภท-ก-ตัดอย .
  12. No, not really. Sometimes a little groggy early in the morning but apart from that I feel normal.
  13. The ones I have and have known some Thais to take are Chlorphen. For me, half a tablet is usually enough. I only take them from time to time. Not regularly. They are cheap. If I recall correctly, they only cost 20 baht for 100 tablets.
  14. I assumed the OP was referring to antihistamines with his comment about allergy pills: "Generally the Thais take the little cheap allergy pills and they knock you out for sure But feel rough as guts the next day."
  15. I am shocked, so shocked that I watched the video several times just to be sure how shocked I really am. Many of her other videos are also shocking - on the beach and on the boat, for example. Yes, I checked. Shocked I am. Shocked to the core. So shocked, in fact, I accidentally clicked on the Follow button. Damn. I might not be able to sleep tonight.
  16. If you have a work permit, that can be used instead of a residence certificate.
  17. There are plenty of mangoes around at the moment. Certainly not a dearth. Some mango varieties will fruit all year round (choke anan does I think โชคอนันต์), others just in a particular season. It is probably past the season for some varieties but some mango trees are still fruiting now, for example the maha-chanok (มะม่วงมหาชนก) variety, which I ate a couple of hours ago. .

    Condoms :)

Is 62mm the diameter, the circumference or the length?
  19. It is normal to give fruit as a gift in Thailand. Sometimes it is because someone has too many of them to eat so to to avoid waste they give them away to relatives, friends or neighbours.
  20. I don't know. I've never heard that before. The one I had access to was in an enclosed metal cabinet. Nobody ever mentioned anything about it being X-Ray proof. Was the one you had access to enclosed in an X-Ray proof cabinet?
  21. I can remember enjoying watching a mercury arc rectifier do its thing. It looked something like this.
  22. I think you'll find it has already been moved from wherever it was. It is in the Business in Thailand, Jobs in Thailand, Insurance forum.
