My theory, yes the genes are good, in that they are homogenous, but this lack of admixture of "new" genes, has resulted in a lack of attractiveness. As a general rule, the best looking ethnic clusters tend to be those where a lot of admixture has happened, say Russians, with the Mongolian and European mix, Brazilians with the white and black admixture, same in Colombia, and of course Filipinas are mish mash of negritos, Malays and whites.
