How much do you pay your Thai woman per month?
Cameroni replied to Robert_Smith's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
If you pay the bills you are paying her. If you pay her rent/mortgage you are paying her. -

Same as every other country in the world. Don't see how this makes Thailand different. -
Good job buddy.

Ah Trump is not just a "madman", he is also Hitler? Or Mussolini? I'm confused. -
Kremlin Slams Macron’s Nuclear Comments as ‘Confrontational’

I mean I do get why you don't like Trump, I really do. But to paint him as a madman, it's not helping your case. It's too over the top. Maybe try more targeted attacks. This smacks of laziness. I know you can do a lot better. -
Maybe you want to rework the title into English?

Ferrari Joe was arrested and imprisoned. So clear evidence the Thai pollice and judiciary root out the bad eggs. -

Was Kosovo a member of NATO at the time? Was Albania a member of NATO at the time? No. So even without any NATO member being attacked NATO saw fit to bomb Serbia. -

Think about it. The policeman could have fined me anyway. Instead they were fair and let me go. This would indicate Thai police are a lot better than their reputation suggests. I don't think that couple need to worry if they really are innocent. -

Maybe tell that to Serbia on whom NATO dropped 11 tons of uranium in 38000 sorties of bomber planes. -

Shows that the police are a lot better at their job than you would be. After all I was not the owner of the vehicle and it is the owner's responsibility to keep tax discs up to date. This is what I mean, Thai police and judicial system are smarter than Westerners can be sometimes, we don't need to worry. -

No, clearly I have to spell it out yet again. It illustrates how fair Thai police and systems are here. If the Brits are innocent they have nothing to fear. Now run along. -

If you look at the geography of Russia, most of its territory is the great European plains. These are impossible to defend, virtually. Before the fall of the USSR when Russia controlled Ukraine and the other republics it controlled territory right up to the starting point of the great European plains. However, with the fall of the USSR and the subsequent enlargement of NATO, in particular the threatened accession of Ukraine to NATO, in reality NATO forces would then have moved closer to about 300 km from the nearest big Russian city. NATO would have controlled big swathes of these European plains. It would have become impossible to defend Russia. Therefore when it became clear that NATO intended to welcome Ukraine into its fold, this was a major threat to Russian security. If Russia continued to hope to resist any invasion from the West it had to expand eastwards. -

If you want quality butter I would stay away from this New Zealand and Australian rubbish and instead buy the Danish butter sold in Tops. Not Lurpak. The other one. There is also good French butter. All Australian and New Zealand butter was truly poor, if you do not have money Orchid is always an option.

Leaving the preposterous nature of your thought-experiment to one side, as if the world would ever stop transacting with the US, one of the most important export markets in the world, you are delusional if you think the US is dependent on Canada in any way shape or form. The US does not have the capacity to replace Canadian lumber? You must be dreaming. Germany can replace Russian oil with Norwegian and Canadian oil but the US cannot do likewise? How odd. Speaking of Russia, perhaps the US could buy some cheaper Russian lumber, after all there is already talk of reviving Nord Stream 2 with American backing. Same with Aluminium, why can the US not replace it and get it elsewhere? Nor does the US depend on Canadian fertilizer, that is all fantasy. But thanks for confirming that exports represent 11% only of the US GDP. That leaves only 24 trillion then. How will the US survive on this paltry sum? Hahahaha. Dependent on Canadian fertilizer, thanks for the laughs Patong.

Kremlin Slams Macron’s Nuclear Comments as ‘Confrontational’

I'd like to see the numbers for that theory. Brits think because they did not surrender in WWII and, ironically, Russia saved their bacon by defeating Germany this is a successful strategy. But it was only successful because Britain was protected by a body of water and had another nation, Russia, die and win on the battlefield for them. Ukraine does not have either, and I fail to see how Ukraine can ever win this war. Just generally btw, how would you calculate those odds, if you look at all the wars where a country has refused to surrender and lost quite badly, you'd have a very long list. Far longer than instances where non-surrender has resulted in victory or a draw. -
Is it possible Trump is trying to sabotage the world economy?

Trump does not want a total surrender of Ukraine. Nor does Putin by the way. And whilst it's true that Russia can't fight the war for all eternity, it is extremely obvious that before Russia falls from exhaustion Ukraine will have fallen 20 times. All Putin wants is to secure the strategic position of the Russian homeland, which is non-negotiable. I mean he went to war over it. Ukraine has to accept that it will lose territory and give peace to its citizens. Everything else is folly. -

Cameroni replied to spidermike007's topic in Political Soapbox
Obviously Trump can't implement a "5 Year Plan" to "force" Aemrican companies to relocate. He's not Stalin and the US is not Soviet Russia. However, he is deftly forcing FOREIGN companies to pay more to sell in the US and making THEIR products more expensive. Obviously this will make US made products cheaper by comparison and secure and create US jobs. Not to mention the additional money hat will flow into the US as additional revenue from the tariffs themselves. Rather than "decimate" the US economy Trump is protecting the US economy from cheapear and better competition. Very sensible. -

The guy is clearly delusional. Russia will win the war against Ukraine and is winning it now. Without US support Ukraine has no chance.
