  1. Great job. First video is after the attack, but second video is BEFORE the attack and clearly shows the Swede got physical with the girl and pushed her to the floor. So I was right, the Swede was physically violent towards the girl. She then kept attacking him and he probably got even more violent, sadly the video cuts off. Anyway, very clear the Swede pushed the girl to the floor, very obviously excessive violence.
  2. Indeed the girl can perhaps not control her emotions and go mental at you. However, it is clear from how you react if you are a threat to the girl or not, even if she attracts attention. Here, clearly the Swede reacted in an aggressive manner. Unable to control his emotions just like the girl who serviced him.
  3. Absolutely. It's completely idiotic to get physical and argue with a Thai gir in public in Thailand. If a Thai girl argues with you in public, even if she physically attacks you, you walk away. You don't engage. Hitting a Thai girl is a bad look for a big foreigner.
  4. Well, he seemed pretty shaken up and worse for wear. From the video it is very clear at least one of the attackers had Muay Thai training. They probably went easy on him, as they didn't want to kill him, just teach him a little lesson.
  5. The article says that the Swede and his gf had a heated argument and the gf attacked him. Since the girl attacked him, he most likely retaliated physically. Thai guys saw it and clearly took umbrage at this large foreigner getting physical with a girl. Maybe he cheated, but he certainly must have got physical with her.
  6. I'm almost certain that's what happened. They got in a heated argument, the Swede smacked her. Thai guys saw it and went to defend the damsel in distress. Quite obvious really.
  7. He's not Swiss, he's Swedish. And yes, his gf seems a poor choice. Even so, that does not explain 10 guys laying into him. For that to happen, he would have had to do something that's very off. And it was clearly not refusing the girl money, since after his beating his gf steps up to him saying "Why did you DO that to me?" So the guy did something to the girl. Miost likely he got physical with the girl, Thais saw it and exacted swift justice.
  8. He got a good beating, and he clearly deserved it. Judging by his girlfriend's reactions this Swede had very few redeeming qualities.
  9. You don't need to assume, you just need to logically deduce. If ten guys attack a Swede, that Swede did something to trigger it. If you can't figure that out yourself, then you better stfu.
  10. Yes, I strongly doubt vaccinations had anything to do with it, clearly the economic disaster that were the lockdowns created the added pressures and higher mental health issues. And yet it is women who have more than double the rate of mental health disorders, so it is not just down to environmental factors, gender clearly pays a far bigger role. It's actually scary if you think 70% of women have mental health issues.
  11. In 1820 the Netherlands had a GDP per capita that was 70% higher than Switzerland's, the rise of Switzerland in economic terms began about 1880. It still took some time though, in 1910 wages in Leipzig were 15% higher than in Switzerland. In terms of GDP per capita Switzerland surpassed the UK in 1920 and the USA in the 1950s. However, in the 1980s, the USA again surpassed Switzerland iin GDP per capita. In fact Switzerland then lost ground in the last 25 years of the 20th century. However, it is undeniable that this small country has been an economic success story. Of course there is not just one factor, but two factos stand out: 1) Strong competition, which resulted in efficiency and innovation and 2) a superb and balanced political system that provided stability. But there are many factors, the small size of Switzerland for instance forced Swiss firms early on to internationalize. Switzerland has been open and international for a long time. The share of foreigners measured as the stock of foreign born residents relative to total population equalled 22 per cent in 2005 which ranks Switzerland in first place. This was of course also helped by Switzerland's geographic location, it was destined to be an international hub. Some of the largest multinationals in Switzerland were founded by immigrants.(e.g., Henri Nestlé, Charles Brown and Walter Boveri). Then there's tax competition between the cantons. There are many reasons for Switzerland's leading economic position. In fact tax is one such reason as well, since Switzerland was one of the original tax havens. Trillions of dollars poured into Switzerland from Germany, UK, middle east and Africa. This led to a massively strong financial sector. Much like the Cayman Islands today are one of the countries with the highest GDP due to their tax haven success. Then there's the effect of the wars. Switzerland was always neutral, but unlike other neutral countries, Switzerland was spared by Germany in WWII. Part of the reason for that was that the Swiss national bank was profiteer, buying looted Nazi Gold and concentration camp gold. The Swiss national bank admitted it made a 20 billion francs profit on those dealings. After wwII most of Europe was destroyed as well, German factories dismantled. This was not the case in Switzerland, which was able to step up production to service the destroyed European economies. In fact the link with Europe's Blue Banana, that corridor that stretches from the UK through Benelux, Switzerland, Germany and northern Italy, was very important. Switzerland benefitted from the many inventions of that corridor and being able to export to this wealthy corridor of Europe. https://www.wider.unu.edu/sites/default/files/RP2009-25.pdf Absolutely normal, in fact if you look at history what the Pound and other currencies have lost since 1880 it is a relatively small loss. Again, the Dollar was on a massive bulll run not so long ago, it is only to be expected that it went down, especially with a president hell-bent on a lower US Dollar.
  12. Indeed they would have done the blood tests, but it takes a doctor with the will and knowledge to investigate the right avenues. Looks he did not get lucky and find such a doctor. Such a sad story.
  13. Nothing wrong at all, as has been said upthread already, the current president has decided he wants a lower Dollar. Plus the Dollar, not so long ago was on a major bull run. It's perfectly normal that it would go down. If you look at the all time US Dollar Index, you will see the Dollar has been much lower, and the current movement is perfectly normal.
  14. Exactly. Plus the Dollar was on a massive bull run fairly recently, it was only natural that it would go down.
  15. What a sad story to see such a loyal wife in a helpless state. It is not uncommon for a patient to have a disease that many doctors cannot diagnose, this is the case not just in Thailand but also in many Western countries. It's basically a roll of the dice, with doctors it's like with professional footballers, only a small minority are any good. Plus you need to have one that has the right speciality. It's very sad, because he's only in his 60s, if a proper diagnosis could be reached and effective treatment could be provided perhaps he would be able to live another 30 years. What if we all pitch in with 500 baht? Set up a Go Fund Me?
  16. The paper says it was exacerbated by Covid, so it has something to do with it. But yes, as per the chart I posted above, the rates have gone up for 3 decades, roughly since the internet and mobile phone were popularised.
  17. No it hasn't, stop posting lies and misinformation. As you can see here the dollar is not at a new low, far from it. Kindly stop posting outright lies.
  18. It's Thailand, you can get a housekeeper for 700 baht a day. And you don't need to feed her.
  19. I'm not sure but I think I read somewhere that you have to chastise according to certain rules. As to those women on whose part ye fear disloyalty and ill-conduct, admonish them (first), (Next), refuse to share their beds, (And last) beat them (lightly); but if they return to obedience, seek not against them Means (of annoyance): For Allah is Most High, great (above you all). https://www.brandeis.edu/projects/fse/muslim/translation.html#:~:text=As to those women on,great (above you all). So you can't just go mental on the biatch.
  20. i didn't say it was "fair" but almost certainly justified. If life was fair, well, I'd be King then, wouldn't I?
  21. I don't like the head scarves though. And that wailing form the mosques every 3 hours, it's just so over the top. When I was staying in KL, it was not a good experience. But the substantive parts of Sharia, I have to say, make a lot of sense.
  22. Public lashing for cheating would suffice, surely we can tweak it a bit? Obviously women don't have to wear that head scarve, let's adopt a liberal form of Sharia. Homosexuals get thrown off the tops of buildings? No law is perfect I guess, but rules are rules.
  23. Are we sure about this? I thought Muslims were dope fiends? Well, that's just common sense, isn't it? The more I learn about this Sharia, the more I like it. Don't they also cane cheaters in North Sumatra?
  24. Havana, Cuba is by far the worst city in the world. You'll be welcomed by a cuban guy tailing you to see if he can persuade you to go to specific restaurant so he gets a sack of rice. Looking around nothing but housing that's falling apart, with people that have dead eyes looking from out of the ruins. A worse place than Havana? Perhaps Harlow in the UK now.
  25. Ok, to sum up, with Sharia we get 4 wives, can divorce just by saying "I divorce you" and thieves get their hand chopped off? So isn't Sharia vastly superior to US or UK law? Why don't we adopt it?
